Hello brother LGF, you keep saying love God mean do His command, What is command mean?
If God ask you to do something, mean God command you. This is one of His command Numbers 15; 35 And the Lord said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp. Do you love God? love God mean do His command why don't you kill sabbath violator? To prove that you love God
Which part of patiently asking why people are preaching that you must keep one part of the Law while breaking another part makes you sure that Jackson "has a lot of trouble obeying and following God" ?
You have both been shown through the scripture many times that; We are not living in the OLD Covenant under the CIVIL laws of Israel; yet you refuse to BELIEVE the Word of God. It is ok my friend it is now on your own head to work out your own salvation between you and God. I cannot help you any further because you do not BELIEVE God's Word. This is sad for you. Unless you REPENT and BELIEVE the Gospel you will be LOST. SIN will keep all who practice it OUT of God's KINGDOM.

In the NEW COVENANT.........

As a Christian do you BELIEVE that you are now free to commit Adultery and you will be saved?

As a Christian do you BELIEVE that you are now free to Steal and you will be saved?

As a Christian do you BELIEVE that you are now free to Murder and you will be saved?

As a Christian do you BELIEVE that you are now free to dishonor your parents and you will be saved?

As a Christian do you BELIEVE that you are now free to use God's name in vain and you will be saved?

As a Christian do you BELIEVE that you are now free to serve other God's and you will be saved?

As a Christian do you BELIEVE that you are now free to covet your neighbores belongings and you will be saved?

As a Christian do you BELIEVE that you are now free to tell lies and you will be saved?

As a Christian do you BELIEVE that you are now free to make idols of the things of the world and you will be saved?

Now most of these under the CIVIL laws of Israel required a death penalty in the Old Covenant because as God's Word teached the WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH (Romans 6:23). We are living in the NEW Covenant today and the WAGES of SIN IS STILL DEATH if we CONTINUE IN SIN (Hebrew 10:26-27; Romans 6:23) because those who continue in KNOWN SIN reject the GIFT of God's dear son.

We are not living in the OLD Covenant of the CIVIL laws of ISRAEL my friend but the WAGES of SIN is still death to the violator if they CONTINUE in SIN in the NEW Covenant but this will take place at the 2nd coming and will be God's Work.

Be careful my friend, SIN will keep all who practice it OUT of God's Kingdom. You have been warned. Your salvation is now between you and God as his Word has been shared with you.

..........

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

Numbers 15
35 And the Lord said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.

i still haven't had an answer to my question either.

the great and learned Studyman has taught me that when Paul says "let no one judge you with regard to observing new moon festivals, feasts and sabbath days" what Paul actually means is "judge one another with regard to their failure to observe new moon festivals, feasts and sabbath days" -- and that the obvious problem with how poorly this interpretation actually fits the text is that "the Pharisees made up their own sacred days and that's what you shouldn't judge one another over"

the problem here is that there's not really any way to "make up your own new moon" -- there's one obvious new moon in the sky. God put it there. you can't say when the moon is 1/4 that "oh, this will be called new moon now, we made it up and you must observe it"

so the new moon. Rosh Chodesh. the scripture tells the Israelites to observe it.
reading through the thread, if i believe what is written, i am in danger of eternal hellfire and damnation if i don't observe the new moon. doesn't matter that Christ died for me, i'm condemned anyway unless i don't worship God on sundays, don't .. do something undefined ((because we threw out all the Law except Exodus 20, well most of Exodus 20 too, but not the SACRED TEN part just all the rest of it)) .. something still undefined i don't do on saturdays, keep the actual feasts ((not Chanukah)), and observe the new moon festival.

my question, unanswered for at least two new moons now, is what am i supposed to do to avoid death and hell on the new moon? obviously believing in the all-sufficient sacrifice and atonement of Christ's blood is not enough ((according to what this thread teaches))

will someone please tell me how to observe the new moon festival? it's not like i want to go to hell. previously i thought Christ was enough to save me, then i read this thread..

can no one help?
who will save me from this body of death?

Why you not cooking oN sabbath?
Yes indeed because it is working on the Sabbath. You do not respond to the posts and scriptures I send you but ignore them it is ok maybe you can pray about it at home.

It is ok my friend your salvation is between you and God now. I have tried to share God's Word with you but you do not respond to my posts and the scriptures but simply ignore them or reply to the scriptures in them. How can we have a discussion if you keep saying the same thing over and over that I have already responded to?

If you do not agree with what I have posted you can respond to my post with scripture and say why you do not agree but you do not. You simply ignore the posts I send to you. It is ok my friend you are free to believe and do whatever you like. You are not accountable to me come judgement day. I have only tried to help you.

So we will have to agree to disagree. I have fulfilled my duty of LOVE towards you to WARN you that if you continue in SIN you will not see God's Kingdom.

It is up to you now to choose to BELIEVE God's Word or NOT Believe God's Word. I do not judge you because it is written............

John 12
47,
And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
48, He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

It is now between you and God to work out your own salvation my friend. I will pray for you.

you quoted 1st John 2 about command keeping. yet, as always, you fail to keep reading. in chapter 3 of the same letter, John says that the commands are to believe on the name of the Son and love one another. no Sabbath mentioned. so, it is safe to say that John the Beloved , a jewish man who knew all about the Sabbath, intended to say Sabbath there, he would have.
Well that once again has no truth in it whatsoever. Let's look at the scripture you quote and what you are saying....

Firstly you try and say God's LAW (10 Commandments) are no longer required and all we need to do is to BELIEVE on the name of Jesus and to love one another. I agree and have no problem with this scripture. You are referring to 1 John 3:23 which says...

1 John 3
23,
And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

Now question time...

What does it mean to BELIEVE on the NAME of Jesus and to LOVE one another.........

Jesus is the Word of God (John 1:1-14) his name is Jesus because he will save his people from their SINS (Matt 1:21)

So to BELIEVE means to BELIEVE and FOLLOW all the Word of God BELIEVING that it is the WORD of GOD that saves us. The CONTEXT of this scripture however is SIN which is spoken of in 1 John 2:3-4 and continues in 1 John 3:3-15

How does God's Word define SIN...........

James 2
8, If ye fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well:
9, But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
10, For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, YOU ARE BECOME A TRANSGRESSOR OF GOD'S LAW
James is pretty clear if we brake ANY of God's Law (10 commandments) then we are a TRANSGRESSOR of God's LAW

links to...........

1 John 3
4 Whosoever commits SIN transgresses also the law: for SIN is the transgression of the law.
John is in agreement with James and states that if we TRANSGRESS God's LAW then we commit SIN because SIN IS THE TRANSGRESSION OF GOD'S LAW. So it is very clear that SIN is breaking ANY of God's LAW (10 commandments)
Links to...........

Romans 7

7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known SIN, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

Well here we have Paul in agreement with James and John also telling us that SIN is breaking God's commandments and uses the 10th commandment as an example of breaking any of God's LAW (10 commandments) = SIN (Exodus 20:17)

Links to............

Romans 3

20, Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: FOR BY THE LAW IS THE KNOWLEDGE OF SIN.
Once again Paul is in agreement with John and James which all agree together that if we break any of God's LAW (10 commandments) we commit SIN because as James, John and Paul all agree together that SIN is breaking ANY of God's 10 commandments.

God's Word is in disagreement with you my friend. SIN is the transgression of God's LAW (10 commandments)

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) and like any of the ten, if we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

There is not one scripture in ALL of God's WORD that says God's 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to worship God on Sunday in it's place.

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

....................

God's Word says SIN in breaking God's LAW; Now that we have the definition of Sin from God’s WORD let’s connect some of the scriptures…..

1 John 3
3,
And every man that hath this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
4, Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for SIN IS THE TRANSGRESSION OF GOD'S LAW.
5, And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6, Whosoever abides in him
SIN<breaks God's LAW> not: whosoever SIN<breaks God's LAW> hath not seen him, neither known him.
7, Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous
<Psalms 119:172 All your commandments = RIGHTEOUSNESS>.
8, He that commits
SIN<breaks God's LAW> is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9, Whosoever is born of God DOES NOT commit
SIN<breaks God's LAW>; for his seed remains in him: and he cannot SIN<breaks God's LAW>, because he is born of God.
10, In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother.
11, For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
12, Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
13, Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
14, We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loves not his brother abides in death.
15, Whosoever hates his brother is a
murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

Some key points..........

v4.
SIN = Breaking God's Commandments
v6. Those who knowingly break God's commandments do not know God
v7. Don't be DECEIVED only those who DO NOT break God's commandments are is RIGHTEOUS as HE IS RIGHTEOUS
v8. If you are living in a life of KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN you are following the DEVIL and not GOD (Acts 17:30-31; Heb 10:26:27)
v9. If you are BORN OF GOD you will NOT practice SIN
v10. LOVE AND OBEDIENCE to GOD'S LAW SHOW WHO ARE GOD'S PEOPLE and DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD'S LAW SHOW THE CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL
v15. Example of the 7th commandment (Exodus 20: 13) being broken. Those who brake God's LAW and SIN DO NOT have ETERNAL LIFE

Links to what Jesus says in Matthew..............

Matthew 7
21,
Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; BUT HE THE DOES THE WILL OF MY FATHER IN HEAVEN <FAITH THAT WORKS BY Love and OBEDIENCE>
22, Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23, And then will I profess unto them, I NEVER KNEW YOU <1 John 3:6 = has not seen him or known him because they break God's LAW and practice SIN>: DEPART FROM ME YOU WHO WORK INIQUITY (SIN)

Now all of the above is the CONTEXT of 1 John 3:23-24 which is to love one another. Now lets look at LOVE and how it links to FAITH and OBEDIENCE.

LOVE IS THE FULFILLING OF GOD’S LAW

You cannot separate God’s Law of love from the 10 commandments because they are connected to each other. There is no need for confusion here. God’s Word makes it very clear.

Let's have a look................................................

What does Jesus say when he talk about the commandments. Jesus is quoting from Old testament scriptures of Deuteronomy 6:5 and Leviticus 19:18.................

Matthew 22
36, Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37, Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38, This is the first and great commandment.
39, And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
40, ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS HANG ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS.

Let's get clearer......................................................

Matthew 19
16, And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
17, And he said unto him, Why call thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: BUT IF YOU WILL ENTER INTO LIFE KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS.
18, He saith unto him, WHICH? JESUS SAID, THOU SHALT NOT MURDER, THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, THOU SHALT NOT STEAL, THOU SHALT NOT LIE, HONOR YOU MOTHER AND FATHER AND THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF
20, The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? 21, Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. <Jesus showed him that he may have fulfilled His duty of love to his neighbor but not to God breaking commandment 1 and 2 loving riches more than God>

Well Jesus makes it very clear that what he is talking about it is the 10 commandments of God's Law.

What about James................................................................

James 2
8, If ye fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF, ye do well:
9, But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
10, FOR WHOSOEVER SHALL KEEP THE WHOLE LAW AND YET OFFEND IN ONE POINT, HE SHALL BE GUILTY OF ALL.
11, FOR HE THAT SAID, DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY SAID ALSO DO NOT KILL. NOW IF YOU DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY AND YOU KILL, YOU HAVE BECOME A TRANSGRESSOR OF GOD'S LAW.

12, So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

Well James makes it very clear what he is talking about when he talks about the Royal Law of love. He is talking about the 10 commandments. So Jesus and James both agree that they are talking about God's 10 commandments which also include the 4th commandment which is one of the ten.

What about Paul? He wrote a lot of books in God's Word...........................

Romans 13
8, Owe no man anything, but to LOVE ONE ANOTHER: for HE THAT LOVES ANOTHER HAS FULFILLED THE LAW.
9, For this, THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, THOU SHALT NOT KILL, THOU SHALT NOT STEAL, THOU SHALT NOT LIE, THOU SHALT NOT COVET; and IF THERE SHALL BE ANY OTHER COMMANDMENT, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF.
10, Love works no ill to his neighbor: therefore LOVE IS THE FULFILLING OF THE LAW.

Paul makes it very clear what he is talking about as well when he is talking about God's Law. It seems like Jesus, James and Paul all agree together what it is they are referring to when talking about God's Law. They are all referring to God's 10 commandments which includes the 4th commandment which is one of the ten (Exodus 20:1-17)

So now that God's Word shows us what it is referring to. No need to guess, what are talking about, God’s Law of Love is God's 10 commandments. It is only through Faith that works by love that anyone can walk in the Spirit which produces the fruit of obedience because love is the fulfilling of God’s Law in those that walk by faith and not by sight.

Now let's look at the CONTEXT of the scripture you quoted from 1 John 3:22. Lovely scripture by the way.

1 John 3:22
23,
And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and LOVE ONE ANOTHER, as he gave us commandment.

Now as we have seen above God's LAW (10 commandments) through LOVE is the fulfillment of God's LAW who have FAITH. Now is that the same for this scripture here in John?

Let's look at the CONTEXT of 1 John 3:23...............

1 John 3
3, And every man that hath this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
4, Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
5, And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6, Whosoever abides in him sins not: whosoever sins hath not seen him, neither known him.
7, Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8, He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9, Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
15, Whosoever hates his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

So it looks like Jesus, James, Paul and John all agree together so it is unanimous that God's Law (10 commandments) are all tied to LOVE which is the power of God unto salvation through Faith. The FRUIT of FAITH is OBEDIENCE and the fulfilling of God's LAW in the hearts of those who walk by FAITH in the SPIRIT (Romans 8:1-4)

So my friend the FRUIT of FAITH is OBEDIENCE to God's LAW (10 commandments) If you have no FRUIT then you need to be aware that your tree will be CUT DOWN. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God (Hebrews 10:26-27; 31)

DISAGREE? Please state your case and use God's Word. It is only on the Word of God we stand or fall. It looks like you have fallen. Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE and follow him who LOVES us.

..........

God's 4th Commandment is one of the 10 Commandments (Exodus 20:8-11). If we break any of God’s Laws we stand guilty before God in SIN (James 2:11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4; Romans 3:20). This includes the 4th commandment which is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11)

Well this again has no truth in it whatsoever. I have only shared scripture and answered all questions with scirpture. Do you want me to pull up the posts again that show what your saying is a lie? Just let me know I have already done this and know where the posts are and you still have not apologised for doing this earlier.

There has been improvement, then. He has said in the past that nobody reads the Bible. He used to also say that it was against the law/breaking a commandment of God to worship on Sunday. You cannot make ridiculously false statements like that without being called out on them.

Well that is disappointing Magneta are you bearing false witness now? Please post where I have ever said "nobody reads the bible". Also where have I ever said "you cannot worship God on any day of the week?" Indeed you now only spread lies because you know you cannot respond to the scriptures that disagree with you. These will be your witness come judgement day.

Unless you BELIEVE and FOLLOW the Word of God how can you see the Kingdom of Heaven? Only God's Word is true my friend and we should believe and follow him who loves us. Your salvation is now between you and God because you reject his Word, the Word will be your judge as it will be for all of us come judgement day. SIN will keep all who practice it our of God's KINGDOM.

...........

Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?
you say only God word is true, I agree

is this God word

Numbers 15
35 And the Lord said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.

I will pray for you.

........

Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?
you show me the verse last time why you not cooking oN sabbath, This verse, and you say this verse is mosaic law not valid anymore

[h=1]Exodus 35:3King James Version (KJV)[/h]3 Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day.

Funny how he's more than happy to keep telling you that you are going to hell no matter what Jesus has done for you, no matter what faith you have, because he tells you you are condemned by the burden of law -- but he won't lift a finger to help you
How good that Jesus Christ has accomplished an actual and effective salvation for you!
Right? Because otherwise you might be condemned to hell under the Law!
SIN will keep all who KNOWINGLY practice it out of God's Kingdom my friend. IF you are practicing SIN you do not KNOW him and need to be Born again or you cannot see the KINGDOM of Heaven.

...........

[FONT=&quot]In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30-31). God's Word says if we break one of the ten we stand guilty before God of breaking all the commandments of God (James 2:8-12). God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) and if we break it like any of the other commandments we stand guilty before God of SIN (Exodus 20:1-17).

If we break any of God’s Laws we stand guilty before God in SIN (James 2:11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4; Romans 3:20). This includes the 4th commandment which is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Hello Jackson no I did not say what you think I said above. I said so in relation to your claim about the death penalty should be practiced in the CIVIL laws of Israel if you believe in the 10 Commandments, where I disagreed with you stating it was part of the CIVIL laws of Israel in the Old Covenant and further stated we are not living in Israel and we are living in the NEW Covenant and not the OLD.

I said the death penalty under the CIVIL LAWS of Israel are no longer for us because we are not living in Israel under the Old covenant.

I responded to your question about cooking on the Sabbath by referring you to Exodus 20:8-11 which is God's 4th Commandments that says no work is to be done on the Sabbath because it is a Holy day. All preparation is to be done before God's Sabbath starts this is to include cooking for which I quoted you Exodus 16:22-27 and Exodus 35:3.

For some reason you seem to be stuck in the Old Covenant in the CIVIL laws of Israel. For which I have tried to help you by posting scriptures in the following posts. Please see again....

let see this verse closely

Exodus 35:3King James Version (KJV)

3 Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day.

1. Ye shall kindle no fire,

you not change the word don't you? Not only cooking kindle fire.

And this verse still valid for you.

Do you ever kindle Candle oN sabbath?

2. What is the reason you think killing sabbath violator is Israel civil law and not God command, while not kindle fire is the God command?

Yep he keep Some of God command, not cook in sabbath

but he not keep this command

numbers 15

35 And the Lord said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.
I will ask you again if you are willing to come to the NT for NEW learning from JESUS ?
Does HE teach about the 'letter of the old law or does He teach about a NEW understanding of grace, pardon, forgiveness, compassion, LOVE ?
Please also remember that 'All authority has been given JESUS in heaven and in earth....for HE must reign till He has put all enemies under his feet !!! 1Cor 15v25. Also please remember that I am NOT SDA and do not answer for LGF.
The reason I don't spend much time cooking on the Sabbath is because it takes up precious time spent with God on His Holy day...and I don't want to be DISobedient on purpose. I also don't kill violaters because that is not what JESUS teaches....HE tells us to be kind, patient, compassionate and teach TRUTH as required by scripture...the Word of GOD ! It has nothing to do with Moses or SDA - but what GOD wants !!!
Have I made myself a little clearer ?

Loving God - Deuteronomy 6:4-5

Loving Neighbor - Leviticus 19:18

neither are in the ten commandments, or as you like to call them, "THE SACRED TEN"

just a friendly reminder :)
'Loving God and neighbour ARE the 10 Commandments' as Jesus teaches in the NT...why do I need a reminder from the OT ? The Old carries a lot of 'baggage that no longer apply now...let's give JESUS/Yashua the power and authority to rule and reign NOW as per scripture. I never promoted Moses' law, you are well mistaken there and hope you will correct it !
