What are you talking about Tintin ... Someone right here at CC was talking about lifting veils and kissing Jesus, how am I " sharing " anything... I'm telling you it's disturbing to read this type of stuff as Blain was just talking about being in a wedding dress...
Oops, sorry. Good point. That's a brain fart on my account.

First, as I have said so many times, this is the BIBLE Discussion Forum. Another OP which is without any discussion of the Bible.

And please re-read the OP!!

Would the author have had a "huge war" about whether to write this if he had not known it would create an undesirable response?

He mentions wrong eschatology, takes a beautiful Biblical metaphor and destroys it in a self obsessed post. Then he back pedals, saying basically that he never meant it for "real" and sheesh, how could we think that?!

Perhaps because I read it after Blain's declaration in the Misc forum that he was so good at dirty stories, he could have written porn for a living! Sorry these sorts of things stick in my mind, and really came together with this explicit post!

I was very popular in high school because I can make up a story from the top of my head with ease and everyone loved me because back then I would make up the sexiest dirty and sometimes even the most disgusting sexual stories. Heck if I wanted to I could made big bucks writing porn stories if I wanted to[QUOTE]

http://christianchat.com/miscellaneous/103179-how-does-god-use-your-natural-talents.html

Seriously people, desist with this cult of personality and this pseudo-love gospel! Read what is written!

This is not scriptural, it degrades the message and text of the Bible, and the church as the Bride of Christ!
Do you realize how messed up what you just did was? I was being honest about my past, I was and always will be greatly ashamed of it but it has nothing to do with me anymore and if that influences how you see me or how you interpret my posts then I am sorry but that is just messed up. You have no right to be attacking me like this, I don't go around flipping out about what you do or about how you choose to post. This is the second time you have acted in this way towards me and both times I did nothing to deserve to it. You my friend need to seek more love in Christ because what you are doing is very unkind

Angela, that was Blain's life before Christ made him anew. Yes, there's some confusion and incorrect theology here and I think it would do him well to study the Bible more and gather with other Christians in person, but just like you and me he's a constant work in progress and he's willing to learn. I fully believe that Blain is genuine in His love for Christ.

Blain, don't be mad, she said what was on her heart to say, I was kind of angry when you related Jesus to crack cocaine, I said nothing, also your signature about " your dark side " leaves one to assume your still writing these types of things..

I realize this was prior to becoming a Christian. And in Misc. It was a good post!

This was NOT a good post! Incorrect theology is based on a poor knowledge of the Bible! This is the Bible Discussion forum, not the "how to use the bible as a spring board for your personal fantasies and poor theology" forum.

Esp. Coming on the heels of his testimony. Fact is, at 22 he has only been out of high school 4 years, and according to other testimonies, saved for two years. If he really was spinning out porno tales to his friends, he might have been addicted to porn. And porn needs accountability to break the habit! Porn is an epidemic in the western world.

My prayer is that Blain, a new Christian, will start to listen to those who give good advice, rather than just those who compliment him and give him a swelled head! That way he won't accuse every person who points out what a WRONG post this is, of lacking love. As a trained pastor, I can assure you we are not to swallow every gullible post, and sometimes that means it is necessary to be a voice for reason, good theology, and sound biblical doctrine.

I would drop it.
Unless you are seeking reconciliation, continuing in this would certainly be a sin.
If you have an issue with this brother on a personal basis, confront them personally.

Let love reign. "Truth in love" does not mean, "if I say what I am sure is true, then it is actually a form of love".

Edify and correct when needed, but don't go so far.

[h=1]Matthew 22 King James Version (KJV)[/h] 22 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,
[SUP]2 [/SUP]The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
[SUP]3 [/SUP]And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:
[SUP]6 [/SUP]And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

[SUP]11 [/SUP]And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
[SUP]12 [/SUP]And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]For many are called, but few are chosen.

Angela, I'm not against bringing correction. I've corrected people at times (in love, Blain included) and have been corrected by others in my time here at CC. That's an important part of growing in Christ. It's important in helping us to discern the godly from nonsense (dangerous or no). You know that, I know that. We need to be teachable.

And in what seminary. What religion did they teach you to use someone's past sins against them? Especially when it was Christ who said He was the Bridegroom and that we are the Bride. When God revealed that the great feast of Heaven is a wedding feast. While individually we are not the Bride of Christ, that does not make out collective "marriage" to Christ irrelevant or a fantastical hope to wish for.

I have read many of Blains threads, post, and testimonial. I see Blain as one of the top three CC members that have the Holy Spirit saturating there life with there post. Everyone make mistakes. If Blain made a mistake in quoting scripture, that means nothing. For his heart is in the right place. And God is with him.

I can easily see how EPHESIANS 6:12 comes into play here.
A little further stretch. Blain was checking out a forum that had all kinds of believers, cults, etc. His calling to go there was to share the love of Christ. This place is a war zone from what Blain and another CC member said.

The possibility's are that with Blain stepping into the enemy's camp. He may be engaged in some spiritual warfare now.
It could be that some CC members just have a very ugly heart. They then push there ugliness on to others with nasty accusations any time they can. Blains thread did start out innocent, until ugly sin was planted in it.

Agree with you here, the Lord may have showed him this for others to return......or a reminder

Actually guys, this is pretty good advice...
not just for Blain, but for ALL OF US.

We should all be willing to learn, and listen, and deal with correction.
When I say correction, I'm not talking about "opinion",
I'm talking about using the SCRIPTURE to deal with issues and doctrines.
We have quite a few people around here who are very learned in the scripture.

Blain says he's only been saved for 2 years.
When I had only been saved for 2 years, I was trying to learn the scripture,
and trying to respectfully learn from people wiser than me.
And you know what?
Now that I'm older and know more scripture, I'm STILL trying to do the SAME THINGS.
I still try to listen, and learn, from those who know more than I do.
(By the way, no matter how much I study, there are ALWAYS a lot of people who know more.)

I'm sure Blain means well, but he sometimes gets carried away and says some strange things.
I think Blain would do well, as ALL of us do,
by listening respectfully to other believers who are older "in the Lord"
and who are more studied in the scripture.

I apologize if she hurt you Blain, and thinking about it I don't want to be friends with someone that brings up their past against them, as a buzzard picking away at " the old dead you " but I don't come here to really joke and be silly either. Christ is a very serious subject to me and there is spiritual warfare that does go on, no matter where the mention of Christ is. I'm glad you admit the "God is like crack" thing was a dumb idea. I said that about your signature because it leaves you open for attack, how about a nice scripture or nice thought that you want to express ? If you keep it, it's fine by me, I take no offense... I'm just trying to help brother.

I think we should pray together.

Dear God:

We can not see the whole picture or know Your plans or will for all in the world. However, we ask for You to open our eyes to Your truth and help us to speak in a manner that glorifies you. Lord, help us to see the heart of what is posted and not just what our feeble minds mistaken as truth. Help us to forgive offense real or imagined. Let us come together to study Your Holy words and seek our answers not in man's opinion but in your Scripture through prayer and thanksgiving, Lord Help us to stand on Your truth about the forgiveness of our sins. Teach us what true intimacy is. Let us show the world that it is not about the physical connection but the spiritual love and comfort You give us. Let our words flow like living waters to give life to all who hear and read, not bitter with tears but refreshing with Your Truth. In Jesus name, we pray, Amen.

Forgot to add:

Dear Lord as you call us to minister to the lost, protect us from spiritual attacks of the enemy. Guard our tongues and hearts that we might find Strength and courage to always speak Your truth with love. Amen.

Blain might have mistakened the subforum by posting it in Bible Discussion. He had a vision, but this is rather prophecy, not teaching. It would better belong in Miscellaneous... however, it turned into mockery, even after spiritual explanation has been found in the Bible.
Blain does not reject correction, but I wish he was given a benefit of a doubt, this hurt him like anybody would be hurt in his place. And I believe sharper rebukes should be reserved for harmful, abrasive people. There are more gentle means of correction for those who are willing to listen. Like I believe Blain is.
Praying for love and edification to win in this discussion...
