Ok. So the punishment is in the separation?
There is a barrier between god and man. Christ made it possible to remove that barrier. If it is not removed that barrier will last forever

Spiritual death is separation from God yea

So what is it about eternal separation that makes it feel like punishment?

The penalty if sin is death. We know it is not physical death or Adam would have died physically when he sinned and we would be born physically dead instead of spiritually dead physical death is. Result of sin not the penalty.
This is just gobbledegook. So kindly go back to the OP and read, study, and meditate on Isaiah 53. Don't inject humanistic reasoning into this.

An eternity in darkness, seperated from God. Knowing you have no one ot blame but yourself.

what else would that feel like?

You have failed to fully read and comprehend Isaiah 53. The TOTALITY of the sacrifice of Christ included physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual suffering. The penalty of the Second Death was also included in that. And let us all bear in mind that in the end we cannot fully comprehend what actually transpired on the cross. Only God the Father knows precisely what His Son endured for our salvation.
Are you saying Jesus also died the second death?-:oops:

“And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭1:17-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

life as a man , death as a man , life forever as the first and last

Jesus suffered the agonies of the Second Death during the time that He was forsaken on the cross by the Father. Therefore we read: And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour. And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? (Mark 15:33,34)

The Second Death is in fact eternal separation from God in the Lake of Fire. But in the case of Christ -- the God-Man -- those three dark hours were equivalent to an eternity in Hell. And that is why no believer has to face Hell. Salvation includes being saved from Hell (the Lake of Fire) because Christ already paid that price.

Whoever drinks will never thirst again
Whoever eats, never hunger again

amen amen
“And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”

Didn’t he basically just enter into death victorious because he had no sin and like a home invasion just enter in and whip the one on charge and take his keys and authority over death and he’ll though ?

If jesus entered into hell it was just to wreck the place and free the captives and take the authority

Well, it really is far more important than any/all of that other stuff - which is mainly just fodder for discussion...
I disagree that that stuff is just "fodder". It all matters a lot. Just that the gospel matters a whole lot more.

Okay so:

1st death = physical
2nd death = separation from His Father

Is that what you mean by the second death?

Perhaps I could have used a better word - but, the "useless" connotation is not what I meant. I was merely referring to the "raw material" or "conversation starter [ideas]" for discussion(s). Certainly worthwhile topics for discussion(s).
Didn’t he basically just enter into death victorious because he had no sin and like a home invasion just enter in and whip the one on charge and take his keys and authority over death and he’ll though ?
We seem to be forgetting that Christ was the SUBSTITUTE for all of sinful mankind, therefore He had to pay the full penalty for the sins of the whole world. And that penalty included the first and second deaths, as well as all the sufferings of Christ. Perfect divine justice demanded that the full price for the "sin" (singular) of the world be paid. And that is why Christ had to pay the full penalty in order to take away the "sin" of the world. It is only after the penalty was paid in full that God could offer His grace and mercy to every sinner. Only only God as the Man Christ Jesus could accomplish this on the cross, since He Himself was "holy, harmless, undefiled, and separate from sinners".

Now because Christ paid the full penalty, He was victorious over (a) sin, (b) death, (c) Satan, (d) Hades, and (e) Hell. That is why He has the keys of Death and Hades. He destroyed the power of sin and death through His own perfect sacrifice and His glorious resurrection. He also broke down the gates of Hades (not Hell) when He took "captivity captive" and took all the OT saints from Hades to Heaven after His resurrection.

It costed God through Jesus to have to become a man and then die a horrific death. It costed many who came before us their lives. It cost many around the world their lives. You are and will be persecuted.
While the gift of God is free, babylon will make you pay.

Do we really think that is all?

There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth

Outer darkness
Ok. So I asked all those questions to come to this question:

If eternal judgement for the unsaved includes torment, did Jesus pay on the cross for the ones He saved this eternal weeping and gnashing of teeth?
