Long hair is for covering.

But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
1 Corinthians 11:15 KJV

For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
1 Corinthians 11:7 KJV

Some men with long hair look like a woman. But some still manage to look manly. But looks are deceiving. Most homosexuals today look manly with all those muscles. Yes God looks at the heart but maybe God still wants male and female to appear as clearly as male or female. That is why He considered cross dressing as abomination.
Umm I am familiar with these scriptures. I thought that would be clear from the post, and the questioning manner of the post.

I don't know how you can make the leap that "that is why" he considered cross dressing as such. I think there's actually more to it with cross dressing. There are contrasting scriptures regarding hair though, thus my confusion. Yes, this is a personal thing.

It seems you may be lumping together long hair in a homosexual argument. Or am I misunderstanding? All of the people that I've ever come across that identified as such had short hair.

It's not my intention to be on the offense here, I'm just pushing back a bit because I am confused about this issue and it remains unclear.

What could be Paul's reason for saying it is shameful? I am not sure either. He has a good reason and it may be not just plain cultural. What I am saying is homosexuality is a possible reason. The bottomline is that if a man grows her hair long to look like a woman then it is an abomination and it is indeed shameful.

Um, yeah. There's definitely an abomination in there somewhere. ;)

This thread has taken a weird turn.

Why does it matter what Jesus looked like? The book Revelation has a description of him.

Looks vary from culture to culture.
Long hair varies from culture to culture.

We’re told when the Lord returns he will be wearing redand his hair like wool, white as the snow. Sounds like Satan clause.😜

Yeshua teaches nothing by going into the body corrupts the body making all foods and drink clean.
As for Lazrus, He, Yeshua, did nto go near him but called him living out of the tomb, for being the resurrection, Lazrus lived.
As for touching dead bodies, I do not believe He ever did, but when He does, they live.

Kirt Schneider addresses this topic in a recent episode of his show Discovering The Jewish Jesus. Starting around 4:15 is where he talks about the subject.

I don't think Jesus had long hair.

1 Corinthians 11:14 KJV

Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
And yet if a man does not cut his hair, like unto a woman, it naturally grows long. As God is the source of nature.....

azareth. I quite liked the Christ portrayal there.
Though I now know that a Caucasian would not truly be the actual image of the true Jesus. Loved that movie.

Then I watched a documentary entitled, The Shroud of Turin, the real face of Jesus. And the image the producers of that doc. extrapolated from the real shroud of Turin is more like it.

Speaking of unnatural genders, some trans people make scarily good looking opposite genders. Some you can't tell that they "used to be" (and still are) men, and vice versa..

Like my neighbor Angelika, she looked manly even BEFORE she tried turning herself into a man. She had her boobs cut off, her vagina fashioned into a penis and she's taking male hormones/ steroids and now has a mustache and armpit hairs.. Her "male" name is Aidan, but I still call her Angelika and it makes her mad.. lol

That's just part aof the symptamology of her mental illness. :( No matter how she mutilates her body, she will never be a man. She will be a female mutilating herself so as to have male features.
The hormone cocktail such afflicted persons have to consume in order to sustain the falsity of their opposite gender destroys their health over the long period of time they're required to consume them. Which is the rest of their life. Which is cut short due to the overall abuse to their physical self and their internal organs that have to suffer the chemical saturation of drugs that act in conflict to what are natural hormones and other chemical processes being suppressed so as to in effect destroy any semblance of her actual gender.
It's a mental illness that is placated by a collusive medical establishment to the detriment of the patient who in essence has committed to a regimen of slow suicide. (self-murder. Because she is dedicated to destroying her natural born gender and replacing it with an artificial facade that her own body fights against as best it can. Even when inundated with synthetic hormone blockers.)

In truth all physicians that concede to enable the mental illness that is Body Dysmorphic Disorder are by the standards of true medical ethics, committing medical malpractice.
And what of all those BDD sufferers that go to those extremes and years down the road realize they made a huge mistake? And then live with regret for the rest of their lives.

Welcome back, Tinkerbell!

I just wanted to add that Paul says a woman should have long hair because of the angels.

Thanks @Moses_Young !

Speaking of angels, Lucifer was an angel. I have this wild theory that he is the original homosexual who looked pretty with all his radiance and who acted like a diva in heaven. Maybe God burned all the Sodomites because they remind Him of satan.

Yikes! That's an extreme theory, even by my reckoning! :)

I guess Satan is always looking for ways to pervert and destroy what God made good, and scripture teaches that such abominations are unnatural, so I'm certain there is a spiritual component, and Satan may have been the spiritual origin.

Isaiah 53: 2 is most likely the best description of Jesus, and I quote... "he has no FORM or COMELINESS; and when we shall see him, there is NO BEAUTY that we would desire him. As for all this long hair stuff, Paul says it is a shame for men to have long hair as a woman does, and I would think that relates to beyond shoulder length.

Hi!
....Lucifer was an angel.
Ezek 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

2. (apparently) a spiritual being created for a discrete purpose, thus differing from other cherubim in this manner.
[of uncertain derivation]
KJV: cherub, (plural) cherubims.
-------
Gen 19:15 And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.

H4397 מַלאָךְ mal'ak (mal-awk') n-m.
1. a messenger.
2. (specifically, of God) an angel.
3. (thus, also) a prophet, priest or teacher.
[from an unused root meaning to despatch as a deputy]
KJV: ambassador, angel, king, messenger.

God Bless!
