The OP is trying to use the liberty we have in Christ Jesus as an excuse to return to bondage. - Galatians 2:4
It's a pride thing.
The truth is he sins worse than all of us.
How so?
By trampling the blood of Christ; and attaching works to His perfect life and obedient death.
Same old spirit that say's - "Save yourself".
I disagree. I think the OP is trying to get all to see the 10 Commandments of God is still valid today and they should be kept by all through the power of Christ. After all the bible says that anyone who sins is of the devil and not of God.

Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. (1 John 3:7-9 KJV)

That's funny you would quote John.
John also said - "If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." - I John 1:8
See how the Holy Spirit works?
That no one would glory in their own flesh?

Well I can't disagree with scripture. Since we were conceived in sin, John is absolutely correct. So now that we recognize we have sin, we can go to Him in whom there is no sin. If we abide there, where is sin?

Sin(falling short) is in our members.
The flesh(carnal mind) and the spirit wage war in our members every day.
What I am saying is there is rest from this struggle in the finished work of Jesus Christ.
We still must yield our members to Him, but He and only He defeated hell and the grave(death).
Never let it be said we achieve that victory in our on flesh.(By our own righteousness)
By attaching our own works to the finished work of Jesus Christ, that is what the OP is claiming.

There's a common misconception among "Christians" that it is impossible to stop sinning. I just cannot wrap my mind around this mindset. Time after time in scripture we are told to be perfect, sin no more, abide in Christ and yet christians around the world accept sin in their lives as if to say "well it's who I am and who I'll always be".

Yes all have sinned, but in the Power of God we can stop. If we don't seek a higher standard then we're just like the rest of the world. We can have complete victory over sin now in this life. The work of Christ has made this power available to "whosoever will" today. We are told in Proverbs the just man falls seven times and gets up again, but the wicked falls once. When we sin, we are to get up again, come to the cross, confess and forsake the sin and keep moving forward in Christ. Sin hurts God and by continuing in it shows we do not love him. Christ said simply, if we love him, we can show it by not sinning (John 14:15KJV)

I still think the OP is just trying to trap those who suggests the commandments of God are not to be kept.

Sin is falling short.
Period, end of paragraph.
When the OP stops falling short by accusing people who
are serving Christ, I'll believe he is perfect.
His own words testify to me that he is not,(perfect).
Judge not lest you be judged. Matt 7:1
None of us have God's omniscience.
And none of us have reached the high calling that is in Christ Jesus yet. - - - -
You know how I know? Because we are still alive.
Read what Paul himself said :
Philippians 3:13-14

King James Version (KJV)

13 .Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Paul makes a good point. We are to press toward the mark. If we do that we will get to the point where we're clean and victorious over all sins in this life. To say that none has reached that is a huge assumption on your part as it is impossible for you to know everyone on the planet and their personal relationship with The Savior.

The Lord gave us His Law that we should compare our characters to it. So we can see our defects and run to the cross. He can save us, He is faithful and just, He alone can cleanse us from All unrighteousness.

I see so many people say... we strive to be perfect, we sin less and less, a Christian cannot continue to sin..... This is the problem I have with this rasonings.... Do they ever get to be without sin? I get the impression they even do not believe themselves? Let me tell you why? There is this feeling in them that they would not be humble when they say that they can become sinless and perfect. Like God, Like Jesus. But boy do they make a mistake. It is not my will to be perfect. It is not my will to be without sin. It is NO MAN'S will to serve God! Not ONE single person here CHOSE to be a Christian. Not ONE SINGLE person chose to be God's child, NOT ONE.... Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you,

Ok now let us see what happens to people that God has chosen... Sometimes God calls them the elect, he also refers to them as His Children, or the brothers of Christ.

I always look at WHAT does God want, not man, and even not the chosen ones.... WHAT IS GOD'S will. I mean we know the "unchosen" will not be the ones that does ANYTHING God WILL'S. So it has to be the chosen ones that will remotely do what God will's.

First let me share what GOD does first to make them CHOSEN... If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

Just in this verse there is the MIGHT of God shown. They are NOT of this world. Just this little fact, BIG ACTION from God, makes these people VERY different than the ones of the world. So different that the wold HATETH them. Now let me tell you something about me, ONE OF THE WORLD..... I love to see a Christian sin!!!! It means he is a hypocrate, and a sinner like me, then I will LOVE him and not HATE him.

I just LOVE when some person pretends to be a child of God and he falls flat into sin. Again, where is your God NOW? I got news for you buddy, I, the man of this world DOES NOT NEED GOD more or LESS than you. I will HATE a perfect person, I will HATE HIM. Darn! This one is for real. I CANNOT love a perfect person, I can only HATE him. I love the ones that are as rotten as me, because we keep company!

What about God, does He hate the perfect man? I know he does not wants any soul to get lost, DIE IN SIN... But now, what does HE do about this? He makes them, the ones that HE CHOSE, people that are hated by people like me! I am a WORLD, and they are NOT OF THIS WORLD. We are opposites, and there is NOTHING common or alike in us. That is the reason I hate PERFECT!

I hope this is understood. One more verse I want to share... I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
Jesus prayed this to the Father.... Why did Jesus not pray for the world?

No it is not an assumption.
Sin is coming short of the mark.
What mark?
Obeying the law?
No.
If outward righteousness could have made anybody clean the pharisees wouldn't have killed God when He showed up.
Read what the pharisee prayed when he was at the temple(speaking directly to God) :
Luke 18:11-13King James Version (KJV)

11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

He fasted two times a week.
Do you think he was lying?......(To himself and God)
No, this man had his body under control.
He upheld the law and he was proud of it!
If serving God was just a matter of not doing certain things and doing certain others,
heaven would be full of self righteous.
Spiritual pride ring any bells?

we are not under the law in terms of not being condemned and knowing God has and will forgive us when we do not meet His expectation. we do not obey God's law out of fear that if we don't God will punish us but out of love to please our Heavenly Father.

we run the race according to the rules or become disqualified for the prize of an imperishable crown. However some do it and seek only a perishable crown. many don't even bother to find out the difference. still God's love is eternal.

1 Corinthians 9:24-27

New King James Version (NKJV)

Striving for a Crown

24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. 26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. 27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.

we are not under the law in terms of not being condemned and knowing God has and will forgive us when we do not meet His expectation. we do not obey God's law out of fear that if we don't God will punish us but out of love to please our Heavenly Father.

Jesus said in Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Let take another look in Luke 12:5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, fear him.

These are little tip bits of verses in the Bible that goes over people head or people read right through. When Jesus died on the cross that was the end of the first covenant, which consisted of the blood of animals and the keeping of God’s commandments. And his death also brought in the second covenant, which consist of the blood of Jesus and the keeping of God’s commandments. Paul said in Hebrews 10: (v.18) Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. In other words, no more animals are going to die for your sins. (v.26) For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.

Now do we understand what’s being said here? If you sin willfully after you have knowledge of what the truth is, no more animals are going to die for you. (v.27) But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. Now if you are being deceived into believing that once you are under God’s grace you no longer have to keep his commandments, all you have to look forward to is the day of judgement and the lake of fire (fiery indignation).

Is He literally holding our hand or is this a cogitate idea of wishful hope or figurative or Spiritually hope or something else? Whether it is literal or some qua-say figurative... What if He allows you to let go and you walk away or wander away by losing your focus or see something else you wanted or were lured or tempted to release your hand and go? If is stipulated upon may or permitted, can which is potential or choice, if we asked then we are told we are not permitted (that t is not His will) thus we have the can which what do we choose? If we do ask then we are not open or not open to receive His will and then choose to do or not do but usually this is much quicker in the occasion of the event that is why our walk is very fragile. Most, not all the time, of the time it is not so fully conscious happening quickly (sins deception).
1Co 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
1Co 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1Co 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
1Co 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Many words I use have a definition not defined by the dictionary, but defined by the Holy Spirit. I (there is one word not defined spiritually by the dictionary) do not sin, because God is holding my hand, and I would really have to struggle for God to let go of me? It appears that many think it's impossible to be holy, but I know that God can make a person holy, righteous, and sinless.

To answer your question; yes, He is literally holding my hand, cause if He's holding me, He's holding my hand also, and I'm less than an hour old, just a baby ready to die for the name of Christ (in the flesh of course, cause I'll never die).

It is not impossible to be holy in spirit, and for our earthen vessel to be holy even now. Most just don't count the cost fully, or are being choked by the cares and riches of this world (thorny ground).

In order to understand why it is true that I do not sin and cannot sin, you must first understand what the "seed" is, which remains in us.

1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

The seed is a holy spirit by measure, which is planted, growing, and cannot die. I can only die if I committ an unforgivable, and I'm sure not going to sign the bottom of this canvas/paint/picture as if I did it all by myself. Instead I'll keep thanking God for holding me, holding my hand (literally), and giving me the power to never fall, as it is written:

2Pe 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
2Pe 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
2Pe 1:5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
2Pe 1:6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
2Pe 1:7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
2Pe 1:8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2Pe 1:9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
2Pe 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

I'm a high priest of this everlasting priesthood, and I cannot sin, because the holy spirit by measure that I am is overflowing, and sin can't even reach me. I believe that most are overflowing, but the smaller the vessel, the quicker the overflow, so I believe by grace we are mostly all small vessels (I hope you get the idea).

I love you all.

You are trying to mix the covenants, of which the new was signified by the death of the Testator---

Please tell me.....what does the new covenant consist of? What was in the agreement that was made? What was at fault with the old covenant? Where did the old covenant fail? And when did the new covenant go into effect?

Eye for eye and tooth for tooth is one of the ways God taught us the reason to forgive, but we do not live according to that temporary law anymore which was for our learning. It was the perfect law that we needed to learn what we needed to learn from it.

The eternal law of the everlasting priesthood is the only law, and it never changes.

I cannot answer that until I know which of God's laws you refer to.

Really? You do not know what will be the fate of one that knowingly continues to break the laws of God without repentance until his dying day? God tells us ALL over His word what will be the fate of one that does such things. He warned people in Noah's day what would happen! He warned people in Lot's day what would happen! He warns us in the book of Revelation what will happen! But YOU do not know what will happen to those that knowingly continue to break God's laws without repentance until their death? Let's read it just once to confirm;

Ezek.18
[4] Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
[10] If he beget a son that is a robber, a shedder of blood, and that doeth the like to any one of these things,
[11] And that doeth not any of those duties, but even hath eaten upon the mountains, and defiled his neighbour's wife,
[12] Hath oppressed the poor and needy, hath spoiled by violence, hath not restored the pledge, and hath lifted up his eyes to the idols, hath committed abomination,
[13] Hath given forth upon usury, and hath taken increase: shall he then live? he shall not live: he hath done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.
[20] The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

How can anyone not know what will happen to all those that continue to knowingly break God's laws without repentance until their death?

Let's read it again in the NT;

Rev.22
[15] For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Even AFTER one is so called "Saved" and filled with the "Holy Spirit", they must yet keep the laws of God to enter into His kingdom.

How simple is that?

Do you know what the New Covenant consists of? :)

You ask how the old covenant failed...well, it didn't!
Its purpose was to convince mankind that we needed a Savior.
It is we who fail. The Israelites failed to keep it.
They said they would. (Ex. 24:7)
But they didn't...they couldn't. We couldn’t, either, if we had never known Jesus and it was offered to us.

So it was necessary for God to make a new covenant. (Jer.31:32-33)
This was based on the Promise God made to Abraham.
It was always the purpose of God to send the Savior, and to make this covenant through the sacrifice of Jesus.
It has always been through faith in this new covenant of Promise that people have been made righteous before God.
The law never had the power to save. The only way it could have is if people could keep it perfectly.
But it did serve its purpose, first to make every man know they are guilty of sin and accountable to God for it (Rom, 3:19), and as a schoolmaster, to point the way to Jesus, the seed of the Promise. (Gal. 3:24)

See how the Jews, in Jesus' day, responded to Him saying the truth would make them free? (John 8:33)
They didn't understand their own scripture which told them all about these things.
They didn't understand about the two children Abraham had, one of the bondwoman, and one of the free.
Galatians 4:30 quotes Genesis 21:10 and says, "Cast out the bondwoman and her son, for the son of the bondwoman shall not be an heir with the son of the freewoman."
If we try to mix the covenants, it becomes v-e-r-y easy for us to begin to feel self-righteous. Jesus also told parables of new cloth to patch an old garment and new wine in old wineskins to illustrate why we can't mix the two. The new is not modifying the old in some way...it's brand new!

Here's the thing I was trying to show when I brought up Hebrews 9...
the old covenant was a contract, or agreement, between two parties: God and the nation of Israel.
The new is, in effect, a will...a promise made by God on behalf of all humanity.
Now, if I write a will, it sits in a cabinet and does nothing until my death.
When Jesus died this great promise became a reality!

We who are in Christ are not under the old covenant because we have died in being crucified with Christ. (Gal. 2:20)
The book of Romans sets forth in pretty clear language all these things.

I hope this helps.

One last thing...
Jesus is the One Who makes us stand in this new covenant.
Not our obedience, though Jesus makes us able to obey the law of Christ. (Gal.6:2)
Not the law, for we have died to it. (Rom.7)

It's the faithfulness of Christ that causes us to stand and be righteous in God's eyes. (Jude 1:24)
We take on His righteousness before the Father when we believe in Christ by grace through faith.(2 Cor. 5:21, Eph. 2:8,9)

You re right babyboyblue, it is ALL about God and HIS will.... Now about that relationship, and I will try to hare with you HOW GOD SET IT UP iN ALL HIS CHILDREN. I had a Bible talk with my eldest daughter last night, and she is VERY serious to have the perfect relationship with God. My daughter and I do not agree on the same level, but we BOTH know where to look for this relationship.

First... A relationship means to be in relation with another person. Relate to another person. If there are two people that RELATE 100% to eachother, they are ONE soul/spirit/person. No person can relate to another without LOVE, or at least the same goal. But the relationship with God is SET OUT even before God established the world. God's perfect relationship with His Son was there even before the stars were in the sky. God can only have one type and level of relationchip, because God only has ONE LEVEL OF LOVE, shown by Jesus on the cross.

Now! Let us see what God says about this relationship he has with FEW PEOPLE on this earth. God says.... I LOVED you first.....I have chosen you..... So ANY person that are in this perfect love and relationship with God DID NOT CHOSE IT, or started the relationship, GOD did. And when did this relationship became as ONE person? When did this relationship came to the LEVEL OF GOD? No person can even start the relationship with God, and no person can grow in this relationship if God does not LET THE GROWTH HAPPEN.

The beginning is God, the middle is God, the end is God. How can any person think he has something to do with his relationship with God. What about the people that does not have a reltionship with God? Is it because God did not love them? If God is the one that loved first, why do they not love back, or are they loved? Can God love some person that does not love Him back? Can God choose a person without that person becoming what God chose him for?

God is powerful way beyond what we can imagine, and He is GOOD as Jesus said. Now if God had chosen me to be HIS one day, and HE SET out IDENTITIES/Charactoristics of ALL who HE chose, how can I be HIS if I do not fit those identities? I think my spelling is bad again, but I hope it comes over OK.

When we read the Bbile we get to SEE those charactoristics/identities. Jesuscame and SHOWN God to us. Jesus showed GOD IN THE FLESH! Jesus said if you had known my Father you would have known me. That is how ALIKE they are. They ARE ONE! Perfect in eachother, perfect in ONE! They live the same, they talk the same, and they are the same. And they love the same! PERFECTLY.

This is now what God said about the ones that LOVES HIM... They love God PERFECTLY and that is why they too ARE ONE WITH GOD AS JESUS IS ONE WITH GOD! If I am to be ONE with God, I would also have to live the same, talk the same and be the same. So many said Cobus you cannot be God. But is it me that loved God and chose to be God's child? Or was I chosen before the earth was made? Did God write my name in the book of life even before I existed? Then how could I have chosen God? If God chose me, and God loved me, and that choice of God made me part of GOD, who is the GOOD One here. ME? Nope God is good, only God is good.

If God now make me ONE with Him, and Jesus is ONE with Him, how ONE AM I WITH GOD? One as Jesus? Boy, if only there is a verse in the Bible where Jesus says that we are one with God as He is one with God.... Did Jesus say... I and the Father are ONE!... Yes he did... John 10:30.... Did Jesus say what God said?.... Yes He said expressingly.....The words I speak is not my own but hat of my Father's.... And did God say that we will be ONE with Him?..... YES HE DID... John 17....

Now for once in your life, people thinl how MASSIVE this is..... EVERY PERSON GOD LOVES, LOVE HIM BACK SO MUCH THAT HE IS ONE WITH GOD! LIKE JESUS IS ONE WITH GOD! EXACTLY LIKE JESUS!

I will ONLY show these few verses that confirms the PERFECT LOVE OF GOD IN ALL HIS CHILDREN....
And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one;

But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

If I do not keepeth His word, am I in GOD? NOPE! Can I keep His Word? Only if HE perfect HIS LOVE IN ME! Can I make God or ask God to make His love in me perfect? Can I ask God to chose me, as I am NOT chosen? Can I love God first? Can I stand here on earth and say THANK YOU GOD THAT I AM CHOSEN?

If I claim to be His child, should I not talk like His child, should I not live or do like His child, should I not BE HIS CHILD. Should I not be ONE with GOD? If I m not, not ONE with HIM, who am I then? Who's child am I? I have only ONE real experience with God.... There was a time that I did not care if He existed or not, NOW I CARE! Only that is what I have to say about God and His relationship. ONLY THAT! I CARE THAT GOD EXIST!

God's will, WILL be done in me! Amen!
