And, fair enough to say what you said, but I would just be careful not to jinx yourself with God, He is over all, He is all and all and His annointeds ARE out there, regardless of what you might THINK Joyce Meyers is , she HAS led many, many, many to Christ, as a pure vessel for Him. I've personally only heard JM a time or two but she really did seem down to earth and spoke a good sermon on whatever she said. Again, our not liking a particular preacher's doctrine is NO grounds to say they are of the Devil . Right?
And, one more thing, I am Lord-led and so are you, right? And, just from a humanistic perspective, I believe you say your says very well on c.c., milady . i don't agree with this particular topic but , HEY!, I am sure there is something out there we both agree on, but, maybe not, maybe our doctrine is so much different we can;'t . But, again, GOOD NEWS!, I know we both believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour and that is the foundation that we are to build on. But we both have that foundation and that sends us BOTH to Heaven
I don't consider quoting scripture a "jinx". The scripture has said in several places our rolls as women. one said that the older women are to teach the younger women to love their children and serve their husbands. Proverbs 31 tells us how to run our house so that we wouldn't shame our husbands. Women do have a ministry but it isn't the ministry that GOD set up for man. It's our own, set aside from mans.
JM has all her money and she rules over her employers with an iron fist using the bible to do so. Just ask Chris Coleman if you can arrange a visitor pass in the prison he's in.
And in my opinion she hasn't brought many many people to Christ. Because I believe in the death burial and resurrection for a believer. Death being our repentance to our sins, turning away from our sin a toward GOD. Burial... we die to this sinful nature in our burial with JESUS through water baptism in JESUS name, the ONLY name that saves us from sin, the name above all names. The resurrection when we are filled with the HOLY SPIRIT with evidence of speaking in tongues. (expects major backlash for saying that in cc) This right here is the beginning of salvation.
Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Act 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
JM doesn't preach that, so i don't support her!!!!

so I'm to be accepting of everyone who claims to be a christian..... no way. By their fruits you shall know them. I wont be buddy buddy with everyone who says they are christian. I will be nice, please and thank yous, but I wont follow anyone who says they are christian or believe anything they say because they claim this. That's not being judgmental, its called guarding my soul. And I esp wont follow a woman who is behind the pulpit going against scripture.

Some of these charges like the jet I can understand, but others seem to be cases of excess. I wonder if JM has responded to this information? If this information is correct I'll admit that is not a good image for a minister to project, and she may have a fault with opulence that God may be or will eventually convict her to do something about. We also don't know her tax records and how much of their salary may be put back into charities, which I hope would be very substantial. I'll let God judge her on that and if she has been or is being greedy, I believe God will make that clear to her. But God has always used people to do his good work, and all of those people except Christ while on earth have had their faults. I do believe JM has a gift to preach the gospel, and her sermons are very much based in scripture and delivered in a way that reaches people. She does preach on the importance of helping the poor and oppressed, which is a very strong theme taught by Christ in the New Testament, and if Joyce isn't doing that in her personal life, she will be judged for that and it will likely hurt her ministry. I agree that there have been tv ministers who take advantage of people thru donations, and some started out with good intentions but became greedy as their ministries grew. The truth eventually came out and their ministries collapsed, and if that's the case with JM, her ministry may also eventually suffer. I hope that's not the case because I believe in the past and at the current time she is doing a lot of good work for the Lord. I hope and pray her personal life reflects Christ's teachings for the future of her soul and her ministry.
Preachers are NOT needed. Since God's spirit empowered folk to write His Word we need only that.
It's all there.
Those stuck in their homes have time to read their Bible every day. That's all it needs.
You don't need men (or women) to tell you God's Word. People just got lazy and wanted someone else to think for them. OK this goes back to the early church which at some point decided the laity should not be allowed to read the Bible so they could not get the wisdom from God's Word without paying the Church to teach it to them...
Sure, it's nice to hear the opinions of others - but their are books discussing the Bible too and they are generally not written by the tv evangelist types (can the like of Hinn even write his name without it being to accept donations?).
But the thing is - no pastor is required.
And, to be honest, if you're stuck at home and your local church minister can't come out to you he should be removed from that position anyway - what's the point of having a lazy, non-caring minister? He's not behaving like a Christian so why would one listen for Christian wisdom from him?

They did a show on his case on one of the news shows, and apparently he killed his wife and kids to eliminate them so he could be with a woman he was having an affair with. He worked for Joyce Meyer ministries in security and had a scheme so it would look like somebody who hated JM was responsible for the murders. But he made so many mistakes that it was an easy case for the prosecutor to prove that he did it. This was one of the most dispicable crimes I've ever heard of.

Much of what you say is true, but our preacher can take a verse that either doesn't make sense to me or is confusing, relate it to the times, the Greek meaning of a word or two in the Bible verse, or how it relates to another Bible verse, and what was confusing to me then makes perfect sense and God's truth comes thru. So to me there is great value in a minister that has the gift of interpreting parts of scripture and the gift of teaching it in a way that makes sense to the congregation so that God's truth comes thru.

The Lord leads, but He leads us into fellowship with other Christians, some of which KNOW MORE than you beacause why? Because they've been given more 'faith' measure, they know more, now, this I can't fully explain to you but that is the truth
Do whatever the Lord intends for you, and, yes, for some, church is not much in the cards, it IS a personal relationship with Jesus that matters most, but YOU DO want to be in a church that is producing good fruit for your life otherwise your faith will not be grown by God

Anyhoo, I have just been having tough conversation with you and sorry that you are being offended by the truth, but, I can't allow people to say that Joyce Meyers is teaching falsely without letting them know her statement of faith. I think, no offense intended, you are just, for some reason, taking the whole women as church leaders thing, too far, (way toooo far) and, there is nothing wrong with your view as far as salvation goes on women preachers not allowed to ever teach or have authority to men, and, mine either. Sorry, if it doesn't make sense but we HAVE the same foundation in the ultimate authority who is Christ, our head, and, without Him leading us, the church is irrrelevant, faith is irrelevant, and, yeah, we are not doing things His way and so, even to Him, IF we do not have His grace of our life (and mercy) accepted as His Spirit leads us, then, what kind of faith in Him do we have. What kind of belief ? So, OK, then, I have never been told by someone I am put on 'ignore,' first for everything , and, I am sorry we cannot just have a conversation, jinx, about God things and have it turn into you thinking I am attacking you, even to the point of can't fart. Hey, this is spiritual warfare we are in and so..... the Enemy will attack you, I think He is right now. Again, not accusing you of anything wrong, we are just in a chat room and we are talking about issues of doctrine which don't we both know has more controversies of its nuances than a short-haired cat has hairs

That's why GOD gave us preachers and teachers, to do just that. If a person willingly stays home, away from church, from others of the same great like faith, they can grow weak in spirit. We need that fellowship.

I'm not naive. I'm not under any mans thumb. I'm not blindly following any man. I'm not under duress waiting for someone to save me from the evil clutches of mans "traditions". I think you have the wrong idea about me.
I study my bible just like everyone else. I look up words and traditions just like everyone else. And I find in the bible that their is scripture saying how a woman should be, so I follow it.
GOD wont allow anything in HIS HOLY word even if it came out of Paul's mouth (which I call anointing not opinion) and it was said not for a woman to be over man. I'm cool with that.

He made the choice to commit adultery. It's not unusual for religious based organizations to frown on affairs that can put your job at risk. He knew the conditions of his employment and he could have run off with the Florida woman and faced the risk of losing his job, but instead he killed his wife and two young sons. He did have a choice and made a horrible one, and because of it 3 innocent people are dead. There's no one to blame but himself.
