THanking God I am not the Judge, trusting God in all his Mercy, with God's ability to teach us grow us, love us, causing each of his own to stand.

If suicide is an unforgiveable sin, then it would make our Lords word false when He says all sin will be forgiven except the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

Plus it also makes it evident in scripture that purposeful or willful sin is not acceptable.

Is a person who commits suicide in the right frame of mind to make proper decisions, most cases it has been proven that they are usually so far distraut by what they are dealing with they believe there is no other way out.
I know also in many cases they usually leave a note asking for forgiveness from friends and family members, and then who is to say if they before they commit the suicide said or not forgive me Lord.

Some Christians believe in a fairy tale that life is easy, wonderful, and that this could not happen to a true believer in Christ.

Their argument falls to the ground though when you mention how the Apostles and Christians before us were beaten, killed, exiled, and imprisoned. And even now days it happens to Christians, and the bible makes it clear that even in the future bad things will happen to believers, and as a fact it will get worse.

well, i struggle with suicide every day and i was taught that if one commits suicide its not necessarily a "sin" because depression is a disease and diseases are almost impossible to treat. Plus God judges your heart
God knws our hearts. Maybe, God (Yeweh) wants you to see what his Son has done for you at his death bathed in his blood

By the death his shed blood, you are divorced from Sin. Ready to be remarried to Yehweh in Spiit and truth, thank to Yeshua (Jesus)
Ask Father (Yehweh) for this new life in Spirit and truth, and be set free by the resurrected Christ, get over he death, mve on into the resurected life. For Christ is alive now and forever, waiting in patience love and Mercy for us to finally respond in thankfulness

The scriptures says that no murderer will enter the kingdom of God. That soul who committed suicide murdered himself. Whosoever he is would have died in his sins, because he did not confess and repent of his sin.I am judging the action not the person.
Try to "judge" this:

a. Who in his right mind with faith in Jesus Christ would murder himself?
b. What happens if during the dying moments he called his Savior and confessed his sins?
c. Who will judge you after you judged the action of a sick person?

I think God's mercy would save the person whom God, in his omniscience and having predestined that persons life before the creation of the world, had known was suffering to that extent. If God is love he wouldn't compound the after life of someone so distressed in their life that they acted in a manner that demonstrated they couldn't bear to live it anymore.
God is mercy and love.

I realise that this is a really sensitive subject and I apologise if anyone finds this topic hard. I'm asking this question as I see this question pop up a lot.

I feel that this one takes the application of some simple logic. In Ephesians 1:13-14 Paul wrote that at the moment we first heard the gospel and believed it the Holy Spirit was sealed within us as a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance. In 2 Cor. 1:21-22 he added to this saying that God Himself has accepted responsibility for us and put His mark of ownership on us. In Colossians 2:13-14 he said that the Lord forgave us all our sins at the cross. That means our salvation was guaranteed before we had a chance to do anything, good or bad, after becoming saved.

Since God knows the end from the beginning, He knew every sin we would ever commit. The moment we accepted the Gospel and became born again all of them were forgiven, even the sin of taking our own life if it comes to that.

Yet some people believe that they would go to hell. Some will argue, but how can you repent of suicide? It is too late after you died. But I believe that this betrays an idea that each time you sin you temporarily lose your salvation before you go back to God and ask for his forgiveness.

So what are your views?

God bless!

(
Also I'd like to point out that God would never want you to take your life as he values it more than anything in the world, so much that he gave his own son)

Jesus stated: " He that ENDURES TO THE END ( natural death/Rapture) SHALL BE SAVED" (Matthew 10 v 22)..... Secondly, suicide is a cop -out, meaning you have no faith or believe in the power of God., The person that kills them self is going to hell...
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so glad you are not God, me praying for no one to be condemened by Yeweh and by Yeshua
Psalm 103:12New International Version (NIV)[SUP]12 [/SUP]as far as the east is from the west,

so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

Romans 8:1
[ Life Through the Spirit ] Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,

God knows who is who, God Yeweh blessed us all by Son Yeshua, time to be thankful as we all go through troubles that can either teach us or cause us to commit suicide by one's thoughts that take over and steal, kill and destroy. where a Yeshua came to give us life, for when each is first born, we are born dead, yet appear alive, yet Spiritually born dead
John 10:10
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

this is hard because I wrestle with suicidal thoughts, a lot over the past year. Sometimes I feel like just crying, and going to sleep as much as possible, I hate my life many times, and not in a biblical way that Christ would talk about. Sometimes I feel that nothing good will come, and that God opposes the work of my hand
Been there and always could be again, Brother just do your best to stand, and maybe look at Job stand in belief as Job stood all the way through it all. Never once cursed God. Even by Faith said this:
Job 19:25
I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth.

Today this is past tense done we are saved by Yeshua, period

If a person has time to repent before they die, then they can be forgiven; But most times when a person commits self murder, they are committing a sin whereby they cannot repent of it (Whereby then they are not saved). They are committing one final act of sin or rebellion against God. For how can you be sorry or repent after you are dead? Don't you think unbelievers might be feeling sorry for rejecting Jesus when they died? Anyways, this topic has to do with Repentance versus OSAS (Once Saved Always Saved). Repentance is the Biblical model or plan of salvation of us getting our hearts right with God according to the Bible. OSAS is a doctrine of demons that basically teaches that you can live however you want and still be saved because all your future sin is paid for. Yet Jesus criticized and condemned the hypocritical type faith many times within the gospels with the Pharisees. Nothing has changed since His ministry that was preparing everyone for the New Testament when He died upon the cross. However, Repentance is not a new teaching, though. Repentance is is a key essential theme that has existed since the Old Testament.

For OSAS believers would have you believe that we are not perfecting holiness in the fear of the Lord (2 Corinthians 7:1). Yes, it is true that perfect loves casts out fear. But see, you have to perfect your faith in holiness so as to cast out fear. It takes work in perfecting holiness in the fear of God. For if we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). This does not mean we are saved by works. Repentance is not a work but it is simply throwing yourself down before the mercy of God; And perfecting your faith is simply choosing to abide with Jesus Christ who is the source of salvation. For He that has the Son has life and He that does not have the Son does not have life (1 John 5:12). For there is no "Condemnation" to those who are in Christ Jesus walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh (Romans 8:1). Is committing suicide walking after the Spirit? Or is committing suicide walking after the flesh?

YES only the Saint will enter the Government of and under God. All who commit murder for the most part will be given God's Truth and if they follow God they will become Saints and then enter God's Government. They are part of the second resurrection it is a 100 year time frame were the many learn about God.

I have studied many years, and I believe that "All who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved .... none shall pluck them out of my Father hand"..... In recent years, I have come to recognize the story of the Prodigal Son to be one of the most Beautiful stories in the Bible. The son, having rejected his fathers house and ways, left to do it on his own, and ended up destitute and hungry in a pig stye. That is the lowest a "Jew" could sink -- covered with mud and pig excrement he went back home in hope of being a servant. But his Father "watching from afar" (God is watching) "Ran to meet his son" and "hugged and kissed him" (covered in mud and excrement) and "put a robe on his shoulder, sandals on his feet, and a ring on his finger, and ordered a great fest/party" God is not waiting to judge you for the sins you have committed, "He is watching from afar, and will run to hug and kiss us when we return, and put a robe on righteous on our shoulders and sandals on our feet and a ring on our finger, and set us at the feast". I don't know about the other people, but that is the God I serve, the same God that sacrificed his son so that I might take on the mantle of his righteousness. You are righteous through Christ, he has paid for your sins.

All that call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved, that is what my bible says. I point to the thief on the cross who said, when you enter your kingdom, remember me. Jesus said, well, if you would have gone to confession, I might be able to help you out. No, that is not what Jesus said, he said "Today, you will be with me in paradise".

I love how you have explained that should we feel the need to confess each time, it would mean that we loose our salvation temporarily before we then confess that sin. I have often tired to explain that committing suicide is not something that causes us to go to hell for all eternity because Jesus dies for ALL our sins. Can you imagine if you died naturally and forgot to confess that you had committed some other sin, would this then mean that you would go to hell?

Sin is sin to the Lord irrespective of what we have done, somehow the sin of killing ourselves or homosexuality seem to be bigger to some people that other sin's.

As you put it, if we need to make sure we are sinless when we die then really what did Jesus die for?
I do not think that you can compare suicide, a one off act, with practising homesexuality, a deliberate continuation in sin. What did Jesus Christ die for? To make us sinless. We must not 'continue in sin'. Sadly, as the Lord's prayer makes clear we do sin, and sin daily. But we must never rest satisfied with sin. It should always be anathema to us.

That is why as well as once-for-all salvation from the penalty of sin we need continual salvation from the power of sin..

For OSAS believers would have you believe that we are not perfecting holiness in the fear of the Lord (2 Corinthians 7:1).
I wonder why it is that you are always so wrong? All Christians are perfecting holiness in the fear of God. It is a process which commences when we are born of the Spirit, and it will continue until we are presented perfect before Him. And it is possible because He is at work within us to will and do of His good pleasure (Phil 2.13).

Yes, it is true that perfect loves casts out fear. But see, you have to perfect your faith in holiness so as to cast out fear.
You talk such perfect nonsense. If you had to perfect your faith in holiness to cast out fear, you would never cast out fear. You could never be sure that you were holy enough. It is His love for us that enables us to cast out fear.

It is because your standard of holiness is so low that you think otherwise. For all your protestations your salvation is work based, AND I FEAR FOR YOU.

It takes work in perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
See what I mean?

For if we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
If only you really understood this verse you might have hope. My friend it is no use washing every day. You need a full bath - 'to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness' (then 'he who is bathed needs not but to wash his feet').

This does not mean we are saved by works.
but you have just said that perfecting holiness in the fear of God IS a work. You are inconsistent.

Repentance is not a work but it is simply throwing yourself down before the mercy of God;
True but that is not perfecting holiness in the fear of God. It is calling on God to perfect holiness in us.

And perfecting your faith is simply choosing to abide with Jesus Christ who is the source of salvation.
So simple, LOL just choose to abide in Christ, just like a branch chooses to abide in the vine? Have you ever seen a branch which made that choice? We can only abide in Christ when we have been made one with Christ, when we have been made a fruitbearing branch, and that is wholly by grace. Then because the Spirit has worked within us we abide in Christ in response to His initiative. That is not a work but a response of faith and trust. We do not strive to perfect holiness. Christ works through us in His holiness.

.
For He that has the Son has life and He that does not have the Son does not have life (1 John 5:12).
Absolutely, once we have received Christ we have everlasting, continual, unlosable life (1 John 5.13).

For there is no "Condemnation" to those who are in Christ Jesus who walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh (Romans 8:1).
ALL Christians walk after the Spirit, even though sometimes in a stumbling fashion, because the Spirit is at work in them Those who walk after the flesh are not Christians. They do not have the Spirit (verse 9)
Is committing suicide walking after the Spirit? Or is committing suicide walking after the flesh?
It is in most cases neither. Suicide can arise for a number of reasons. Mental instability, choosing to give one's life for others (which Jesus Commended, or the feeling of being unable to go on resulting in an act of desperation. None of those are 'after the flesh'. Of course deliberate suicide when the mind is perfectly balanced is a different matter. It is God Who decides, not Jason.

I wouldn't recommend committing suicide, but Samson did that in effect. God even enabled it. He even wound up in the faith chapter of Hebrews 11.

Committing suicide is extremely selfish, though. It seems like a Christian would consider the negative witness he would leave behind with his family and friends. In effect, he would be saying that Jesus wasn't enough for his joy.

SAMPSON DID NOT COMMIT SUICIDE!!!!!!!! He was a prisoner about to be executed and he cried out to God for his strength back to take out some of God's enemies before he went. If you STILL want to construe that is suicide... God help you... because you have a terribly warped comprehension and it is probably affected most of your theology.

If someone takes their own life, they will die lost....read what apostle Paul stated in I Corinthians 3 v 16 &17. We are the temple of God ( Converted Christians) Even the sinners were made by God as well...so same rule applies.
I don't think that's exactly what is meant there or that would include everyone who smokes, drinks, over eats, doesn't exercise, or eats artery clogging foods. Also takes drugs, or even died from taking unnecessary stupid risks.
