Without violating Matthew 5:22.
Jesus Himself called people fools at times (Mt. 23:17; Lk. 11:40). As did Paul, by referring to the Galatian as foolish (Gal. 3:1). The OT also uses the word “fool” on a number of occasions.

It's a person who says there is no God.
It's a person who despise instruction
It's a person whos mocking sin.
Foolish talk.
The Bible is full of examples of these. It point toward a thoughtless act or statement. Not necessarily to insult ones intelligence.

Psalms uses “fool” twice for people who say there is no God. Proverbs uses “fool” repeatedly to denote someone who refuses correction, will not learn, makes poor choices and exercises bad judgment, usually to his own detriment.

Given that, I think it’s appropriate to use for people who exhibit similar behaviour, in the hope of redemption, rather than dismissal.

Thank you for the much detailed information.

Pro_26:4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.
Pro_26:5 Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.

This apparent inconsistency can be resolved by seeing each verse in context.

Do not engage a fool if there is a danger of being drawn into his foolishness.
Do engage a fool if there is a chance you might help.

Calling someone a "fool" to express annoyance or contempt is not a very Christian thing to do.

As people turn away from Christ, one first notices that people have a lack of wisdom and are less able to discern truth. Next one observes excessive self-indulgence. Lastly one observes foolishness. Hopefully this is indicitive of the soon return of Christ.

Yes, and the same goes for calling someone a "liar" (John 8:42-44).

Jesus Himself called people fools at times (Mt. 23:17; Lk. 11:40). As did Paul, by referring to the Galatian as foolish (Gal. 3:1). The OT also uses the word “fool” on a number of occasions.

Mat 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

Psa 92:6 A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.

Pro 10:8 The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.

Pro 10:23 It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.

Pro 12:15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

Pro 14:16 A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.

Pro 17:10 A reproof entereth more into a wise man than an hundred stripes into a fool.

Pro 17:16 Wherefore is there a price in the hand of a fool to get wisdom, seeing he hath no heart to it?

Pro 18:2 A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.

Pro 23:9 Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.

Pro 26:11 As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.

Pro 19:29 Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the back of fools.

A fool is someone who will not learn or listen no matter if you tell them multiple times.

They refuse to give heed to the truth in conduct, and behavior, and the ways of God.

Pro 19:29 Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the back of fools.

Pro 15:5 A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.

Pro 17:21 He that begetteth a fool doeth it to his sorrow: and the father of a fool hath no joy.

Pro 23:13 Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.
Pro 23:14 Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.

The rod for the fool's back.

A fool is not a child that commits a sin for even parents will sin as well as many people.

But it is a child that refuses to obey their parents being rebellious, and in defiance of them.

So the only way to correct them is with physical punishment.

A child can sin but not be in defiance of their parents but a fool does not care.

So I do not believe a parent should spank a child for every thing they do wrong.

But talk to them first and see how their behavior plays out.

For a rod for the fool's back and they might not qualify as a fool.

The 1960's counter culture movement was bad for America for their behavior of do what you want, and rebellion against authority including parents.

Eph 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
Eph 6:2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise).

Pro 30:11 There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.
Pro 30:12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.

Eph 6:4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

Col 3:20 Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
Col 3:21 Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

Children that obey their parents is the first commandment with promise.

For if they humble themselves before their parents they are more likely to humble themselves before people and authority, and more likely to accept the truth and God not wanting to exalt themselves.

The 1960's put a damper on that somewhat and the behavior of that will cause the children to grow up worse, and then their children worse.

Which the age of the children being disobedient went down as time passed to where 5 year olds will sass and be defiant.

But the parents also have a responsibility to not provoke their children to wrath and be discouraged by the parents behavior and lifestyle.

That is a problem.

In the 1960's the youth were rebelling against authority including parents.

They grew up with less morals than their parents.

And then they grow up with less morals than their parents.

And because of the parents that they smoke, and drink, do drugs, and steal, and cuss and swear, and dog out the neighbors, and drink and drive, and short with the children, and being lazy, and other rotten behavior that was inevitable that it would happen.

The children do not want to listen to the parents, and do not respect them, and think you tell me how to behave right but you do not want to act right.

And they grow up worse than their parents.

It is like a vicious cycle.

And what will be the outcome.

The beast kingdom.

The New World Order people knew that as well as all people with power that want a change.

For the children are the future which is why Hitler had the Hitler Youth which was the youth wing of the German Nazi Party.

I believe the new age had a hand in the 1960's counter culture movement, feminism, LGBTQ+, and the Woke movement.

Marilyn Ferguson wrote a book The Aquarian Conspiracy on how to influence society to reflect the new age and she said change children's education which they influence the children so they will be accepting of the Woke movement.

1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.

2Ti 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

The new age that interprets the Bible and religions according to the occult and evolution, and people are going to evolve to be spiritual, and greater, and Jesus became an ascended master among others, and there is no personal God, but they honor the God of forces the power of the Cosmos, and the New Age Christ is the next world teacher.

Which the New Age Christ/ antichrist will be of the new age.

Mat 19:25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
Mat 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

But someone that is a fool does not mean they cannot change but they could be in that position at the time.

But the position of being a fool would lessen their chance at coming to the truth.

For it would be harder to reach them because they are more stubborn.

So if we call someone a fool are we saying they are worthless and cannot change.

Are we saying that God cannot save them when all things are possible with Him.

How can we judge and say fool for do we even know if they are a fool in all facets of their life.

And we cannot say that they cannot change.

It is like we are condemning them believing they cannot change and be saved any more than a stone.

So the behavior towards them is not right, condemning, not love, so it is not rightful behavior.

But not everyone that calls someone a fool qualifies for this behavior.

Because they might call someone a fool for a single act of doing something wrong, or whatever behavior it is, and not saying they are an all around general purpose fool.

Which we might say someone is stupid, or dumb, for a single thing they did, and sometimes we are joking around when we know they are not like that all the time, and a lot of times it is a mistake on their part, or not paying attention.

Sometimes we say fool in place of stupid or dumb in this instance.

Not everyone that says fool are using it in the context of the true meaning of fool in the Bible.

Jesus could say fool for He is the righteous Judge and knows the heart and what they are all about.

Anyone else that said it in the Bible was saying it by the Lord.
