Well as far as I've seen moose are very well adapted... and pandas are usually more placid than persnickety. I think alliterations must give way before the nature of the creatures being referenced.

Mouse (noun; excessively timid and shy)
Pig (noun; either greedy with food or given to unrestrained words/behaviour)
Snake (noun: sneaky, conniving)
Crow (verb; continually rattle on about any unpopular subject)
Rat (verb; expose bad behaviour to higher authority)
Horse (noun; strong or has great stamina for hard work)
Bear (noun; dangerously unpleasant when angry)
Donkey (aka jackass; noun; careless about insulting others or causing trouble for the sake of it)
Bull (noun; careless and reckless to the point of causing damage)

There are many others, of course, some of which I won't put in print. Most that I considered are negative.

...
Mole (noun; deeply-placed spy or double agent)
Badger (verb; repeatedly address someone regarding a particular topic)
Weasel (verb or noun; avoid responsibility)
Gopher (noun; general errand boy)
Sheep(ish) (adjective; lacking sense and foresight)
Ram (verb; force an opinion or choice)
Toad (noun; someone with unattractive appearance or habits)
Lizard (noun; man of low moral character)

Again, mostly negative. Few animals have a good reputation, apparently.

Hungry as a bear
Bear hug
Sitting duck
Monkey business
Early bird
Bloodhound
Eagle eye
Bookworm
The bookworm is an actual thing. When I lived in the country I had several books borrowed into by tiny worm like creatures who dug a perfectly round hole in the books.

Hmmmmmm....
I think gentle as a dove is a nice one. Eat like a bird is one I could think of... Strong as a lion, swift as an eagle....quiet as a mouse is another...

I WISH I had my dog's life, with free food and nothing to do except bark at stuff all day.)
Are you sure about that. Dogs are always hungry and they do not live very long, and their owners naturally keep them away from partners. They always fight each other. I wouldnt like to be a dog or any animal, i am glad to be human.

Humans always fight each other too. At least with a dog you can pop him on the nose and make him straighten up. And I'm single, so it wouldn't matter to me if I was a dog and my owner kept me away from a partner.

As for the longevity matter... Who wants to live forever? :p
