Chimps are an animal made separately from Humans. I personally believe all animals have somewhat of an awareness of God through something called instinct. Funny cuz we humans don't have instinct, we are not bound to live a fenced mindset to keep us surviving. Humans actually have a independent moral and intellectual capacity to do whatever they want. Now that's also proof of our separation as different beings. I also believe when certain animals are exposed to human intellectual exercises they show limited independence, but in the wild they will always live like they also live, under their own instinct. Even kept from the wild and raised among humans, they still keep their instinct inside, that's why there has been cases of attacks, attitudes and such behavior from them.

Octopuses are said to be very smart, I use to watch them on tv and stuff. They learn things quick, but I wouldn't connect our mental capacity since that's an animal. Matter of fact, they might be more smarter than chimpanzees lol...

God is all powerful, and all Righteous, in the end evil will be dealt with, the reason He's ¨allowing¨ it to exist is so those who will hear would come to an understanding of God and repent (that is a changing of heart in turning away from evil). Jesus Christ was the 100% Son of God/Son of Man, (God the Father/Mary the human) who lived a perfectly sinless life, and died on the Cross for our sins, and His vivification was for our good, and justification. <<{Message of the Gospel}. With this in mind and heart, it is evident that for one to reject this atonement, and free gift of salvation, the promise of eternal life, it is foolishness. So science will ¨question everything¨ yet God's existence is out of the question, and for one to say God is not all powerful, there is no God, and ungood, He's not so godly, but 2 psalms the only 2 I noticed which were almost identical will tell us, a fool hath said in his heart there is no God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. (no brainer to Christians, because God is exactly that [GOD]) and likewise even, For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. For it is written, "He is THE ONE WHO CATCHES THE WISE IN THEIR CRAFTINESS"; It's only rational, a creation has a Creator, and the creation can not be compared in all it's ways to the Creator.

So for an atheist, everything started out of nothing?
I have thought of lots of questions, whether you have reasoning to explain, throw them out there, but I just want to ask...
So explain how the eye developed over evolution and how colors were able to be transmitted through it?
Explain how the symbiotic relationship between us and trees happened through scientific reasoning instead of an actual design from above?
Explain how evolution happened through human reasoning, I once studied different places of the world, I found out that there were people of the native land of the far east with Caucasian skin with no relation to Europeans?
Explain the how everything around you doesn't need human explanation? I once read with a friend that we humans are actually "know" only of 2% of everything around us oppose to what scientist, biologists, etc tell us.
Explain the balance of a force called orbit?
Explain the significance of water being in three forms on earth at the same time, unlike other planets, gas or solid?

Some interesting ideas Bryan, but it's getting late and I must turn in; one thing first though. This is one of those posts that compels me to dig deeper. I question your assertion that humans lack instinct. Psychologists, I am quite certain, would say that we are also creature of instinct. Perhaps someone else knows more about this than I do. I’ll have to do some research.

You do acknowledge that many religious people fully accept evolution? Properly speaking its mostly Young Earth Creationists who deny it, I think.

I just thought we should recognize those millions of believers who are with us on this. There may be a few in this forum as well. It would be nice if they came forward.
I didn't mean all religious people and yes I agree it's the very loud minority of YEC's.
My point is that it's ONLY religious people that have a problem with evolution - no
serious scientist does. It's not like there are two major scientific theories out there
battling each other to explain the diversity of life. Evolution is the basis of biology
and that's it.

And I don't know why you're bringing up chimps when I'm talking about human
beliefs and knowledge. Is there a point to the comparison?

You don't ask for much! :)

Have a good night.

You don't have instinct? When you see a snake about to strike what is your reaction? Do you just stand there
indifferent about the whole situation? Sorry, but humans have instincts.

From my understanding primates/humans are not the same class, nor are they cousins, perhaps if that's so than water evolved into fire, and grass into a weed, and a lemon tree to a lime tree, and then shortly after an orange tree, dirt evolved into clay, and oh, wood evolved into a stone, and pretty soon, I'm going to evolve into a celestial being.

God could have made our DNA entirely different from chimpanzees knowing that people
would have the confusion later on down the road. We could have avoided all the debate
if humans didn't have so much in common with other living things. However, our DNA is
98.5% the same as a chimp's and genetics proves common ancestry - sorry evolution deniers.

Bring on the common designer argument...

i guess everything evolves from night into day, since everything's dark, and when the sun starts rising a state of evolution sheds it's light.

And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

You're right, it makes more sense to believe that men and women we were created from dust, dirt and a rib bone.

It's just that I am not certain we should label infants as atheists. It doesn't matter that chimps are not human, if they have the same intellectual capacity as human toddlers, and we choose to call toddlers atheists, then using the same criterion chimps must be atheists as well. Yes?

Personally, I would not call a chimp an atheist. It would have no more grasp of what that meant than would a toddler.

Chimps can't be atheists, if so than cats and dogs and other animals, infants are born into sin, the optimum is rebirthing spiritually, through Christ alone, getting out of this cesspool which you say proves there's no God.

shouldn't you guys be on an evolutionist site or something?
A Question! (Kinda)
Atheists come to christian sites for a variety of reasons MaranathaSoonQuick.
Some do it merely to antagonize the ~fundies~ (as they like to call us).
Some, to display what they consider a superior intellect - as obviously no right minded or intelligent individual could believe in a "god".
Some show up just to be adversarial regarding ANY position a christian might take on any topic or issue. (Oddly enough MaranathaSoonQuick, I see a few who say they are christian do exactly the same thing. Odd,huh?)
Some come because they are ~doubting~ their belief system and the Spirit leads them here to find answers. THESE MaranathaSoonQuick, are who we are to speak to about Jesus.
:D

How come chimps aren't turning into humans today. I mean they did it millions of years ago. Why can't they do it now?
