Your biggest struggle.

They used to make these nifty little gadgets with a tee handle that would clam onto the lid. Oops, is my age showing? Better cover up.

Those little rubber grippy type thingamajigs with the nubblies. You know what I mean.

I now pronounce you, flexible jar opener and wife. Sounds a little weird.
 
I think Jullianna was looking more for something along the lines of, "I promise to love, honor, cherish, and open all your sticky jar lids 'til death do us part.
 
My biggest struggle is trust. I am thinking over every word that I put down on this reply to see how much of myself I am revealing. How much do people really know about me? Not much! I don't open up online or offline. Can you get close to me? Doubtful!! You make so many mistakes in your eyes and over time you no longer trust yourself. Am I going to make the wrong decision to cause myself more hurt? Am I trusting the wrong person? If you know too much about me what will you do with that information? Will you use it against me? Fear is not of God, yet, I can't seem to get rid of it. I open myself up with the hope of believing in people and when I realize how unfounded my trust was, then I build a bigger wall around me. Can you get past it?
 
Chrissy, it sounds like, more then anything, you need a lot of healing in your heart. A lot of us understand the struggles with trusting others. Some of us have grown up in abuse, others have been taken advantages by those they gave their heart too. Things like that tend to make you more cautious and less trusting of others. It takes time to heal when you have wounds that are very deep.

I don't think any husband would object to that being one of their vows. If all I had to do to fulfill my future wife's (if I ever have one) desires would be to open jars and tricky packages for her, then ladies, I am your dream come true. Brad Pitt? George Clooney? Johnny Depp? Colin Farrell? Move aside posers. You stand no chance!

I think I'm actually going to add the sticky jar lids part to my real vows, whenever I get married. That's just too good to pass up. It's going in there for sure.

At the very least, I'm using that in my best man speech for whenever a friend ties the knot.

... you stated my biggest struggle so clearly that all I can say is... ditto (& well phrased). I'm glad that the small voice with the big lies is no match for the truth - and when I seek him all I hear is the truth and the lies start to vanish. But... it still sneaks back in there from time to time :o
 
Definitely my biggest 'struggle' would be...chocolate!

I absolutely love it, once I taste it I can't stop until the box/bar is finished...:D

^^It's already gone, I stumbled across it the other day right behind the testimonies forum and as your misfortune would have it my sweet tooth was in overdrive.
 
As a single mom I struggle with being alone. Sometimes it can be a scary dark place. It's hard to stay focused and be patient in waiting on God's plan.
 
As I single guy I struggle with the baggage of past relationships/girlfriends. I fear that the next girl will only add another stab wound to my back. Why don't people try to understand that the hurtful things they do have a lasting effect on the person they hurt? Some people's job in life is to spread bitterness like it's a virus....

Viola, I completely agree with you on that. Every time I think my heart has been healed it seems I grab a hold of it once more. I don't want it, yet I seem to hold on to it.
