An eternity in darkness, seperated from God. Knowing you have no one ot blame but yourself.

The Second Death is in fact eternal separation from God in the Lake of Fire. But in the case of Christ -- the God-Man -- those three dark hours were equivalent to an eternity in Hell. And that is why no believer has to face Hell. Salvation includes being saved from Hell (the Lake of Fire) because Christ already paid that price.

Didn’t he basically just enter into death victorious because he had no sin and like a home invasion just enter in and whip the one on charge and take his keys and authority over death and he’ll though ?
If jesus entered into hell it was just to wreck the place and free the captives and take the authority

I disagree that that stuff is just "fodder". It all matters a lot. Just that the gospel matters a whole lot more.

1st death = physical
2nd death = separation from His Father
Is that what you mean by the second death?
Perhaps I could have used a better word - but, the "useless" connotation is not what I meant. I was merely referring to the "raw material" or "conversation starter [ideas]" for discussion(s). Certainly worthwhile topics for discussion(s).

And that penalty included the first and second deaths, as well as all the sufferings of Christ. Perfect divine justice demanded that the full price for the "sin" (singular) of the world be paid. And that is why Christ had to pay the full penalty in order to take away the "sin" of the world. It is only after the penalty was paid in full that God could offer His grace and mercy to every sinner. Only only God as the Man Christ Jesus could accomplish this on the cross, since He Himself was "holy, harmless, undefiled, and separate from sinners".
Now because Christ paid the full penalty, He was victorious over (a) sin, (b) death, (c) Satan, (d) Hades, and (e) Hell. That is why He has the keys of Death and Hades. He destroyed the power of sin and death through His own perfect sacrifice and His glorious resurrection. He also broke down the gates of Hades (not Hell) when He took "captivity captive" and took all the OT saints from Hades to Heaven after His resurrection.
