For anyone who loves Jim Henson's creations (Sesame Street, The Muppets), he had a darker side.

This movie freaked me out when I saw it as a kid:

Top pic: I'm loving the lawn chairs and 'Little Playmate' coolers

Middle pic: Very serious and studious. Why didn't you get the 'Laser' background? (Great Halloween costume idea...had to use this pic)

Bottom pic: What does 7up have to do with the Thespian Society? Is that supposed to be a chipmunk in the front?

For anyone who loved the Dungeons & Dragons cartoon as much as I did, my favorite writer on the show (Michael Reeves), who, in my opinion, wrote the best episodes, actually wrote a final episode that was never produced.

It was meant to be a segue way into a 3rd season but was never picked up. I had read that the ratings were still good, but the main reason for the cancellation was cost and controversy over the game.

Dedicated fans drew a comic book of this final episode. You can find transcripts and readings in English on various sites (one reading is particularly cool because Katie Leigh, who voiced Sheila and is a very well-known voice actress, read the part voluntarily.)

This link is in Spanish but I'm including it because if you skip to the end (or if you know Spanish and will understand it all :)), there are some amazing fan art clips of one person's vision of the kids when they're grown up.

And yes. I still want to marry Hank. Just like I wanted to when the original cartoon aired. (I know Sheila was technically his girlfriend but I was almost hoping for a breakup in "The Traitor" episode.) :p

And... yes again. I am a total nerd when it comes to certain things I become obsessed with! :)

Didn't have a laser backgroud option for my senior pic. All of my senior pic favorites were serious faces... funny, right? But it's the only one I have electronically - I think there were 3 that we had printed. Hahaha.

The 7-up had something to do with the Homecoming theme, which for the life of me I cannot recall. The 'chipmunk' was a leprechaun. We were the Fighting Irish (the town was founded by Irish immigrants.)

Something about seeing The Dark Crystal (than you, Kim!) reminded me of Willow.

Mia, may I ask, how did you come to like things of the 80's anyway?

I'm really curious because I can admit that I was NEVER interested in the things from, let's say, the 60's or 70's, which were the previous generations before me...

However, my Grandpa's favorite era was the 1940's and so I really like some of the fashions, cars (he grew up watching the transition from horse-drawn buggies to "horseless carriages" for the first time), and music from that era.

Thank you for this thread. It's really made me smile. :)

Would you dance with me if I asked? You can be all dorky if you want (just stay in time). Dancing is just exercising to music... right? That'd be fun.

If I had it, I would pay good money to see NukePooch dance.

And even more if you could get him to wear a tux.

*Swoons at opening post.*

A-ha's "Take On Me." Best. Video. Ever. What girl wouldn't want some cute guy to climb out of a comic book to be with her? When I was 9 years old, I wanted to marry the lead singer. And if you look at photos of him today, he's still smokin' hot. Even though they never hit it big again in the States, I collected several of their (tapes.)

And to me, this is the ONLY Superman:

Christopher Reeve.

Those eyes.

Enough said. *sigh*
SeoulSearch: I wanted to marry the bassist from Ratt...your statement brought it all back. Although Im a little frightened and relieved God didnt answer that prayer!!

Nuh-uh. Gotta respect those shy ones. I might go up to the sound booth/dj table and dance with him.

And who said anything about tuxes? Suits are FAR too hot for dancing. Hawaiian shirts though maybe. That'd be fun.

Well, I have been in two tux. Twux? Both times I stood up in weddings. First for my older bro, then my friend Jon. There's pics somewhere...thought I had posted them on CC, but it turns out I just talked about it.

However...dancing? Nope. Never. I've got a bit-of-a-thing about dancing. (bit-of-a-thing = full-blown-phobia)

Hawaiian shirt, though? I used to rock some Hawaiian shirts...I had a whole collection! One of my favorites was this one:

Hmmm...and yet I'm still single?
