Who are the "very Elect of God"?

Belief is a vague word, to me. I believe the Eagles will win the Super Bowl almost every August, but it's not the truth.

I believe I should be kinder, but not enough to be kinder all the time.

I believe eating right makes bodies work better, but not enough to eat right.

God elects us, and in doing so he then fits us into the role he gave us. Much of it is him changing us. Some of it is us trusting enough to follow. If we persevere, (which he also works in us), then we are being sanctified to prepare us for glorification. And glorification is just that -- preparing to glorify God eternally.

Are we agreeing here? (Like I said. Belief is vague for me, so I really don't know. lol)

Only one is worthy, God's elect Jesus Christ. One must get "in Christ" to become elect. How does one get "in Christ"? Through the death, burial and resurrection for sins. Jesus Christ is God's elected way to bring about salvation.

Believing, trusting enough to follow or persevering (as you said)....all means that we have to cooperate, right?

Believing is by Faith and by Faith we believe Jesus is the Son of God and IS God!

Now the question is,"where did we receive this Faith from"?

We were Predestined by God to receive Faith from God to believe in His Son Jesus and receive our Salvation from Him.

In other words we were chosen by God to be the Elect of God. Which means God chose us first, we did not go looking for God, He came looking for us.

And it also doesn't make sense. Sort of like saying Clinton is President because she elected herself through repenting and obeying the law.

The Lord casts the vote and there are people who do repent of their sin.

One group of people try hard to obey the Lord's commandments. Another group thinks of a thousand reasons not to obey. I would say the elect are those who try hard to obey.
 
Many, Think that every person: Converts and sinners will stand before God in the Great White Throne Judgement ( Revelation 20 Verse 10). Only the lost stand before God...The Saints, The Elect, those who put full trust in God will be in heaven...Psalms 1 verse 5 "Therefore the UNGODLY SHALL NOT STAND IN THE JUDGEMENT, NOR SINNERS IN THE CONGREGATION OF THE RIGHTEOUS".
