i dont work on the sabbath u see. but if we are to follow Jesus in everything its impossible because Jesus was circumcised and Paul tells us it dont matter if u are or not u see.
Jesus was also God in the flesh and perfect so thats gonna be tough to mirror.
Hi Muz, we happen to be discussing the Sabbath which we can keep whether circumcised in the flesh or in the heart as is taught in the NT....so no problem there.
Also we are to be conformed to HIS image and become holy and perfect as our Father in heaven. Jesus was not God HIMself - He was/is the SON of God....likewise WE will not be GOD but His Sons and daughters 2Cor 6v18.
So where are all these problems you are talking about ?

It's simple for people to put things in a nutshell for our puny little minds...Jesus IS love. Jesus' love fulfilled the law when He said it was finished and died and was resurrected. We enter heaven by the love of Jesus (accepting the truth) which is grace given to us by His blood. That is all that is required. Works and commandments do not save, He saves. Respect the commandments because "it is good for us" (keeps us from having to learn life lessons from our own consequences) in other words...don't sin...it's not good for you...
Seems that you know that if love is the fulfilling of the law, and Jesus fulfilled it, but that doesn’t mean He also put an end to love? If love still exists, then so does the law for in those instructions, are the descriptions of how to exact His love the right way. True or false?

Well, the Apostle Paul was very blunt when it came to this issue.
Galatians 5:4 King James Version (KJV) 4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
Yes friend, and who is saying otherwise? For by grace are you saved through faith and not of yourselves it is a gift of God.

His website certainly sounds like SDA to me. https://www.beastsmark.com Bible Truth Versus Adventist Truth - Mark of the Beast Praise God for brother Anderson, who was a member of the SDA church for 33 years, but managed to study his way out of the SDA church.
The Truth about the Seventh-day Adventist Church
We should not point people to the teachings of men over the Word of God. For me, he must increase and I must decrease. I only point all to the Word of God because it is there we find the one who loves us that we may love him. I know him and am known by him. All that he shows me I see and must show to all because I am blind. He tells me it is those that see that do not see. These are they that have once known him or do not know him. Who am I that he should choose me out of the world? I am no one but he is all. If I did not believe him I would not know him. What can I do without him? He is love and now I love. I follow him now because I love him who first loved me. I do not judge you but His Word will judge us because they are there for all to see. All are welcome to see and hear God's Word, however many are called but few are chosen. Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils but His Word is promises to deliver us and it is here we must find safety. We ought to obey God rather than man. God is love and he that dwells in love dwells in God

JESUS DOES for us what we can not do....but NOW that we can receive HIS Spirit we ARE able to do what once we could not. OBEDIENCE is now the 'good works we are being created to do, and they come from GOD...they are NOT OUR works. Please take the time to grasp this !!!
Great post Beta, this is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes. For by grace are you saved through faith and not of yourselves it is a gift of God lest any man should boast because it is Christ in you that is the hope of glory and the exceeding great and precious promises that change the heart to love him because he first loved us.

You may not be SDA but the OP most certainly is...and his website is a parrot of Ellen White's teachings, just as he is a parrot of her teachings on this forum...
You have admitted that you know next-to-nothing about SDA doctrine. Perhaps you should do some research on your own initiative. You may then find that the sentiments expressed do not exactly match with YOUR understanding...Perhaps you may also end up agreeing with SDA doctrine, who knows...For my part, those who hold closely to SDA doctrine do not believe in Biblical Christianity, if for no other reason than SDA's view the writings of Ellen G. White as co-authoritative with the Bible! (As has already been noted by kindest view of her and her writings was that she was confused!) Think about that for a moment...Unless one is interpreting the Bible according to the writings of Ellen White then one cannot be an SDA - despite the fact that she introduces hundreds of extra biblical teachings - many completely contradicting plain Biblical teaching. That is not my opinion, but it is an official position of that church.

Friend, I only share God’s Word with you and point you to no other but him who loves us. I follow no man, women or church. I only follow he who sends me. I know him and am known by him because I am in him and he in me and his Spirit bears witness with my Spirit that he loves me and that I know him and follow him because I love him.

He who sees, sees all. How can you being evil do good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Those that be whole do not need a physician but those that are sick. The mirror shows the way. All must look into it and see themselves as God sees them. Only then we can see the one who loves us and know the one who is calling us. It is the small voice behind us saying this is the way walk you in it.

The light shines in darkness; but the darkness does not understand. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. Light is come into the world, but men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. Every one that does evil hates the light, neither comes to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that does truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. Who can know the Word of God when there is no Word?

He is calling all who have ears to hear and eyes to see. These are they that are blind and deaf. In times of ignorance God winks at and he is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. It is hard to kick against the pricks. Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. He must increase and I must decrease. All who know him believe his Word and follow him because he calls us. Do you know all the scriptures quoted above?

Do you have anything to contribute to the OP and the scriptures which is about love?

This thread is not teaching a works to be saved based belief system but a Love GOD and each other as the Messiah taught us through His Testament. I dont don't think the idea of nothing we can do to contribute comes in to it because the Messiah Teaches us what we are to do.. anyone proposing any work to be saved is missing the boat that by Grace through Faith in the Messiah we are saved unto good works.... believing unto the saving of our souls. The Just shall live by Faith.. and that is the New Covenant where we have GOD's Law in our heart and on our mind by believing and receiving the Holy Spirit.
Praise God for his Word in those that love him loveme1. We are to live by faith in him who loves all. The creator of all by the Word of his power has given us the great promises to make us share the divine nature to escape the corruption that is in the world through the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? Then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil. Can the blind see, the deaf hear and the lame walk? All things are possible to those who believe his Word and rely on his promises because they walk by faith and not by sight. God's Sheep hear his voice and he knows them by name.

It always amazes me these who speak as of a person has "love" and "obedience" they're a Christian. I mean, what other fruit would you expect a cult to put forward to hoodwink others? Let's apply her criteria to the JW's. They must be "in" too. Scripture is no longer the measure, it is all becoming purely subjective. Let's play this out to its logical absurdity: Those like loveme1 and many others have now said by implication the test of a believer is "love" and "obedience."
What does God's Word say is the test of the true believer?

1 John 3:3-10
3, And every man that hath this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure. 4, Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 5, And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 6, Whosoever abides in him sins not: whosoever sins hath not seen him, neither known him. 7, Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8, He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9, Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10, In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother.

1 John 3:14
We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loves not his brother abides in death.

1 John 4:20
If a man say, I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar
: for he that loves not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

1 John 4:8

He that loves not knows not God; for God is love.

John 14:23-24
23, Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24, He that loves me not keeps not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me

James 2:8-12
8, If ye fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well: 9, But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. 10, For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. 11, For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. 12, So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

Romans 13:8-10
8, Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loves another hath fulfilled the law. 9, For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. 10, Love works no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Matthew 22:36-40
36, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37, Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38, This is the first and great commandment. 39, And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. 40, On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (see Deut 6:5; Lev 19:18)

Who are God's people?

Revelations 12:17And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelations 22:14-15
14, Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 15, For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whore-mongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loves and makes a lie.

1 John 3:7-10
7, Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

1 John 2:2-4
3, And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4, He that saith, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes

1 Corinthians 1:18-21
18, For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 19, For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20, Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21, For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

1 Peter 1:2-9
Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. 3, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for you, 2 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6, Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: 7, That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8, Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9, Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

God's Sheep hear his voice....

Seems to me there are people on this forum who are quite mixed up with what God teaches in scripture and what the doctrines of \churches teach.

They know and read that the Lord is the supreme G0d and He is the only one with power to give us salvation. They understand that Jesus paid for our sins. But they get this all mixed up with whether they should follow the Lord and accept His guidance.

They also don't seem to understand the layout of the bible. They seem to have a strange idea of what is in the OT and the NT. When Paul was made the 13th apostle going to the gentiles, Paul was a Pharisee Rabbi trained to be a Rabbi in the best school of that age. He told us of God, the same eternal God who is in the OT. Christ also is there. In the OT it celebrates the giving of the law through Moses, on that same day with the same celebration the law was given to us though the Holy Spirit.

God had given rituals like diet restrictions, circumcision, etc. to help guide them to obedience. In Christ's time these rituals were called the law of Moses. We are to learn what the rituals were to guide them to do and let the Holy Spirit be our guide to the same thing.

God created our world and the laws it is to run by. God did not send His Son to change what He had created, Christ
and the Father are one.

Deny yourself the power of GOD by all means but for those who been converted by GOD can not deny but live by Faith.

You could make the slippiest slope and yet GOD keeps those that Love Him from falling... The Everlasting Gospel is preached and the saints Keep the Commandments of GOD and The Faith of Jesus... now may you be Blessed with Truth by the Grace of GOD.

God’s grace and truth is sufficient indeed…

1 Corinthians 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

John 8:34,
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin.

John 8:31-32

31,Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; 32, And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 8:36
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

This is the victory that overcomes the world even our faith in him who loves us. God's Word is the power of creation and a sign to those who believe. Praise be to our farther in Heaven.

I do not obey OT law because Jesus did it for me knowing I couldn't. If I try to obey it myself now I trash the value of His suffering and dying on my behalf.

the Gospel is the Law to follow and obey. im not sure i see here where anyone is saying obey the Ot Law. were Christians we Obey Jesus and the Gospel if we do that we will be Loving One another and that will automatically fulfill the covenant Law.

amen its Gods Word we need to Believe Not Just that Jesus died and rose, But what He said, the Gospel is what He preached when you put it together with the crucifixion and resurrection. it is Jesus who says You must Keep My Words, Obey Me, follow Me, Abide in My Word, Keep my commands, do not simply Hear, but do........that is what we need to Believe as Much as anything, that we are called through Jesus to Obey the Word of God. Not to continue on in sin without consequence.

Great thread God bless. The devils most effective Lie these days seems to be " God didnt say you must repent of your sin and walk in the Word of God....dont think that its a trap and self work"

James 1:Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. 22But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

23For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Many Here on the bdf have no ability to distinguish Between the Mosaic Law, and The Gospel of the Kingdom of God. in fact some of them will tell you that Jesus taught the Mosaic Law. so His Words dont apply to Christianity only what He did on the cross applies. its called the "gospel of grace" the issue is that they define Grace to mean if anything is required of you, its not Grace. you dont have to obey, you dont have to repent.....theres no consequence if you dont, God doesnt see you when you sin, He sees Jesus perfection instead, you should never feel guilty of sin, instead when you sin confess that you are the righteousness of God in Christ......it goes on and on really but its very popular in the world and on this site.

I would say that 'doing the Will of God is a salvation issue'.
Keeping the Sabbath Holy is one of His commandments and I know of no scripture where God has 'rescinded it.
Even Jesus our living walking example was/became obedient unto death while on this earth....and WE are to be conformed unto Him. There is no argument on this matter ! Those who don't want to obey should just 'stay away !
Mostly its an issue of people not believing whats really in the scripture because doctrine Like the gog is spread so far in the world and when it is tested against scripture, its found to be more than anything opposite whats really in the Word of God. mis use of out of context scripture to support thier explaination of something yet the explaination is far from the context the scripture they use. when you have a book with a million words and hundreds of thousands of sentances, its quite easy to distort things. Hope you are well sister

They are not following the true Christ of yesterday, today and forever !

Are you saying Jesus was also His own Father ? Let me ask you...are you claiming to be your own father or do you actually have a father ?

When Jesus says : 'I and my Father are one' He is speaking of the SPIRIT - having the SAME MIND ! just like when we agree with another we can say we are 'likeminded but are 'not the one and same person. They - the Father and the Son are 2 Beings acting in the same SPirit !

There is no need to create problems when there aren't any. God bless Muz !

Love is the fulfilling of God's Law in us who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit (
Romans 8:4).... This includes the 7th Day Sabbath which is one of the 10 because if we break one we are guilty of breaking all.
Love is indeed the fulfilling of God's law, and observing the Lord's Day -- the first day of the week -- was how the apostolic churches showed their love for God and Christ. It is noteworthy that when the Jerusalem Council ruled on the Law of Moses (Acts 15), they did not include the observance of the 7th day sabbath. And ever since, the day of worship, rest, and good works for Christians became the Lord's Day.

Amen....the law proves one's guilt, men cannot keep it and it points us to the only cure...faith into Jesus.....no one will ever be made right by attempting to keep that which proves one's guilt.......
