I see you didnt read the thread then. Read for example post by John146 on the first page.
Good stuff. The reason why i addressed dispensationalists is because they are majority of the known grace movement that seek to completely undermine Jesus and only pick out the grace stuff from Paul.
Obviously they wont touch any of the OTHER passages from Paul.
IOW. You don't deal with people as individuals, you find a category to stick them in so you can deal with that instead of them. I think there's a word for that. Should we place you in that category then??

A lot of the true dispensationalists will rarely admit this is what they are, because they see
it as a weakness.

And all believers are dispensationalist to a because there is a change under Jesus from the
law of Moses to the law of Christ. Also our way of approaching God has changed, and the
Kingdom has now come to earth, in His people through the indwelling Holy Spirit.

The way gentiles are now grafted in to Israel or the people of God is also a change with
the two Jews and gentiles becoming one. So the way one describes it has to be careful
or the knives are out, but that is a given for many here, lol :)

It means we should learn to live by the life of Christ in us, not fall back to what led us to Him.
How is being a good ambassador "fall back to what led us to Him"?

Yes live by Christ leading. Lets examine the sermon on the mount and you can tell me what you find so objectional that you would tell people to NOT do it?

It's not about what we do. It's about what Christ has done.

Here Jesus tells us the type of people who are a blessing to the world. I pray that we can have these characteristics.

Matthew 5
Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
For they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
For they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful,
For they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
For they shall be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

“Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

It's not about what we do. It's about what Christ has done.
Christ has saved us for good works. So it very much about what we do after being saved.

I find it ironic people say let Christ live in them but them get offended when Christ actually asks them to do some work.

The Holy Spirit moves us to do good works in this world.

Is that a true or false statement?

By all means, do whatever Christ is asking you to do.

Jesus tells us that we are the light of the world and not to lose our saltiness. He tells us not to hide and to do good works so that God might be glorified.

****

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

***

How can people say that is for only Jewish believers?

Blessed is the Most High God and his Son Jesus whom has come in the flesh and his kingdom shall be from everlasting to everlasting.

Matthew 5:22-24

[SUP]22 [/SUP]But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
[SUP]23 [/SUP]Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
[SUP]24 [/SUP]Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

The sermon on the mount are teachings that we should take in to our thoughts and apply them in life when the situation is such that those teachings apply.

Then we have offending your brother, murder, adultery, divorce, oaths, going the extra mile, loving your enemies.

All these things God wants us to know and make us realize that we aren't as holy and righteous as we sometimes fool ourselves into believing.

That without Jesus blood we would deserve hell, but with the Holy Spirit we can see the wisdom in making peace with our brothers, forgiving others and not murdering them in our hearts, staying faithful to our spouses and not lusting over other people's spouses, etc.

The Holy Spirit shows us God's wisdom.

This is true, by showing us without His love and life in our hearts we cannot
fulfill Gods aspirations. But with Gods power at work in us, we do fulfill them.

It appears to me it is this second part you are missing.
If you think that you can fulfil all God's aspiration for you, you have something missing :) or is it that your God is to small.

Blessed are you oh Lord whom gives understanding to the wise and showing mercy on those that love you!

Matthew 7:7-12

[SUP]7 [/SUP]Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
[SUP]8 [/SUP]For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
[SUP]11 [/SUP]If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

This sounds like wisdom, saying I am making God small and me large.

The cross says we are worthy of Christs love and He does love us.
It is miraculous because it witnesses through the resurrection we can conquer death.
It is God coming from on High and calling us brothers and sisters and showing us how
we can walk like Him. And it is His Holy Spirit that testifies this reality to our hearts
for as long as we stay trusting and in faith with Him.

So my God is enormous to do so much, to come from so High to a place so low, and lift
us up as His people. Not an empty lifting, but something real and victorious that is not
limited by flesh and blood or the sins and lusts of this world but overcomes them all.

I have such faith in my God that He can accomplish this is me, Amen, Halleluyah.

Are you sure it's his view of God That is small?

I believe the bible tells us "with God all things are possible"

Without God it would not be possible, true.

Trying to achieve man made standards of holiness can't be acheived, true,

However God is not so cruel that He places burdens upon us we can not handle. His cross is light and He sets tasks and goals we can achieve with His help.

So if God tells us to do something, I have faith He will give us the power to do it,

All praise to the Father for whom we suffer many things of many men whom despitefully hate us, and slander us, and tempt us, and if it were possible for them they would slay us all the day long. As your Holy Martyr Stephen said, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge.

Matthew 6:14-15
[SUP]14 [/SUP]For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
[SUP]15 [/SUP]But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Yes, his god clearly doesn't expect much of him
I believe the bible tells us "with God all things are possible"

.

God's final aspiration for us far exceeds anything that we can even dream of. An we will receive it at the resurrection.

Trying to achieve man made standards of holiness can't be acheived, true,
How much less can we hope to achieve God's standards. That is why Christ met them for us.

However God is not so cruel that He places burdens upon us we can not handle. His cross is light and He sets tasks and goals we can achieve with His help. So if God tells us to do something, I have faith He will give us the power to do it,
That is not God's aspiration for us except in a secondary sense. His final aspiration is true righteousness and holiness. And we will not have these until our mortal bodies have been made like His body in glory.

Maybe it's a failure to communicate?

A dad tells the kid to clean their room...is the kid able to do that, yes or no?

When Peter uses the word "aspirations" he is refering to the good works God created us to do in this life for His glory,

Yet when you use the word "aspirations" you refer to the final resurrection?

Now I am confused.
