Q. Do you think that when the bible says we need to exept jesus as our savoir is the only way into heaven is true
Anyone who earnestly cries out for the salvation of others at cost of self, and acts upon it, has called upon the name of Jesus, and followed Him, whether or not they have ever heard that name spoken or written, and that person's heart has been saved.
Has it not?

There's a lot more saved people in the world than religion is willing to concede.
"Your sins are forgiven" is a statement of reassurance, not a statement of bestowal as the pharisees perceived it.

I am quite confident that Jesus was a real person
Can I ask a follow up question? I'm assuming you, being a non Christian, would say Jesus in the Bible is not the same person that JEsus was in reality? What would be your take on who Jesus was in real life, as opposed to the biblical Jesus? Why did you pick that Jesus as the 'real' Jesus over the Jesus described in the Bible?

I believe the reason God didn't mention the ice age and dinosaurs are because it would serve no purpose. The Bible is to point to Jesus, that man could not do it, but Only Jesus, the Son of God can save us and redeem us, and also teach us how to live the life according to his will. It would serve no purpose to mention stuff like the ice age or dinosaurs.

It takes Faith to actually believe in God. If God didn't require faith or some level of trust then what would be the point of our free will to choose are not. It would take away our choice and therefore no one could ever TRULY love God because we not be able too. I Just my thoughts.

Oh it is VERY easy to proove... Jesus is the proof.... Jesus is the WORD OF GOD MADE FLESH.... He lived a TRUE GODLY LIFE WITHOUT SIN HERE ON EARTH.... AND SO DOES ALL WHO DO THE WORD OF GOD.... THEY LIVE A HOLY PERFECTL IFE ON EARTH....

Just becasue there are VERY few of them here, does not make the WORD of GOD UNTRUE, it just makes the WORD very SCARCE in people...

Here is your proof.... Why do you not ACCEPT the Word as Truth, and then LIVE WHAT YOU READ, then try and find SIN IN THAT OBEDIENT LIFE.... You will NEVER doubt again that the WORD IS TRUTH...

Another truth... God says we shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make us free... If we KNOW JESUS, we will LIVE LIKE Jesus, and are we not then free from ALL EVIL? Wow! So the WORD OF GOD IS TRUTH....

John 17:17... Read it... My suggestion. USE KING JAMES BIBLE... That Bible just talks the straightest to the point...

Hinduism is older than Christianity there are alot of religions that have been in existence 1000 of years before jesus was around. Christianity is a newish religion in comparison

Why would the devil make up religions there would be no point in that

no i have never seen "Half goat man" but I also haven't seen somebody walk on water turn water to wine or heal people with no explanation. I also haven't seen water part down the middle. I have never spoke to God.

Also you say reincarnation is a bad belief What about Jesuses reincarnation

You say other religions are not reliable but have you personally researched into there beliefs fully and understood them fully

t t t
Chrisitianity is not a religion. A religion is something you do to make yourself right in the site of Deity. We teach establishing a genuine personal relationship with Jesus Christ as LORD, which means MASTER. Our salvation is by the GRACE of GOD only. AND because of HIS MERCY only, we will not receive the eternal punishment that any sin deserves. NOT ONE PART OF OUR SALVATION, is because of anything we did. (Eph. 2:8)

GRACE = Receiving what we have not earned, nor deserve.

MERCY = NOT receiving what we DO DESERVE.

Our relationship is the New Covenant with the GOD of Israel the CREATOR of everything that is visible and everything that is invisible, the ONLY GOD there IS.

Genesis 1:1 (NIV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Colossians 1:16-18 (NKJV)
[SUP]16 [/SUP]For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. {ref. Eph. 5:23}

The FATHER willed CREATION, and the SON carried out the will of the FATHER.

Romans 1:19-20 (NKJV)
[SUP]19 [/SUP]because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse,

Isaiah 43:10 (NKJV)
[SUP]10 [/SUP]"You are My witnesses," says the LORD, "And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me.

Acts 19:26 (GW)
[SUP]26 [/SUP]and you see and hear what this man Paul has done. He has won over a large crowd that follows him not only in Ephesus but also throughout the province of Asia. He tells people that gods made by humans are not gods.

Galatians 4:8 (HCSB)
[SUP]8 [/SUP]But in the past, when you didn’t know God, you were enslaved to things that by nature are not gods.

Acts 13:16-23 (NKJV)
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Then Paul stood up, and motioning with his hand said, "Men of Israel, and you who fear God, listen:
[SUP]17 [/SUP]The God of this people Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an uplifted arm He brought them out of it.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]Now for a time of about forty years He put up with their ways in the wilderness.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]And when He had destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, He distributed their land to them by allotment.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]After that He gave them judges for about four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]And afterward they asked for a king; so God gave them Saul the son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years.
[SUP]22 [/SUP]And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, 'I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.'
[SUP]23 [/SUP]From this man's seed, according to the promise, God raised up for Israel a Savior--Jesus--

2 Corinthians 5:19 (NKJV)
[SUP]19 [/SUP]that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

Lol, i understand where you're coming from.
Let's first be more clear about this sort of stuff. XP

Natural Selection (in the form of Microevolution) is INDEED TRUE
however, when it comes down to Macroevolution (Darwinism and Evolution) it's NOT true. There is NO scientific evidence for ANY sort of "change in kind". There has only been evidence for a change in species.
(meaning...there is NO evidence whatsoever for a change--Dog to cat. Instead, Darwin only saw the change in species, etc--in the beak of the finches. The finches REMAINED FINCHES. they didn't turn into lizards, etc.)
So technically...Darwin made up all that based on a species that was adapting to circumstances. Adaptation and Evolution are TWO VERY DIFFERENT THINGS.

Then, the Big Bang...
The Bible has NO evidence whatsoever for the Big Bang. Instead, it provides the fact that God created the world in 7 days.
Think about it. The Big Bang would have had to come from Nothing. Why would GOD create a Big Bang? If God exists (and we KNOW He does), why would HE write down in the Bible the way he created the world, and NOT FOLLOW THAT?
There is NO evidence in the Bible for a Big Bang. So....what has you confused? ^__^
Sgree here :)
this doesn't matter but I'm still. It sure if it was literally 7 days or not or seven quality periods of time which he called or was called a day.

I am quite confident that Jesus was a real person
The extant manuscripts of the writings of the 1st century Romano-Jewish historian Flavius Josephus include references to Jesus and the origins of Christianity.[SUP][1][/SUP][SUP][2][/SUP] Josephus' Antiquities of the Jews, written around 93–94 AD, includes two references to Jesus in Books 18 and 20 and a reference to John the Baptist in Book 18.[SUP][1][/SUP][SUP][3][/SUP]
Scholarly opinion on the total or partial authenticity of the reference in Book 18, Chapter 3, 3 of the Antiquities to the execution of Jesus by Pontius Pilate, a passage usually called the Testimonium Flavianum, varies.[SUP][4][/SUP][SUP][5][/SUP][SUP][1][/SUP] The general scholarly view is that while the Testimonium Flavianum is most likely not authentic in its entirety, it is broadly agreed upon that it originally consisted of an authentic nucleus with a reference to the execution of Jesus by Pilate which was then subject to Christian interpolation.[SUP][5][/SUP][SUP][6][/SUP][SUP][7][/SUP][SUP][8][/SUP][SUP][9][/SUP][SUP][10][/SUP] Although the exact nature and extent of the Christian redaction remains unclear[SUP][11][/SUP] there is broad consensus as to what the original text of the Testimonium by Josephus would have looked like.[SUP][9][/SUP]
Modern scholarship has largely acknowledged the authenticity of the reference in Book 20, Chapter 9, 1 of the Antiquities to "the brother of Jesus, who was called Christ, whose name was James" [SUP][12][/SUP] and considers it as having the highest level of authenticity among the references of Josephus to Christianity.[SUP][13][/SUP][SUP][1][/SUP][SUP][2][/SUP][SUP][14][/SUP][SUP][15][/SUP][SUP][16][/SUP] Almost all modern scholars consider the reference in Book 18, Chapter 5, 2 of the Antiquities to the imprisonment and death ofJohn the Baptist to also be authentic.[SUP][17][/SUP][SUP][18][/SUP][SUP][19][/SUP]
The references found in Antiquities have no parallel texts in the other work by Josephus such as the Jewish War, written 20 years earlier, but some scholars have provided explanations for their absence.[SUP][20][/SUP] A number of variations exist between the statements by Josephus regarding the deaths of James and John the Baptist and the New Testament accounts.[SUP][17][/SUP][SUP][21][/SUP] Scholars generally view these variations as indications that the Josephus passages are not interpolations, for a Christian interpolator would have made them correspond to the New Testament accounts, not differ from them.[SUP][17][/SUP][SUP][22][/SUP][SUP][21]

About this time there lived Jesus, a wise man, if indeed one ought to call him a man. For he was one who performed surprising deeds and was a teacher of such people as accept the truth gladly. He won over many Jews and many of the Greeks. He was the Messiah. And when, upon the accusation of the principal men among us, Pilate had condemned him to a cross, those who had first come to love him did not cease. He appeared to them spending a third day restored to life, for the prophets of God had foretold these things and a thousand other marvels about him. And the tribe of the Christians, so called after him, has still to this day not disappeared. - Jewish Antiquities, 18.3.3 §63

In answer to your question how can anybody know that the Bible is true - well (1) all prophecy to our time has been fulfilled. If you know you're Bible, you'll know that most of the prophecies in the OT have been fulfilled. (There are still some to be fulfilled).
(2) The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handiwork.
Psa 19:2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night showeth knowledge.
Psa 19:3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
Psa 19:4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
Look at creation; the heavens, your body (how complex it is); the birth of a baby
Is Christianity true? Everything about Jesus is true and backed up by the Bible.
Ultimately, though, it comes down to faith. If you don't believe, and want to know the truth, then ask God to open your heart. If you're sincere, He will show you.

But we are living in perilous times when God has said He will send people strong delusion and they will believe a lie.

2 Th 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
2 Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
2 Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2 Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2 Th 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Heb 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
Heb 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
Heb 3:14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
Heb 3:15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

I always wondered whether his abiltys could have been exaggerated over time e.g. turning water to wine (could just mixed some water and wine) or resurrection maybe he wasn't dead. Walking on water I have no answer for. I do not believe 100% what I have just said I see them more as possibility. At the end of the day I have never seen anything like that performed other that a Magician.

1. I do not have religion
2. Not sure what you mean by worldveiw
3. They are all the questions that I want to no the answers. I spend nearly everyday for hour or more wondering the possible answers over and over. Why we are here, is there a point to existance is right or wrong real or is anything real.I never really come up with solution no matter what scientific arti I read or watch they never really have the answer instead loads of evidence but when I talk to christian you seem to have all the aswers but now evidance. I hope this makes sense.
Lol, a worldview is basically the way we look at the world and our place in this world.
Everyone has a worldview, regardless of what they know/don't know.

Yes, i completely understand where you are coming from.
But the thing is, we DO have the evidence. We KNOW that God exists. We DO have all the answers, and we DO have the evidence.
Which question has you the MOST confused right now? I can try to help by addressing them one by one and providing evidence to support my claims if you'd like. ^_^

God exists.
Is that also something you aren't sure of? <3

The bible contains over 2000 prophecies that have been fulfilled, and several that will be fulfilled in our future.

The bible's words transcend all eras of history. It's words stand the test of time. Though it was written over a period of 1500 years, in 3 different languages, by several different men (many of them never having met each other), it flows together perfectly and speaks to the hearts of people today.

The scriptures are affirmed by thousands of archaeological discoveries. There has never been one archaeological find that has refuted one bible reference. The bible is the most historically and archaeologically documented book in history. Geographical locations were written about in great detail, long before man ever discovered them.

Jesus' crucifixion was written about 1000 years before He was born and 400 years before crucifixions were invented. Psalm 22:12-18 details His crucifixion "They pierced My hands and My feet"

The bible has been and is tremendously persecuted (mocked, scorned, outlawed, censored, burned), but yet it still remains :)

The bible stands and proclaims it's message year after year, generation after generation, century after century, government after government. It's very presence after thousands of years of persecution is a scriptural fulfillment of the promise that it would remain until the end of the world.

The words written are the foundation of truth and will be until the end of history.

Faith is not spontaneous... (For some it is) But for most it is a work....

Being a Christian is not a sprint and poof it is over... It is a marathon, faith is more than just saying Jesus is real, but it is more so living like He is real... I know that makes no sense at first glance; however, lets say you are 13 years old and your parents leave you home alone in your house for a week... You have two options to live like your parents are still here and do you chores and go to school... Or rebel and become basically wicked and deal with the consequences... That is the just of how you are to be a Christian... And faith will grow in you as you read more and understand more...

There are only a minute amount of people who can do calculus at the age of 9 years old... Just like a week to a month into your faith you are not willing to die for Christ... But as you go on in your faith you learn more and grow and get to the point where you can learn calculus... Some people have a bit harder time learning then others....

Lol, if you think about it--the water to wine? That was Jesus' FIRST miracle. If it didn't actually happen, no one would have followed him. He would have JUST been a hoax. And if you think about it further, there was NO wine left at all in the house. NONE. So when Jesus changed that water into wine, and told the servants to give it to the banquet master (host), they would have checked the wine themselves. After they brought it to the master of the banquet, the master noted that THE WINE WAS BETTER THAN anything he had drunk in his whole life. Most people save the bad wine (or poorly fermented wine) for the guests to drink later ---when the guests are all drunk. But Jesus' water to wine was better than anything ANYONE had made--it was REAL.

Resurrection? He was definitely dead. If you read the Bible (or even take note in historical documents), the soldiers stabbed Jesus in the side when he was hanging on the cross. Blood and water flowed out. What does that mean? Well, when a person is dead, their blood separates, actually. The red blood cells and the water in the blood separates, and thus, when Jesus was stabbed in the side, he was clearly dead. Blood doesn't separate if he was in a coma, or only half dead.
Also, if you look at the way Jesus was whipped and tortured before his crucifixion, Jesus should have been dead BEFORE he even got to the cross. NO HUMAN BEING could have survived being whipped by the nine-tails---his flesh was ripped, and bleeding.
The thorns that were pushed into his head were most likely 2-3 inches long.

He wasn't a Magician, but he was no ordinary human being.
he was GOD in human body. Miracles happen--they're not just some supernatural superstition that we're making up. These miracles actually happened. ^_^
Otherwise...why would His disciples be so willing to DIE for their beliefs? Why would anyone die for a LIE?

Jesus was either Lord--God's Son
or he was a Liar--in which case he would NOT be a good "moral teacher"
or he was a lunatic--also in which case he would NOT be a good "moral teacher".

And we ALL know that Jesus was a "Good Man". But for us Christians, we KNOW Jesus was MUCH more than just a good teacher. he was God's Son.

Any more questions? ^__^

I am so surprised that a lot of people on here don't listen with their hearts instead of their heads. Sometimes I feel that there are very vague answers to a pointed question. I think we need to do more listening with our hearts to see where some of these posters are coming from.

May God bless you well

I believe the nature of His superhuman acts are indicative of the abilities of the pre-fall human.
I believe we all have the activators for these acts still buried within our nature, but they cannot be manifested because a lack of proper heart and mind exists. I believe Jesus was the first to unlock these extensions of bodily abilities, and that this state is encapsulated in the terms "Christ" and "annointed one"

Here are a list of the triggers that still exist in us that I have noticed.

Flying dreams - that "breathing will" effect that is required to fly in a dream is all Jesus had to do in real life when He ascended. You know how for a moment after waking from one of those dreams, you feel like it was so real that you should be able to walk outside and just do it.

Suddenly waking from a dream fall - an innate trigger that saves a pre-fall Adam or little child from dying from slipping on a high cliff, or a bumped head from tripping over a rock. No more worry of such. (reference "cast yourself down" and "send His messenger lest you dash your foot"

Defying the physics of water in dreams - walking on water, as though you were carefully walking on thin ice. (reference the sea of glass)

The feeling you experience the moment you hear a loved one has died. - Raises them from the dead.
And the similar emotions concerning the sick - Healing.

Being locked up or restrained - Evokes the ability to pass through physical barriers. Makes tying someone up a futile and vain imagination.

I think all these "powers" and others which were meant to be normal for every human, were unlocked for Him.

In other words, they shouldn't be that far fetched and unbelievable. They are built in and just suppressed by our current condition. I don't think a person is meant to use them for ill-gotten gain, and that's why we can't have them.

I don't think the miracles were to showcase just Him and God, I believe they were to showcase what a normal human is supposed to be.

And none of us are that kind of normal lol.
