hi moshe.
only problem with that is
the great city is called Mystery Babylon.
so you have confirmed that she is Jerusalem.
look this over:
http://shalach.org/Angels/BabylonTheGreat.htm
you can't just stick "vatican" in there - its adding to what is is written.
i showed you the word "nations" refers to non-Jewish gentiles. that means only one thing: if you apply Great Babylon to Rome, you mean to say Rome is Jewish, not gentile.
also, how come you axed the following which establishes explicitly that the city is Jerusalem?
there's a very good reason john added:
"where also their Lord was crucified."
Revelation 11:8
Their bodies will lie in the street of the great city, which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.
i ask again: WAS JESUS CRUCIFIED IN ROME OR YONKERS OR IRAQ?
or was it Jerusalem?
hey zone, that site is seriously floored.
These are why that great city is not Jerusalem:
Rev 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
These are the colors of the roman catholic church.
Rev 17:18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
Not including the New Jerusalem, when has Jerusalem EVER reinged over the kings of the Earth?
Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
On the contrary The End Times is a time for gathering, not leaving. Jeremiah 32:37 I will surely gather them from all the lands where I banish them in my furious anger and great wrath; I will bring them back to this place and let them live in safety.
7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
When has Jerusalem ever called herself a Queen?
19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.
The World will never mourn Jerusalem and when or how will Jerusalem made ships rich?
20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.
The Apostles were all killed By Rome same for the Two Witnesses.
21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.
Jerusalem found no more? Where are we going for the Millennium?
22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;
So forget all these in Jerusalem?
24And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.
When has Jerusalem killed people from ALL nations?
Revelation 19:3 And again they said, Alleluia And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.
If Jerusalem's smoke rises forever and ever The Millennium is looking murky.
