I don't like talking in church and I am usually as quite as a church mouse there, but sometimes I have felt the Lord urge me to testify about some experience or something that I have went through in life. I really am shy in church and have a hard time making myself do it...but afterwards, I have people come up to me and tell me that my testimony really helped them because they were going through something similar and they needed the encouragement.
I don't testify very often, only when I feel the Lord urging me to do so. I'm not shy in public, but I have a hard time speaking in church. People from church with have told me that if I don't testify when the Lord moves on me to do so, then I am sinning because I am not being obedient to God.
So I am just curious as to what you think about this...Do you think that it is wrong for a woman to testify in church, even if it helps to encourage someone else?

I will also admit that I'm not sure how "authority" and "equal status" work hand in hand. Or what that has to do with him being "secure". I think of feminism, because the notion that men want to control women because they are not secure, is a psychological notion of the feminists.

The bible is pretty clear on this matter, everyone knows the different verses that apply. The veil physical has disappeared in North America for the most part as well as dress codes in some cases.
The majority of the churches in Europe still use the veil from my understanding. I lived in Rome for a year and I can say that for 99% of them. They just obey scripture on that point and that custom is followed by the churches there.
I guess I can add .....in the end it's a women's responsibility before God how she'll respond to those verses...but the church has had its part in this.

No,I dont believe in Illuminati, but I do believe there are those behind the scenes in America pushing the agenda of socialism/communism. I watched a documentary not long ago that confirms this even more to me and opened my eyes to a lot of things.To your second point I believe I understand,you do not watch tv. if Im wrong there let me know.
I'll state again ,100% against abortion. Both are sins before God. I still support missions putting their life on the line to spread the Gospel. Many talk about the ills of society,few do anything about it.

I am just talking about the rules that the Bible provides for us. Which says that women are to have their head covered, that they should have long hair (if possible, clearly)...long hair looks nice. Some people think makeup looks nice, though the Bible only suggests that it is bad. So I'm not sure I'm following you.

Every church I have ever been to has testimony time after the preaching while the service is still going on, and everyone is encouraged to testify. Some places I have been to they will even call your name out if you don't testify. They say that everyone in church has something to do and no one should be coming there to just sit on the pews....They use that scripture about the body of Christ to say that we all got something to do while there, and that we all have something to be thankful for so we all should have a testimony.

You should read that book by Robison..I think it is 1792 or 1798 that it was published. It is on the internet...and then decide whether or not to believe. As regards abortion, forgive me if I take offense in the "both are sins" business. That is used (by others) to equivalate homosexuality to other sins. Sodom and Gomorrah proved that although any sin will separate from God, some are WORSE. Abortion is worse than the other stuff.
As far as TV is concerned, I think modern television cannot be tolerated in any sense by Christians. I have no TV in my home. I have seen old movies and stuff, used to think they were OK...I still think they CAN be OK..but my study of them has proven that the communists were in there even in the old days. I would not say that someone who watched old TV shows cannot be a Christian, however, I know for a fact that even the old stuff is intentionally stuffed with subversive themes. And if I am at someone else's house and they are watching old TV, it becomes increasingly obvious what those themes are. And yet others don't even notice or think it is wholesome.

Modern Hollywood is so loathsome that a Christian cannot choose to let it into their eyes and ears. The language, the debased women (how do feminists put up with it?) the Lord's name in vain constantly (on purpose)..
The violence..shooting people is now "G" rated.. I saw some TNT or something when I was in a pizza place, heads being shot and blood shooting out.. It is just not tolerable for decent people to choose to watch that stuff.
I just say..trust me..if it is not an addiction, turn it off for just 6 months. When you go back to it, you will be shocked. If you stop watching it entirely for a couple of years, I guarantee that it will make you want to vomit when it turns back on. You will feel sick to your soul. Hollywood is controlled by those who use every means possible..psychologists, mainly, to convert the country to a godless commie hades.
