That's a good question and probably so I mean who would kill another person if not being tricked by demons..
i seariously feel gOD WOULD NOT SAY KILL THEM ALL as what was written in the bible by samuel and dont spare the infants thats just sick in my book and not the word of a great protecter

is it possible that saul was being tricked by demons and maybe samuel was a false profit

Paul speaks to this and states that he was serving God ignorantly...I.E. he had no clue...his Pharisee(ism), unbelief and ignorance of the scriptures led him to erroneously do the things he had been doing......

English Standard Version
though formerly I was a blasphemer, persecutor, and insolent opponent. But I received mercy because I had acted ignorantly in unbelief,

Berean Study Bible
I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and a violent man; yet because I had acted in ignorance and unbelief, I was shown mercy.

Berean Literal Bible
being formerly a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and insolent; but I was shown mercy, because I did it in unbelief, being ignorant.

New American Standard Bible
even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent aggressor. Yet I was shown mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief;

King James Bible
Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

lol lets look at facts then

???

Facts:

1. Found a few people who wanted to study with me on the topic.

2. More who had a habit of misunderstanding what is being said (assuming or making false inferences of others beliefs and responding according to their mistaken beliefs)

3. Other who want to talk about other side topics.

I prefer 1.tolerate 3 and dislike 2.

So which one do you want to be?

I believe the Bible would have told us if Saul was demonically possessed, wouldn't it?

So you want to toss all the books written by the prophet Samuel? Any other books in the Bible you don't like?

Good point. Even though he was a sinner and blasphemer Jesus still shown himself to him so that he could be saved and learn the error of his ways.

He didn't just hide his face from him and leave him in darkness. He went looking for him just like he goes looking for all sinners.

I guess it was good that God showed himself to Paul before he got to out of hand.

lol we must have been typing at the same time.. :)

One would think...as it does the others that are possessed.....such as the man on the tombs and the one who the disciples of Jesus could not handle........

Your way or the highway huh.. Don't mean to be negative but that sure is a negative statement..

Yes indeed....mercy, grace and unconditional love.......

No God didn't hide His face. He blinded Saul for 3 days.

I am just going to accept the fact we have different definitions on what it means for God to hide His face.

I asked it so I could look at scriptures with like minded folks who wanted to study what it meant.

I agree...all your OP's purposes are for others to talk about them - never to rant.

People may have a different view but I would never say there is any malice in any of your OP's. They always are for our good in your mind - of that I am fully persuaded.

Sometimes he has to blind us to get our attention and make us see... He may have to chastise us or bring us down in order to get our attention...
I don't think that means he is hiding his face from us.

nope it is better to light a candle than to curse in the darkness
