Why are so many women attracted to jerks?

That was me,I always went out with the jerks,except one.

It's probably similar to the same reasons why so many men fall for women with hourglass bodies and long flowing hair while ignoring the perfectly faithful good Christian girls with glasses, a few extra pounds, and are shyly hiding behind a book.

(Just for the record, I'm not someone who falls for jerks. Anymore.)

Maybe us nice guys should put our big boy pants on and pursue a woman in faith, that God is with us as we go forth and trust in Him

Reason why I am single is because I lie and say I want to be married, but in really I do like to be single - I don't pursue, so what do I expect, a girl to magically appear?

I absolutely love the honesty of this post.

Thank you for being so transparent, Creation!!!

I think all of us can admit to a point that our singleness is, in some ways, our own doing. Not that we don't want to change it but taking responsibility for one's own choices and actions is a highly attractive quality.

Yeah - this reality was pretty much crushing to me, it's of my own choosing really - God was always willing, but He wants me to walk by faith and trust - a lot of us are not willing to do that.

I'm gonna go there and say, other than if the guy has financial stability and/or is super cute, it is the desire for girls to "fix" a guy. It's sort of a weird backwards maternal thing.

I think because they make themselves known more than the gentleman. Not to say that's a bad thing, the gentleman obviously more humble.
 
Also possibly because of the 'chase' mentality society seems to have- people always seem to want whatever they cant have or is hard to get.
I do not understand this at all.
A God Fearing man - however shy or 'nice' is invaluable in today's fallen world, and there are many! Woman waiting to find her soul mate in one just like that.. (myself included)
so do not give up, She will be interested in you- God willing :)
 
Before I had a certain attraction for the "jerk" type and little for the "nice one" , but now it's more for that Godly type. Something about that man who is at church raising his hand to the Lord ..closing his eyes and giving him glory that is very alluring....

You hit the nail on its head, Kim. We have to be responsible for the choices we make. I also suffer from what creationtutor also shared. There are times when I wish I was in a relationship and there are other times when I am happy to be single. Perhaps I should sort this out before putting myself out there.
