First I suggest you use cleaner language and not use profanity on here and second I never forced my beliefs on you so please do not accuse me of something you cannot prove to be true. And also, what makes you less of a sinner than those who do not share your beliefs.

You called me out. If you don't want a reply then don't dish it out. If you think crap is some horrible word you need to grow up.

You haven't been here for awhile but you were here before when all the same things were happening. None of this is new to you. Same as always the Catholics come in call out any Catholics here. Come in here with their spill of what they believe. We all don't care about what you believe. What we care about is the only real religion. Which has our God Father, Son and Holy Spirit not some lies from hell of Mary, saints and all the other hog wash.

When Jesus was here he called people that did as you all snakes. I'll keep praying I wouldn't want any harm to come to anyone. But I'm still not putting up with false teachers.

If you hate me, that is fine and dandy with me since I have nothing to lose by it. I do not have to answer to you since you have no right to dictate whether a person is saved or not. The truth is you can still believe what you believe in while respecting the right for other people to hold their own beliefs. I believe you are the one who started this thread. I do not care one bit if you hate me because you are the one who is going to have to live with it and not me. I do believe the use of the vulgar word also shows lack of love.

I do not hate anyone. I just want you to realize that you are not getting anywhere by condemning other people and telling them that they are on their way to hell. I remember in one post back then that you told one person that you are not going to pray for them anymore which that is very unloving and hateful. I am Catholic myself and so is my family. That is how my mom and dad raised me and I am happy with it. I never personally tell anyone that their beliefs are wrong and I never tell anyone that their beliefs will land them in hell since I know me myself is a sinner as well too. By the attitude I saw, you seem like you consider yourself picture perfect and sinless. To be honest, If I didn't know Jesus and I was an atheist and I saw this, I would be "I'm glad I'm not part of a club that judges people or makes blanket assumptions about a person"

The bottom line is there is only one without sin and that is Jesus. Only Jesus Christ has the moral authority to judge other people.

What I post is my business. If you don't like them don't open them up and read them. How's that do you?

Why are you here on a Christian site if you don't want to hear Christians.

I have spoken the truth as the bible teaches. You are lost and blind plus deaf. I didn't cause your condition.

This is an example of being judgmental. You have no right to tell a person that they are lost and are going to hell plus you do not know everyone's heart and mind. Plus if you want it only to be your business, then do not post it where the entire public can see it. Post it somewhere where only you and the people you choose can see it. Posting it on here makes it public domain.

Actually, there's quite a few who do care. And you keep insisting that we believe things that are simply not true. And despite having the proof pointed out to you over and over again, you keep insisting that we believe things that are not true. You ask for Scriptures, we give them to you. You then claim that since they're from the "Catholic Bible" you won't read them. So we offer to post the same verses from any version of the Bible you prefer, and you ignore us.

We're not the ones teaching falsehood. We can support all our views from Scripture and historical writings. You simply don't agree with our interpretation of Scripture.

most who have to believe they are better then others don't agree with a lot of key points in scripture. How else will they justify how THEY save and ignore that the Bible says GOD SAVES and all are sinners in need of repentance.

As for false churches.... well I don't judge churches and I don't judge people. I look at people's actions and words and say if they are living and speaking according to what God tells us we should. I start with my life and then look at those around me. If they reject listening to my words that is their choice.

To say everyone who is Catholic is evil and deluded is like saying everyone in your church is perfect both are false statements.

However the comments reveal the heart of the speaker and it saddens me that such darkness lives within one confessing to be Christian.

I think I'll move on to the next thread where the focus is on GOD and not on hating and insulting other people.

I read through most of the thread and wonder to myself what was trying to be accomplished here. I didn't think the first post was any good at all because it was full of opinions with nothing to back it up.

The thing about loveschild is her unwillingness to admit error and that by the way she acts, she thinks she is "holier than thou" and she considers herself aimless. She goes around condemning those who do not fit her circle of beliefs. I believe we should pray for her that God will convict her for this attitude and that God will show her how to be loving and humble.

To me, and to many others, age helps verify reliability. But we're obviously at opposite ends of the Christian spectrum .

Christianity, or Followers of The Way, is older than Catholicism.

More like the bearers of light dispelling the darkness.
Light?? Give the "un-churched" a rosary and a scapular and expect them to take the Cross seriously?? Expect them to read Paul saying "one Mediator" and Jesus teaching about going to God through Him and nobody else... THEN to have them pray TO a patron "saint" for anything.

No. Your "light" is a Bug Zapper: looks really pretty to them but kills them in the end.

Sorry, but your "Catholic Chat" is not on this site.

What about the Roman Catholic religion and

her daughters?

I asked myself this question when I learned who the Great Whore was

(See Chapter 7). What could possibly be so bad that a term like that is

used to describe her?

And didn't the "daughters" (Protestant, Methodist, Lutheran, etc.)

actually drop away from the Catholic church because they disagreed

with the Vatican?

The Roman Catholic church was founded around 325 AD. They taught

(falsely), and still do, that the Bishops of the church were "spiritual

successors" to the original 12 apostles, in particular the Apostle Peter,

and that they had the right to discern true or false doctrine. At that

time, they changed the baptism taught by Jesus and His apostles,

including Peter, and they indoctrinated a false concept called the

"trinity" that had been invented around 200 AD but was never taught

by Jesus or the Apostles, or taught anywhere in the bible. They even

attempt to deify the mother of Jesus. It's true that Mary was blessed to

carry and give birth to Jesus, but she was simply a Jewish woman, not

a God. They made it a crime punishable by death to attempt to actually

read the bible for yourself and/or contradict the Roman Catholic church

during the Dark Ages, and they have killed an estimated 68 million

Christians over the years for refusing to bow to the false doctrine of the

Roman Catholic church.

The following is a quote from a man who was raised in the Catholic

church but left the church as an adult to pursue the real Truth.

On the question of salvation; "Unfortunately most Roman Catholics

really don't know for sure what Rome's answers are. Most have a vague

idea of a place called 'Purgatory.' They wander through life with an

unfounded belief that, if their 'good works' outweigh their 'sins' then

they get a ticket to heaven. Others believe that just being a Roman

Catholic is all that is required to get to Heaven. Well, not directly to

Heaven, but by way of an untold period of time in unmentionable pain

and suffering in Purgatory. Its not a pretty picture of salvation. Not at

all. One of the saddest laments of a priest friend (Novus Ordo type) is

that Catholics no longer know their own faith!"

Let's take a look at what the Catholic believer has to do today in order

to "receive" salvation.

The Vatican teaches that salvation is through the church.

According to the Catholic church you must do all of the following in

order to receive salvation:

  • Confess your sins to a Roman Catholic priest.
  • "Receive" all appropriate Roman Catholic sacraments.

  • Believe that Grace comes only via Rome's sacraments, and only
  • through Mary.

  • Buy or earn as many indulgences as possible so as to avoid
  • Purgatory.
  • Believe that Grace can only be distributed to you by Mary.
  • Attend the Roman Catholic Mass on all Sundays and holy days.
  • Obey all of Rome's rules (i.e., precepts of the Church).
  • Be a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
  • Submit yourself to the Pope.
The bible teaches that you must believe in Jesus and obey the

Gospel for salvation, and that it's by the grace of God, not

Mary or Rome, that we are saved. All of the above only make

you subservient to the Roman Catholic church and do not

ensure your place with God at all.

But, the Roman Catholic leaders today are even saying that

you don’t really need to believe in Jesus Christ to be saved!

Article #841 of the Catechism says: "The Church's relationship with the

Muslims
. 'The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge

the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these

profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore

the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day.'" This means

that the Catholic church believes that the Muslims will be saved just like

anyone else even though Muslims don't believe in Jesus, and that they

worship the same God that we all do even though Allah was originally

a pagan moon god.

Muslims say you don’t need to believe in Jesus Christ to be saved!

Muslims will admit that Jesus Christ was a true prophet, but deny that

He was the Messiah (although some Western Muslims will say He was

anointed), they will deny that He was God manifested in the flesh as of

the Son of God (John 1:14), and they will deny that He died on the

cross and rose again. That belief cannot be truth because Jesus Christ

himself said He was the Messiah! John 4:26 Jesus saith unto her, I that

speak unto thee am he.
That would make Him a false prophet

according to the Muslim beliefs! And, Jesus Christ himself said we have

to believe in Him! John 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die

in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

We absolutely must believe that Jesus Christ was manifest in the flesh,

was crucified for our sins and rose again. This is the gospel! Acts 4:12

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name

under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
There is

no salvation in any other name but Jesus! Not Mohammed, not

Buddha; no other name...

Does the Catholic leadership read the same bible I do??? Sure doesn't

look like it! No wonder God is angry with her...

Dear Loveschild: The Holy Trinity is not a concept. And is not false.

The Holy Trinity is God, One God in Three Persons (Matt. 28:19, 1

John 5:7, cf. Gen. 1:26). As for Roman Catholicism and its Protestant

sons or daughters, they are most of them or all of them Augustinian.

Luther said the Pope of Rome was the Antichrist. And Luther tried

to "reform" the Antichrist's Church. When you try to reform an (or the)

Antichrist, all you end up with is a "Reformed Antichrist", and not

the Church founded by JESUS CHRIST.

For more on the connection between Lutheranism (Protestantism)

and Romanism, see: THE CHRISTIAN ACTIVIST: A JOURNAL OF

ORTHODOX OPINION, Volume 13, Winter/Spring, 1999, James

Buchfuehrer, Publisher, Frank Schaeffer, Editor. PO Box 740, Mt.

Hermon, CA 95041 ?????????? I believe this newspaper is no

longer being published at this address, but it may be available online.

I'm not sure. See this edition of TCA, "THE REIGN OF AUGUSTINE",

That's the thing, we wouldn't have an issue if you spoke the truth. But you haven't. You are either unwittingly reprinting lies about the Catholic Church or doing it on purpose. Either way it's still something quite sad.
the crusades and witch burnings and inqusition and many more done in the name of Jesus are quite sad

'Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.
Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

The Bible tells us that Satan, the devil, “deceives the whole world.” (Revelation 12:9).

the RCC was the most powerfull religion who acted as the wolf in sheepscloathing :
During the Dark Ages the Catholic Church slaughtered over 150 million Christians, and this is never mentioned today! The world has almost completely forgotten the many millions of people who were burned at the stake by the papacy because they wanted to worship God according to the Bible.

and they worshiped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? rev 13.4

the fruits of RCC ; witch burnings, torture etc.
when did Jesus spoke of witches?

"Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves
You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Matt 7.15

The Beast is now wounded, but his wound will be healed, lets us prepare for when that day come.

I love how the Catholic Church is somehow able to slaughter more people than actually were alive in Europe at the time. That said, isn't this thread something like 8 or 9 months old? Why did it get resurrected?

it would be helpful to see a source for that number...but i assume the 150 million are supposed to be spread over the entire 'dark ages' which lasted for a few hundred years...i don't think they were trying to say 150 million people were killed in a single event...

i have noticed a lot of old threads coming back...i don't know why people are doing that...

.

Can we just jump off the bandwagon of comparative statistics? Catholics killed the most, Protestants second, and Orthodox third. There shouldn't be any killing in the name of Christ by any Christian. I am sorry the Russian Orthodox Church in the 17th century burned at the stake the Old Believers, and that some of the Old Believers burned themselves to death and committed suicide because they believed Tsar Peter ("the Great"?) was the Antichrist, and the end of the world was at hand.
God save us all from religious bigotry.
