Im not really much of a fan of kim chee I have to say! sorry.
I'll have hot pot though.
Writing threads is also my way of trying to express my gratitude towards this site and the hard-working people who keep it running, so as long as God grants me ideas and the means to type them out, you can rest assured that I'll keep going.
It might just be me, but I assume sites like this run on audience participation, which is always the goal of my threads. People have often told me I should write a book or blog and it's very sweet of them to say so, but I'd rather spend my time and energy trying to spark discussions that encourage as many people as possible to participate and hopefully feel that their voice is heard.
And sometimes, even if no one answers, it's ok, because maybe that particular thread was meant to be read and not so much discussed. Either way, I'm not worried. Every thread is just practice for future threads that are still being formulated.
I write threads as part of my personal contribution to CC, and if I'm ever doing something wrong, should cut back, or change topics, I thoroughly trust and will follow whatever guidelines the site administrators choose to give me.
Until then, bombs away!

I tried making turkish delight and it turned out a disaster. It tasted like it was diluted or something. You could get the gist of it because of the rose water essence but either the recipe lacked some of the ingredients or the quantities were wrong.
I've had real turkish delight and my overall response was something like "c'mon Edmund this isn't nearly good enough of a bribe to do anything; it's just like fancy all natural gummies" So yeah cake and ice cream or something with just as much creamy fatness as sugar if you want to motivate me.
Speaking of single awareness day... this Sunday I'm scheduled to do church service preliminaries - announcements, offering, prayer requests, etc. This Sunday happens to be February 14th.
I commented about this to the pastor's wife, as it seemed to me rather foolhardy that they would put a known smart-alec in charge of the service on such a day. She said, "Just bridle your tongue, Isaac. You can do it."
Forget the sound of one hand clapping. If you hear the sound of 180 eyes rolling, coming from somewhere in the direction of west Tennessee, that'll be us.

It was set in WWII era. It wasn't that long ago and they had cake as far back as the late 1700's I think we're just going to have to chalk that one up to children's tastes (and in all fairness maybe it was something attractive because it was fairly exotic).

We have a teddy bear furry bookmark though.
I dont thnk the chocolate is really selling...it kinda sells all year round. Chocolate is chocolate, just with different packaging. Some people still have chocolates left over from Christmas!
What Ive seen is jewellery stores making a big deal of it (valentines) though.

So yeah before I go for the whole eating healthier thing, there is steak, turtle cheesecake, and strawberries and whipping cream to make real whipped cream all in the fridge after my grocery shopping last night. Because who needs chocolates when you can have cheesecake (with chocolate on top of course)?
I think children need chocolates. Theyre quite handy as it stops them from talking for a while.
Maybe the number of chocolates given represent the number of children you are going to have?
Or...you save them up for Halloween. Or Easter. Happy Chocolate day!
