No, I don't hate everything you say, I try to come at it from a Love angle, everything you say, Love, not always probably right but, hey, I'm not perfect I am forgiven by the precious blood of the Lamb. And, good news ! So are you, jinx![]()
And, fair enough to say what you said, but I would just be careful not to jinx yourself with God, He is over all, He is all and all and His annointeds ARE out there, regardless of what you might THINK Joyce Meyers is , she HAS led many, many, many to Christ, as a pure vessel for Him. I've personally only heard JM a time or two but she really did seem down to earth and spoke a good sermon on whatever she said. Again, our not liking a particular preacher's doctrine is NO grounds to say they are of the Devil . Right?
And, one more thing, I am Lord-led and so are you, right? And, just from a humanistic perspective, I believe you say your says very well on c.c., milady . i don't agree with this particular topic but , HEY!, I am sure there is something out there we both agree on, but, maybe not, maybe our doctrine is so much different we can;'t . But, again, GOOD NEWS!, I know we both believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour and that is the foundation that we are to build on. But we both have that foundation and that sends us BOTH to HeavenFollowing Him

What We Believe
Statement of Faith
The Bible is the infallible Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and contains every answer to man's problems.
2 Timothy 3:16,17; 2 Peter 1:20,21
There is one God, existing eternally in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
John 10:30; John 14:26; Philippians 2:5-7
God is Love and He loves all people. It is His desire to reach out to those who are poor, oppressed, widowed or orphaned, and to heal the brokenhearted.
Psalm 68:5,6; 1 John 4:16
Man is created in the image of God but separated from God by sin. Without Jesus we cannot have a relationship with God.
Genesis 1:26; 1 Timothy 2:5
We can have a personal relationship with God through salvation, God's free gift to man. It is not a result of what we do, but it is only available through God's unearned favor. By admitting we have sinned and believing in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, and accepting Him as Lord, we can spend eternity with God.
Ephesians 2:8,9; Romans 5:1; Romans 3:24
We believe in water baptism, as taught and demonstrated by Jesus, as the way for believers to identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.
Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Matthew 3:13-17
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a gift from God. He helps empower the believer to develop the character of Christ and live every day in God's will.
Matthew 3:11; Acts 2:4
God gives all believers spiritual gifts. They are for the strengthening of God's people (the Church) and proof of God's existence and power to unbelievers. The gifts of the Spirit are active and relevant today.
1 Corinthians 12:4-11; 1 Peter 4:10
Sanctification is the ongoing process of allowing God's character to be developed in us.
Romans 6:19; Galatians 5:22-25
Divine healing is active in the lives of people today through Jesus, who is the Healer. Healing includes physical, mental, emotional and spiritual restoration.
Luke 9:11; Matthew 9:35; Acts 10:38; Matthew 10:1
The Bible describes hell as a real place. It is a place of suffering and a place of permanent separation from God for those who die without accepting Christ. God's desire is that no one be separated from Him for eternity, which is why He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to earth.
Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 20:12-15; John 3:16-18
Jesus will return and take all those who have accepted Him as Savior to be with Him for eternity.
Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; Hebrews 9:28
I said 'jinX,' milady, because....
you are endangering yourself with the Enemy who LOVES it when we put down other Christians , that is, those who accepted Christ as their personal saviour, and, SaviourThat FOUNDATION is the same, and, though I clash heads with ohzone, abiding, eg, crossnoted, and, a few others, like tribers on c.c. , from disagreement of DOCTRINE, I still do not JUDGE them , and, sounds to me like you are judging JOYCE MEYERS to a place other than with Him when she dies. Such hellish though is ghoulish in nature, for those who have the foundation of Christ we build our lives on, stand on, WE are to build each other up, encourage each others work (watering, planting, etc. as Paul.states ALL this in 1 Cor. 3
) Now, please read Joyce Meyers statement of faith and you will see she, INDEED, believes in Acts 2:38....
"A number of her church’s expenditures have been made to purchase several homes for Meyer and her family. The church also pays for all of the utilities, landscaping and routine maintenance of the properties."
"Meyer and her husband live in a huge home, costing an estimated $2 million. The property includes an opulent fountain, private golf course, swimming pool, poolhouse, and an air-conditioned garage. Meyer has stated that she does not have the time to take care of the maintenance of the property due to her busy schedule."
"Joyce and Dave Meyer have also purchased a number of items that are currently held in a trust to guard against financial problems within their ministry. Included in these purchases are a lakefront home costing an estimated half-million, a $100,000 Mercedes, and a home for Joyce’s parents."
1) Her and her husband are paid $1.3 Million a year.
2)Her salary is set by the Board of directors who are her friends and family members.
3)Her ministry is a 501c3 and is exempt from paying taxes.
4) She owns a $10 millon Jet to make travel less of a pain.
5) Her ministry complex building is 148,000 square feet and furnished with a $30K malachite table, $23K marble topped antique toilet, apair of Dreseden vase for $19K, six more vases for $18,5000, a $49K conference room table and furnished the complex for a mere $5.7 Million.
When she asks you to send in your donation for starving children in Africa, know that some of your money might reach them!!
Preachers are NOT needed. Since God's spirit empowered folk to write His Word we need only that.I prefer my own pastors preaching. I can view the way he lives, see if he walks the talk, and the preaching is more personal. TV preachers are in it for the business and the business is $$$. And I do feel sorry for those who are stuck in their homes and they have no other way to get their preaching but by the tv.
I don't want to argue with you, but you do know Chris Coleman killed his wife and children? I'm not a JM fan either, I honestly don't watch or know much about her. But this guy was bad news. God Bless
Preachers are NOT needed. Since God's spirit empowered folk to write His Word we need only that.
It's all there.
Those stuck in their homes have time to read their Bible every day. That's all it needs.
You don't need men (or women) to tell you God's Word. People just got lazy and wanted someone else to think for them. OK this goes back to the early church which at some point decided the laity should not be allowed to read the Bible so they could not get the wisdom from God's Word without paying the Church to teach it to them...
Sure, it's nice to hear the opinions of others - but their are books discussing the Bible too and they are generally not written by the tv evangelist types (can the like of Hinn even write his name without it being to accept donations?).
But the thing is - no pastor is required.
And, to be honest, if you're stuck at home and your local church minister can't come out to you he should be removed from that position anyway - what's the point of having a lazy, non-caring minister? He's not behaving like a Christian so why would one listen for Christian wisdom from him?
The Lord leads, but He leads us into fellowship with other Christians, some of which KNOW MORE than you beacause why? Because they've been given more 'faith' measure, they know more, now, this I can't fully explain to you but that is the truthPreachers are NOT needed. Since God's spirit empowered folk to write His Word we need only that.

They did a show on his case on one of the news shows, and apparently he killed his wife and kids to eliminate them so he could be with a woman he was having an affair with. He worked for Joyce Meyer ministries in security and had a scheme so it would look like somebody who hated JM was responsible for the murders. But he made so many mistakes that it was an easy case for the prosecutor to prove that he did it. This was one of the most dispicable crimes I've ever heard of.

Much of what you say is true, but our preacher can take a verse that either doesn't make sense to me or is confusing, relate it to the times, the Greek meaning of a word or two in the Bible verse, or how it relates to another Bible verse, and what was confusing to me then makes perfect sense and God's truth comes thru. So to me there is great value in a minister that has the gift of interpreting parts of scripture and the gift of teaching it in a way that makes sense to the congregation so that God's truth comes thru.
again, this is talking about salvation, not leadership.
he wanted to run off with this florida woman, but he couldn't because if you work for JM and you an affair in your marriage, you can get fired.
so I'm to be accepting of everyone who claims to be a christian..... no way. By their fruits you shall know them. I wont be buddy buddy with everyone who says they are christian. I will be nice, please and thank yous, but I wont follow anyone who says they are christian or believe anything they say because they claim this. That's not being judgmental, its called guarding my soul. And I esp wont follow a woman who is behind the pulpit going against scripture.
anything else you want to call me for my opinions? so far you said I would get jinxed, that I'm judgmental, I just can't please you can I?????
I'm tired of this conversation with you. All we have done is went around in circles and its nuts!
