This is a common question when someone famous dies.

Some may feel that hell isn't an appropriate topic at a funeral. But I think
that, other than Xmas and Easter, you couldn't pick a better time to bring it
up, especially since Christ said that the majority is headed in that direction.
(Matt 7:13-14, Matt 22:14, Luke 13:22-24)

According to the Bible; not many great people are called. If that's true, then
we have to expect that the majority of the world's best and brightest
achievers-- the really big names in sports, science, medicine, politics,
technology, business, industry, religion, entertainment, and education, etc -
don't, and won't, make it to safety when they pass on.

As I watched some of the splendor and pomp of President Gerald Ford's
funeral back in January of 2007, I couldn't help but wonder if he was in a
position to really appreciate it; as I suspect people in hell would certainly no
longer really care anymore whether they were given an unknown pauper's
disposal in a city incinerator, or reverently placed in a grand tomb in the
National Cemetery with world-wide television coverage.

Ecc 7:2 . . It is better to go to a house of mourning than to go to a house
of gaiety, for death is the destiny of every man; the living should take this
seriously.

Simple.

If he remained a muslim up until the moment of death - he is in Hades.

If he placed his faith in Christ before the moment of death - he is in heaven.

It's never a big mystery.

My Brother,

The smile -- awesome!

The beard -- awesome!

Your faith in Jesus -- awesome!

The Red Wings hat -- not so awesome! :D

What does it matter to you if i say all those who reject Jesus will spend Eternity in the Lake of Fire?

Who are you to tell us we cannot teach the Truth from the Scriptures?

If MA did reject Jesus then the Lake of Fire is where he will be for all eternity.

Who are you to suppress the Truth from God?

Of course he is in Hades... (the grave), the same place you and all the rest of us are going until raised for the judgement.

That is true but one must not presume that someone died without accepting Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.

While we cannot presume, we can know by the life he lived and what he believed. He was Muslim, was he not? If so,he did not have the truth. We have to be careful that we are not preaching that you can live anyway you want, or believe in any god you want and still go to heaven. While there is an outside chance of his accepting the Lord, his beliefs did not lead him that way.

My father preached a sermon for a friend. He was always talking about the Lord everywhere he went. He'd go to Mc Donalds and strike up a conversation and bring it to salvation and his testimony. Before he died he said to my father "make sure you preach about hell,I want anyone who comes to my funeral to know the truth." As I remember one person gave their heart to the Lord that day.

It's a hypothetical question I will not answer because I take my own salvation very seriously. And I take the holiness of God very seriously as well. I will never pretend to know as much as God by stating whether ANYONE is saved or not. Like I said, I'm just not going there.

Yet the disciples did....

"Christians" are some of the biggest retards on the planet.

Wow brother, thats quite a statement. Dont think I'd say that about Gods people. People are insensitive, yes, but we have to be careful about what we say.

I agree. God is the final judge; we can look at the external evidence, and get a good idea, but only God (not man) determines final destiny.

I really don't think it's a stretch. Nothing like a person who hides behind their religion. Some of the worst gossipers and hateful people I know claim to be Christian. I know contractors who have the cross on their work truck and are some of the greediest most dishonest ones. My soon to be ex wears her fake religion around and displays whenever she gets the chance. I'm pretty sour on the modern representation of "Christians". Not that I don't know some authentic ones who actually display the fruits of the spirit.

Claiming to be a Christian and actually being a Christian are two different things.

Why are we so loathe to face the facts? Is there any evidence that Ali ever made a profession of faith in Christ? In the absence of such God prescribes one and only one possible outcome.

An eternity apart from Christ is a terrible outcome for even the worst of men. Ali did a lot of good but alas it is only the righteousness of Christ that is acceptable to the Father in heaven.

For the cause of Christ

How come whenever a celebrity dies Christians feel the need to try and guess where that person ended up? Does it really matter? 1000's of people die daily, yet their souls are not discussed. Kind of sad that Christians place more emphasis on the death of a celebrity than the deaths of all those others suffering. And that they have nothing better to do than argue over whether the celebrity went to heaven or not.
Bottom line is it's not our business. It's between God at that person and we should spend less time speculating over dead celebrities and more time doing good for the living.

About 60% of the population would check the Christian box on a census form. Not sure that the word has a whole lot of meaning to be honest.

Actually Sirk it's those who have not accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior that you speak of.

Matthew 7:21-23
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many [n]miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’

We have false Christians among us today.

Now i have to ask Sirk, since you believe all Christians are retards, have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior or are you one of those who have rejected Jesus?

I didnt say all. And my decision is personal in nature and do not feel that I owe you an answer.

But you do owe God an answer. Be careful on who you speak against for you may find yourself fighting God.
