What makes homosexuality so bad?

If anyone in the wider audience is struggling with homosexuality, Zone, wanderer6059, lv2ski, Susanna and JesusLives, had some fantastic takes on the matter that cast light on causes of and how it can be resolved. From past trauma to primary attachment figures, they gave insight and empathy to those lost on their walk with Christ. While you won’t count on a Christian, substantive reception from everyone, if you go further you will find those with compassion and understanding who believe you want to change and can.

I do understand what you are trying to do here. We are to have compassion on others and show them the love of God. However, we are also to use wisdom with judgement. The word of God is a two edged sword and God knows what someone needs to hear whether it be compassion or not. He knows if they are broken hearted in need of compassion or if they are just rebellious and in need of reproof. So that’s why I said I try to speak only the word of God, and the rest will fall into place however he wants it.
Jude 1:21-23
Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22And of some have compassion, making a difference:
23And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

Also in 2Corinthians 7:9-10
Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.
10For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.


Paul is talking about the fact that sometimes the word of God will make others sorrowful and that sorrow works to their repentance.

To give him a chance to know the truth. It is not a question whether he believes it or not. When someone asks questions give them the right answers. Why are you afraid to quote the Bible? Is it because you also doubt it? How dare you compare it to harry potter.

First learn how to read 28 pages before u pick something out because you have nothing else to do in your life beside picking fights. I myself do not care about your oppinion at all. God gave us a brain and if u deside not to use it that is on you. I only see a spoiled person thinking she knows it all and basicly I feel very sorry for people like you. Out duty is to tell people what god says if they reject it that is not on us . If you thik your job is to be the Babysitter of people go right ahead. I seen many people like you in my life , way to many. Thank god we still have a few real Christians not living in Lala land and having the knowlege and wisdom from god to smell fake stuff 10 miles against the wind.

I fully agree with Lady bug we have a few dumm babbler in here and you are one of them. Now you have a ground to start with me if you dare. For I block nasty people in a heart beat and never waist time on people that sit on a high horse and proof by what they say they only are hatefull and want a fight. Your a very childish person, not smart and all you do is proove it over and over again. Do you have a other hobby beside bothering Lady Bug ? You must be a very jealous vain girl otherwise you would not do that. Seems u can not stand it if adults act like adults and refuse to join your little sand box. Mayb go9s have mercy on you

I agree. That is what we do. Tell them, and let them sort out what they will do. That is why we have a free will. And telling one about gods word doesnt mean to bother them over and over again and stalk them.

good point. The answer is god tells us to tell them. If you do not tell them how should they know? You do not know what it will do telling this person now...maybe one day he will remember. God`s word doesn`t come back empty. Plus if that person during his life doesn`t comes to god and keeps rejecting , on judgement say you will get ask did u told him. You can say Yes I did. The other person will get asked did you got told. He will say yes but I did not believed it. So you did right on that person there will be no fault on you. THAT is why we tell them. So god will not find us guilty for not telling one.

In fact he is right for he doesn`t undrstand what is behind it. It is not about if that person believes or not, cares or not. At that moment it is about us doing what god told us to do. You do not want his blood on your hand so to speak.

So it was a typical answer from a human point of few Dude gave, but not eflecting the few of a Christian.

Yeraza_Bats This was not a matter of someone who struggles with homosexuality and had questions about God. This was about someone who saw no problem with homosexuality, claimed to know the bible and put us down for believing in God.

Maybe you should read the entire thread and not just focus on a few posts you like. I understand the issue pretty well, Id think.



I told her the same thing. But she likes bothering people. I think she needs a lot of prayers she has a big problem and can not stand any sort of competition in anything. Would not be bad if she would at least know what she is talking about...

blue i was right there, she didn't say anything of a personal connection with Jesus. she can know the bible all she wanted and say shes devoted. but in the end she did not have the personal connection to God that is the mark of true relationship with Him.

amen, but you start with the Gospel and the truth of who Christ is, and the nature of sin, then latter once a person believe you can move to correction.

Maybe you should reread my post for that answer.

Also, if you read the entire thread, youd see I didnt rely only on the Word of God. (Not that its unimportant, it is the law we are to follow)

Harry Potter isn't actually witchcraft, but the comparison between HP and God's Word is still inappropriate and stupid.
