God used even a donkey to teach a man His truths.

So the use as such does not authorize the lasting position for a church's leadership :)
I think donkeys would do a lot less harm than a lot of ministers though...let us bray

We must not only seek God's answers to a question directly, but we must let the Holy Spirit lead us in the question. In this case let me ask: Has a woman a lesser role of being an Ambassador of Jesus Christ? "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God." ( 2 Cor. 5:20).....Now, thru prayer, what does the Spirit testify to your Spirit? Or/and what questions now come to mind? God will have us think, and harder than most realize, but He will never have us think based on our own intentions and prejudices. Self, is a thing of the past, our New Creation, is all things yet considered in Christ.

Uh..o.,,,

I just want to interject that this thread is about ME and if anyone wants to fight, it should be with ME and not each other.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Again, it's all about Me.

Lol okay back to being serious.

I will give you quotes from the book and y'all can give me feedback.

Page. 17
"The United Methodist church holds that servant leadership is at the heart of ministry and leadership, and that God's call to ministry is responded to by an individual, but confirmed by the Church community. Those responding to a call to ministry (whether lay, licensed, or ordained) must embody Christ's teaching and demonstrate their gifts for ministry and promise for future usefulness."

A servant leader makes "sure that other people's highest priority needs are being served. The best test is: do those served grow as persons, do they, while being served, become healthier, wiser freer, more autonomous."

It talks about those who see themselves as servants leading how to lead and those who see themselves as leaders learning how to serve.

Wow, what a complicated way how to see things.

Lol, yeah. Half way through this thread I realised I needed help figuring out some things the book was talking about.

Licensed and Ordained Ministry
* chaplains and pastoral counselors, who serve in specialized ministries of counseling
* deacons, who lead the Church in the servanthood to which every Christian is called, relating the congregations life of the church to their ministries of compassion and justice in the world.
*elders, who lead the Church in preaching, the sacraments, administration, and ordering the life of the church for mission
*local pastor, who provide pastoral leadership in local congregations under the authority of a license for pastoral ministry.

Currently in my life i could easily do this one:

* Lay servant ministries, which gives assistance and support to program emphases of the Church

I am going to pray about the rest and if I feel that God is truly calling me, take that next step.

I think its quite difficult for us who are not methodists to discuss some internal document or book about this topic from the methodist church... It is apparently quite a complex internal order of this specific church and we do not know it.

True, I will make an appointment to discuss with the pastor next week if he has time.

Anyway thanks all for your insights and time.

May God bless and keep you. May His light shine through your hearts to give hope and peace to a world living in darkness. May they by your outpouring love be drawn closer to our Heavenly Father.

I never was out to prove Pastorship, that's not the question of this thread. As was stated in sentence one of my text pastor duties were not subjugated by the tyranny of man's ordinances, but were exampled in the meaning of the word Pastor: Shepherding. The trouble we have in many of these threads is that we, as individuals, seek God to answer our questions, instead of seeking God's answers;questions not withstanding. In so doing we are living by the flesh and not by the spirit of God. My biblical account was to answer the question: "Biblically has God ever used a woman to teach men His truths?" You have become presumptuous of both my intentions, and the question in the thread. The issue is "What Lord, do You want to share with the thread author?"

Yes you are right, the thread topic is not about Pastor, but the OP question is about woman Pastor ( post 1) So my concern was to answer her question. So far there aregularly 2 different topics.
Also I see auf different between telling others what God said. And teaching Gods word.

What is the difference between telling and teaching?

They seem the same to me, in that you can tell folks anything but for them to learn the truth of the Bible, the Holy Spirit has to give them wisdom to see and live His truth.

So what is different from teaching and telling?

:D To tell the soldiers the false information (in the case of Rahab) is the same as teaching in the Church?

Oh please... this thread is becoming to look desperate :D

???sorry missed that

Telling the soldiers false information isn't the same as telling the gospel, so don't know how that ties into the thread at all.

I was asking is there a difference between telling the gospel like evangelist do. Or telling people a word of knowledge like prophets and prophetess do and teaching?

I guess teaching would involve explaining the Bible and what it means in our daily life?
