I AM the Elect of God!
All those who have accepted Jesus as their Savior ARE the Elect of God!
Those who have rejected Jesus are not the Elect.
Its clear as day and night.
They are the ones God foreknows will be with Him in eternity.. As in Christians who will hold onto the faith unto their deaths..
A belated welcome to CC.........but, first time I remember seeing you post......

Mat 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Mat 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
Mat 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Mat 7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Mat 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
2Ti 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Ti 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Many people claim Jesus as Lord and Savior, but the elect are those led of the Spirit, which you will know them by their fruits, for they will act like Christ, and not worldly.
Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.
Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Gal 5:17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Gal 5:18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Gal 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Gal 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
The people that are led of the Spirit, not wanting to sin,and departing from all appearance of evil, but to represent goodness, and righteousness, are the elect.
Determining the elect has to do with which dispensation you're dealing with. God's elect in the OT was the nation of Israel. He elected or chose that nation to bring for the Messiah. They were not automatically elected for salvation. Jesus Christ is the elect of God unto salvation. Election means simply the choosing for a specific purpose.
Isaiah 42:1, Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
Under the New Testament, in order to be God's elect, one has to get into Jesus Christ, God's elect. And the way into God's elect Jesus Christ is through the gospel of the death, burial and resurrection for sins. Jesus Christ is the way God elected to bring about salvation. To be part of God's salvation, we need to be part of God's elect, Jesus Christ.
Take it to Him brother, ask him, LOL it's His elect after all. why ask those who may not be, I count myself in there, not saying I am and not saying I am not but why should you ask those who if they are will not boast about it. Go to Jesus brother and ask Him.
Here are the links to a couple of Sites that discuss this.......
I am not promoting either opinion........simply F.Y.I.
Matthew 24:24 Commentaries: "For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.
Matthew 24:24 - "For false Christs... - Verse-by-Verse Commentary
That is an interesting Chapter from the Book of Isaiah
Isaiah
42
1 .) Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
2 .) He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.
3 .) A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.
4 .) He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.
5 .) Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:
6 .) I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
7 .) To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
8 .) I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
9 .) Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.
10 .) Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.
11 .) Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.
12 .) Let them give glory unto the LORD, and declare his praise in the islands.
13 .) The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies.
14 .) I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.
15 .) I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools.
16 .) And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.
17 .) They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.
18 .) Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see.
19 .) Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the LORD's servant?
20 .) Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.
21 .) The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.
22 .) But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore.
23 .) Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come?
24 .) Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the LORD, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law.
25 .) Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart.
