Exactly, the Romans cut off the food supply to the Jews I believe in 68 AD....you do realize that it is recorded they were eating each other and women were killing their own children to eat.
1. Last days (we are not even in the last days yet that we know of)
2. Labor pains, You ever go through labor? If you have, you shoudl understand labor paind represents something that starts out slowly, and exponentially gets closer together, and stronger. Ie, it is not something that happens in a year or two. These events just keep getting more severe and occuring with greater frequency

We see this happening today. It is IMPOSSIBLE these things happened in or near 70 AD

Actually the time in between contractions can really vary...but they do go from weak to strong......yeah I been hearing this since I was a kid and Gorbachev was prime Minister of Russia... yeah some people thought Mount St Helen was the beginning of the end too

They actually did!! Isn't that amazing! :D

I know, I know .... when God led me to dig and research I was shocked..but there you go what seemed implausible looked very plausible....70 AD was the definitive end of the age.

Cool eh, Jesus comes to us with His own Temple now.

Another passage Amillennialists/preterists have lots of trouble with...

Daniel 12:11 KJV
[11] And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

If they say the daily sacrifice was taken away in 70AD what happened 3 1/2 years later? Nothing.
The future Antichrist temple fits the bill better.
The daily sacrifice was taken away in AD70 unless it was performed in a heap of ruins. What is not understood is that what happened in AD70 was a type of what would happen before the second coming. it was the third precursor of the actions of the antichrist. The temple and city was first destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar . The second time it was desecrated by Antiochus and the third time by Tiberius. Jesus prophesied both the AD70 destruction and the final culmination of the event referring to Daniel in Matthew. Daniels prophecy also also had a double application. His included the Antiochus prophecy. Antiochus was a successor of Alexander. Its no coincidence that in Johns Gospel the disciples brought the Temple to Jesus' attention at the feast of dedication (Hanukkah) which marks the rededication of the Temple by the Maccabees. That's why the reader is told to understand in Matthew 24 because that event was Prophesied in Daniel and well known. Everything in Scripture is written for a purpose and this single mention of the feast of dedication in John is no exception.

Wow. That was a short age, what 40 years?

Jesus will come because if he does not no life will survive. That fact you think that was even possible in 70 AD quite amazes me.

I never said no one would die :p I have relaxed my stance on pre-trib also. But I have to still take what the word of God says, know that what God said will happen WILL HAPPEN, WHEN he says it will happen, and HOW he says it will happen.

Like the lawyer in the OJ Simpson trial said, “if it does not fit, you must acquit” Preterism does not fit. Unless you attempt to force things into a small few years of history, which does not even resemble or end in what God said all throughout the OT would happen.

So you are saying the Abomination of Desolation was set up in 73 AD?

Daniel 12:11 KJVS
[11] And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

This post is disheartening
If god says something is going to happen it will. No matter how many people try to deny it
lol, I agree I understand that meats are not discerned as Paul said but I would think it to be meats and vegetables that God himself created and gave for us to eat. So we break the bread and give thanks to God and the same with the drink so cloned meat? Do we thank God for it when he isnt who created it or the devil who did?

Context of Dan 12:11 lies within the 70 weeks, Daniel gives no supposed gap between the 69th and 70th week.

(Dan 12:6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long shall the fulfillment of these wonders be? )

(Dan 12:7 Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it shall be for a time, times, and half a time; and when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished. )

"shall be for a time, times, and half a time" is 3.5 years, which was the duration of the 66-70 AD war when the "the power of the holy people" was completely shattered.

So you see it as literal and not spiritual seeing you in your post you say it was the duration of the first revolt?

How can it be seen as this? There is to much stuff missing. You would be forced to spiritualise part of it, at the very least. You could not take it completely literally

No I'm not. If you read my post properly I am saying that the the Prophecies of Daniel and of Jesus cover two different periods that are combined in the respective texts. Daniels prophecy looks forward from his time to the Greeks and to the last days. Jesus in Matthew 24
points to the events concerning Antiochus in Daniel as part of his prophecy regarding both what was to happen in in 70AD and the the events concerning the final antichrist in the last days. Antiochus set up a statue of Zeus in the Temple and sacrificed a Sow on the altar.

So what is to become of redeemed Christians in this age? Will there be no end of the Church age?

How about Dan 12:2?

"And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt."
