Are you called to the wedding supper of the Lamb? Is what this is about. We are to be child like in our faith. Before honor
is humility.Christ gave his life for the church, i take it very serious. God is a spirit, not everything is to be looked at carnally.
Pride comes before a fall, we are to be humble and thankful for what the Lord has done. Jesus is in a robe, long one at that.
The wedding supper " isn't literal " it's spiritual way of saying, you who have overcome will partake in a feast, " like " a good wife. No one will be wearing wedding dresses, sorry if that burst your bubble, it is what it is, and I'm not being prideful, I'm just tired of hearing old women talking about being in wedding dresses and lustful thoughts of Jesus " kissing Him in the mouth and so fourth "

I see my self in a wedding dress with combat boots on. If anyone of you think anything sexual you need to be getting some help.
I would i,agine in my wildest dreasm thats what anyone whould be thinking. But to those who even ask that why would you even think it. Get a grip. So back to my dress I am the bride He is the groom lets rock jesus I understand what you mean. To the chapel. He love me and I love him Greet each other with a holy kiss. I will kiss Jesus and He will kiss me. I kiss my son whom I love. Why wouldnt I kiss my Love? This is so much higher than most appriciate. Jesus love you intimatly. I look in the mirror and except I am beautiful in His eyes. So are you who ever you are.
So you love Jesus, your going to put on a "wedding dress", kiss Him in the mouth, and make a son intimately ? I'm just not ok, with this... NO WHERE IN THE BIBLE TALKS LIKE THIS

Who would think lustful thought like that? What is wrong about talking about the marriage supper of the Lamb?Again, it is a spiritual thing, not a carnal one.

[h=1][/h] [SUP]6 [/SUP]For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

So why do you keep relating Him to a " carnal " wedding, that you kiss...and will be married to.

I know this will cause a huge war but I had to write my thoughts.
Sometimes like today I am overcome by an overwhelming desire to marry Jesus. In my heart I can see me in a wedding gown and Jesus and I have the most intimate love together.
Can't speak to any huge war going on, but, to be perfectly honest, the wedding gown thing, et al, is creeping me out a little. It's never occurred to me before that anybody would have to go in drag to the marriage supper. If possible, then, I'd like to think I could opt for a peasant garment and just be part of the crowd, or a server.

Angela, that was Blain's life before Christ made him anew. Yes, there's some confusion and incorrect theology here and I think it would do him well to study the Bible more and gather with other Christians in person, but just like you and me he's a constant work in progress and he's willing to learn. I fully believe that Blain is genuine in His love for Christ.
I agree with you. I am positive for Blaine's love for Christ is genuine his desire for a more deeper and personal relationship with the Lord.

I believe that the only one that kissed Jesus in the bible was his friend Judas as he betrayed him. It probably was not on the lips and the intention was evil in nature. I believe that the 'Bride' that is referred to are the born again believers in the 'Church'.

I also believe that the wedding feast will be an actual physical banquet. There will probably be a little bubbly for the toast too and I am not referring to grape juice.

I agree about the Bride, but the Scripture is surprising about the kiss.

Proverbs 24:26 Every man shall kiss his lips that giveth a right answer. (Who gives the right answers?)
Psalms 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry,

It is just a parable... God created humans in His image. Kiss was made to illustrate sharing of breathe between Him and living beings, He breathed life into man. Imo it means He will breathe His Word of life and Spirit into us... not a literal kiss. I'd allow myself only to kiss the feet of Jesus literally, if anything, and God knows any of us who deems Him Savior would feel like this.

1JOHN 4:1.
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because
many false prophets are gone out into the world.

This chapter is about " the evil man " one who calls wicked good and so fourth... Never does it say kiss God in the mouth, again your interpretation ... He breathed in to the nostrils not the mouth.

It says kiss the Son meaning love the Son, honor Him, hold in high regard. I nowhere said kiss God on the mouth - again you keep putting words into other's mouth. And it is you who is trying to take out of context. The part I quoted talks about the righteous man. I wanted to demonstrate that it is not a literal kissing on the mouth but appreciation of the Word of God:

Proverbs 24:25 But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them.
Proverbs 24:26 Every man shall kiss his lips that giveth a right answer.

I have no idea why are you so hung upon the literal when I didnt even say kiss God on the mouth or anything like it.

Well I wanted to delete this thread because it seems to cause ppl to think about physical sexual things but then I remembered how a good friend of mine told me that even if there is 1 person out of 100 that the message speaks to then we did God's work.
Let me get something straight here. In absolutely no way does this have anything to do with a physical relationship. I will say again the wedding gown is a spiritual one not physical and honestly I still have trouble understanding how anyone could think about physical relations with Jesus like kissing on the lips for instance. I may kiss him but it will on the cheek.

If you don't believe in the wedding and marrying Jesus and you don't understand the metaphor of being in a wedding gown and marrying him that is fine but don't talk ppl down about something you don't understand. Just because it seems creepy at first glance it is extremely important to dig deeper and do research about the point of view because you may find out that your first assumption was way off.

Blain was himself a bit weirded out by himself in the dress (as we all were. It is kinda established.) But he felt led to share with us because of his love for God and was open to all. I think he deserves some credit and better treatment from you for that reason... the message he burned to get through is sanctification and preparing to meet Christ. As for kissing Jesus on the mouth, he never meant anything like that, only closeness to God in spirit, but you projected it from some other people from whom you have heard of this. Yes, this way of thinking about Jesus is gross but thats not what Blain said you projected it onto him. Anyways, parables of marriage are just that, parables, not fleshly marriage with Jesus.
