Anointed Christ is, and we are invited to join in and participate and receive this by belief, not works. Works do come afterwards as a response in thankfulness and praises, not in creating anymore as we once did, you think?

Wha does "grace alone by faith" mean? Why do we have to repent if we are saved by grace? Or is grace referred to as God giving is Jesus?

To be saved by grace means to be saved by God because He favors us. That doesn't mean that one has no part in being saved it simply means that we can be saved because God favors us.

The whole Idea of coming to Christ is because of repentance
Romans 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? (Believe is an action word repentance is an act of belief) So you think it is a mind thing No when we believe, we will turn from our wicked ways and serve the living God(repent) vs 10 believeth unto righteousness

And ultimately, would this not be between God and you, first and foremost the most important of all, even if flesh comes to complain as they did in Acts 6, and things started to go catty-wampum, out of God's order, and tricked into man's way taht is divided and can't stand, maybe something to think about? Man has taken his claws and laid it all over truth has man not?

Now, we have repented, we have faith in the Lord as our salvation and creator, are we then done with the Lord? The Lord sends us His word, his laws, and the Holy Spirit to guide us now we are saved. Aren't we to listen?
Good question....
[h=3]James 1:21-24[/h]King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]22 [/SUP]But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
[SUP]23 [/SUP]For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

Thank you, and why? Who knows, but God, and I am thankful for that, as I see you are also, thank you Jesus Christ, for the provision, For i know I can't do it and need you in my steads to do what you need done to and for all, thank you

Are you the author of confusion why can't you say plainly if you agree or not it seems as though you are riding on the edge agreeing yet disagreeing not sure of yourself. It is almost impossible to make a connection between my post and your response. Do you wish to elaborate on your response to my post?

okay, so now if "I" my "I" gets in the way, "I" fail this test and do not see the engrafted word do I? Maybe you all as well, I can't speak for anyone else, I am only speaking for what God has shown me what God's engrafted, Imputed righteousness is and what is not?
So you all decide, thank you for listening, knowing in your own hearts error from truth, and learn by our mistakes to walk in truth over error, as we continue on here in this world for now, by Faith in Christ alone to Father for me anyway

here it is again agreeing yet disagreeing what is it you cannot do?

Do you not see this fight that started in Acts 6, and the apostles gave into it? Flesh complaining, not rained enough, rained too much.

1 Corinthians 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

Salvation through Christ is not accomplished by obeying law, it is only accomplished through grace. That is done when we acknowledge God, and we go to God to lead us. So we go to Christ for cleansing, to be accepted because we have faith in God, and Christ is God.

Now that is over and done.

We are loved by the Lord, we are His child, we are part of the family of the Lord. God wants the best for His children, and the law leads the child to the best, to abundance for him. God wants that child to be part of Him, and God cannot be part of sin, so God leads his family away from sin. If the child gives his whole self over to sin, then God cannot live within that child any longer for God cannot live with sin. Christ tells us that the more we walk with Him in the kingdom, the greater we are in His kingdom.

Salvation is apart from this, salvation is through faith.

While that may sound very nice and comfortable but you posted no scripture to support it
so I will post none.
Now I ask you, If I hired you to do a job you sign a contract where you get all your payments cash up front including gratuity and severance and under any circumstance it cannot be taken back.1. What guarantee do I have you will do the job. 2.What kind of person will you think I am?

Just saying and see no contradiction, do you?

Did you read the scripture to give a response or to see how it applies to you? To answer your question. You see the light through faith in the word You have to bring death to self...
Romans 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

everything in 1 cor 13:4-13 is found in the power of his resurrection ..I am telling you if you are in Christ you have no business talking about confidence in self. Unless your faith is in vain. God gave you the power to do it ...What is hindering you. You think he must come and do it for you .Who is the servant and who is the master. Obey the master ...receive your sight and rise up and walk...God bless

yes brothet just as I need God's approval I need your approval how else can we have unity in the faith. If God say yea ,you say yea and I say yea we have unity. You don't have to agree with me, I don't have to agree with you but we all have to agree with God. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.On some things we agree on others we don't . This is where we allow the word to be what we agree to. We do not twist God's word to suit our doctrine. We do not add or take away from God's word. And we always obey God's word.

Wha does "grace alone by faith" mean? Why do we have to repent if we are saved by grace? Or is grace referred to as God giving is Jesus?
In the beginning, it is the Lord's forgiveness that saves us. However, he expects us to learn from our mistakes and repent. Paul tells us how we have to work out our own salvation (Phil 2:12-13) and Jesus tells us to repent (Matt 4:17).

I see no bearings in Acts 6 and what is being discussed,,, we have strayed somewhat from the op and theme of the thread

So to be clear, true repent actually means to change from unbelief to belief right, at least that is what I see as what repent means to me, to change one's mind is this right in your view?

No sir. Repent means to be sorry for and to turn the other way from, whatever you are sorry for. I was just responding to the scripture verse that was being used.
The scripture that was used was, "Repent ye, and believe the Gospel' (Mark 1.15).
It means, to turn from doubting the gospel to believing it. It is not saying to repent of your dead works and believe the gospel. The problem with repentance to receive salvation, is that it would negate or supersede all the other verses that say contrary.

Sir, is it necessary for me to remind you to whom this epistle was written to? It was not to the unbeliever, but to the church.
Repentance from dead works is for the church of Christ, not for the unbelievers. They don't know the half of what they do as sin.
I don't mean this sarcastically, but read the scriptures, the only requirement for salvation is, faith in Christ. Repentance from sins committed have been omitted in all the verses that speak of salvation. The only repentance needed for the unbeliever is from doubting to believing.
Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Rom 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Rom 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
These are just a few verses that failed to mention to the unbeliever to repent of their sins first, so that they can be saved. These and other verses like it, are either the truth, as is, or they are half of the truth, which is the same as a lie, for it would be deceptive.
