Why do you lot keep on citing this ??
Just because you do not have the Holy Spirit does not mean that you are not saved.
Obviously there is always the hope of salvation for all of us: Pentecostal, Roman Catholics, Protestants, Orthodox and others …
The main difference is that a Spirit-filled Pentecostal Christian walks the walk in the power of the Holy Spirit; while the Christians who
are not Spirit-filled walk the walk in their own strength and by their own efforts.

Wow! What the heck is "The Revival Fellowship " teaching you guys? I have read past members specifically saying your church is a cult, and this kind of un- Biblical post bolsters that claim.
Romans 8:9 New King James Version (NKJV)
9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does NOT have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.

Hey takes it to the false extreme both ways.....like saying what he states above and or If one does not show the signs of Mark 16 like speaking in tongues they are not saved......BOTH heretical and false..........

I have spent quite a bit of time in AU....and interacted with many people.......the truth is very allusive.......not that it cannot be found because some have it*, but I went to one church and they were very disrespectful to the worship of God.....one guy took a phone call and was walking around in open service talking, had kids playing with toy cars on the floor, preacher read one verse and then gave a 25 minute pep talk that had nothing to do with God or the verse he read...............

*Disclaimer....read the bolded before you accuse me of saying the truth cannot be found in AU......

Please provide scripture that aligns with your belief that the Holy Ghost is received without the evidence of speaking in tongues the moment one believes.
We I would offer should be careful how we hear the word of God as two walking together in agreement to the one author and finisher of our new born again faith .The seed snatcher is right around the corner . We seek with our new contrite heart,. Not emotional charged by what the eyes see as if we did wrestles against flesh and blood. That's for those who have no faith.

With what evidence ? metaphors? God gives us the metaphors that show one has believed. Not wondering as in mysterious wonderment. The parables reveal mysteries of God, not conceal. they are conceal form those who are not apart of the new order of priesthood of believers.

Signs that follow those who have eternal life. Like false doctrine will not affect them signified as poison(the metaphor) . Or they as new creatures speak a new tongue "the gospel" . The gift is called believing. And as another part of the same believing the new born again tongue of the gospel it as it is written has the power to resurrect those dead in their trespasses and sin without a living hope that comes from a living God .And not looking at the temporal things of this world as if the kingdom did come by observation ,

Walking by sight lusting after the things seen after the three avenues of the father to build up false pride. called self edification . Jesus calls those a evil. He is a one way avenue not the evil trinity

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is "not of the Father", but is of the world.

I am familiar with that kind of gospel. Being saved without a wonderment.... to a sign as a wonderment seeker simply mean a person has not made enough noise without meaning to be noticed by oneself and therefore no way to self edify.

Fill er up with the with the unseen holy power than one can full backward to indicate full tank .

Haha! I was a professional music and an exhibitionist before I was saved. Always an outgoing extrovert. So worry no more, My boundaries were thin before God saved me, and till I burned out with the excesses that even an ex-musician couldn't take in Pentecostal and charismatic churches. No inhibitions here!

As for insults, wow! You take the cake in that one. But again, your precious tongues are called out, and you always go back to the default position of tongues being important, instead of God being important. Sad!

REALLY?

who would ever know other than that you are always telling us how great you are at almost everything

as for the insults, did you think you had the market cornered?

can't help it if the truth hurts lady

precious tongues? you should watch yours by the way. it is sounding more and more like the kind that sets fires

Eph 1: 13 - 14 13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who[a] is the [b]guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

Yep. No tongues. Sorry Bro. You are mistaken.

What else a I supposed to do, when you are unable to get simple facts correct? I am not a full preterist, but a partial one, and amillennial.

I do not believe Jesus has already returned. But neither do I believe in a fake, secret Rapture. In fact, that kind of nonsense guessing about the end, doesn't interest me at all.

And trust me, I have not lost faith. Not since the day I was saved, 39 years ago. Although I did have a hard 2 years when I first got RA, and was judged and condemned by Word Faith people. God kept me in his hands, and the gift of faith which HE gave me never diminished, because it was from God, not me.

Again, sorry you have fallen for such a pathetic lie, and you base you life on it.

oh I have your facts straight

you didn't get I was fishing for what exactly you believe? thanks for letting me know

most of us here realize some events are past tense while others are not

as for the rest, again, that is YOUR experience. maybe you should work on getting past it instead of always talking about it

I'm wondering just how low you are going to go with your childish insults just to try and score points

you are belittling yourself

Exactly! The Spirit of Christ is the new birth. It was an experience with responding to the Voice of the Lord calling us to repent and turn to Him for salvation. The breath of Jesus igniting our spirit.

I knew I was changed and it was instantaneous. I told everyone I was born again. And others saw the difference. Reading the scriptures, praying, and testifying.

But, this is not the power of the baptism of Holy Spirit. The giftings are how we minister in the same power Jesus walked in. When you know not what to say but He begins to flow through in knowledge and wisdom, or in other giftings including laying hands on others and the sick healed.

It’s resurrection life. Experiencing this and ministering in this to others.

But, not on your own initiative. As He leads. So you don’t go into a hospital and clean it out. Lay down your puny weak arguments and believe what Jesus has for you.

When people fake things, they then believe all are faking. It’s called pride that will make one do that. And we know what happens with pride.

Where did I say they would wolf?

Am not sure about Wigglesworth though. He had unusual faith. So did John G. Lake.

Thanks for bringing this up. Am going to search it out.

AMEN...if the SPIRIT of HIM that raised up JESUS dwell in you <----->Paul told the church at Ephesus what it means to be continually filled with the Spirit......he uses a few subordinate clauses on the heels of a present, passive imperative verb to show what it means to be continually filled with the Spirit in Ephesians 5:18-21 and speaking in tongues is not listed.....
Interesting study in Passive Imperatives...

This might interest you wolf. But, to answer you about what I believe all being healed would mean for us today...

I believe the body of Christ as in all members together moving in unity on the earth, will be the manifesting power of the Sons of God. We all have a part to work, so for healing, if I believed I was to be prayed for by one, I would go to those known to have the gift of healing. Or known to have the presence of God manifest in their meetings.

So far for myself, healing has been the walk of faith for me. And I’m still living. 😊

Anywho..

John G Lake

Life and story of John G. Lake
John G. Lake was born in Ontario, Canada on March 18th, 1870. He was a family man, person of integrity, honor, a savvy businessman and a good father. If you knew him you wouldn’t otherwise know that he would soon become one of the greatest men of God the world would ever know. He had a genuine love for the Lord Jesus and was known by his friends as a man who dedicated himself to intimacy with The Lord. It was out of this place that he loved his wife, was a man of integrity and built a very successful business career. To give you perspective, by 1905 John G Lake was making $50,000 per year this sum would be like upwards of 1.3 million dollars per year annually today. John grew up in a family environment which was plagued with sickness and death, it is said that his earliest memories were of sickness, death and funerals. Lake was from a large family, he had 16 siblings, 8 of which tragically died of various diseases. It is no coincidence that “the man of healing” was tormented from a young age with death and disease. The enemy will often oppose destinies with radical circumstances through a distortion of the very thing that we are called to walk in. Lake Was exposed to dramatic healing when he visited John Alexander Dowie’s ministry and was, in prayer, instantly healed of a rheumatism which had caused his legs to grow incorrectly. Just two short years into their marriage, Jennie Lake was diagnosed with tuberculosis and heart disease. Over the next couple of years, the condition worsened and the doctors resigned to the fact that it was only a matter of time before she would die. John allowed this situation to provoke him into faith, after being exposed to such death and disease from a young age he had a hatred for such things. When he would read the word of God he saw that his Christian experience was less than the promised “power of the Holy Spirit”. As Jennie was on her deathbed and perhaps taking her final breaths Lake was overcome with anger over sickness and threw his bible against the fireplace mantle! When he went to pick up his bible it was opened to Acts chapter 10:38 which says: "God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” Lake had a surge of faith in that moment and sent a telegram to Dowie asking him to pray. Within an hour of Dowie praying she was fully healed! Not long after Jennie was healed, God began to speak to Lake about going into full time ministry. After some time of contemplation and seeking the Lord, God confirmed to John and Jennie separately that they were to move to South Africa to begin their life of ministry. John and Jennie then gave away all that they had, John forsook his mega-salary and they went on their way alongside some of their friends as ministry partners.

We should be careful how we can hear.

I think that fiery one is already indicated by those who fall backward . It would appear they have a secret foundation and must ignore the application (1 Corhithians14:22-23) . It confirms those who do fall backward as a sign of those who do turn the things of God upside down in order to remove His understanding.

Isaiah 28:11-13 (KJV) For with stammering (mocking deriding ) lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

Next chapter...

Isaiah 29:16 Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?

Yes the new tongues the gospel, prophecy as a sign that follows after a person has received the faith to believe.

That gospel has the power to raise those dead in their trespasses and sins as a new hope giving them a new tongue by which they also can carry on the great commission as a kingdom of priests .

He used other metaphors as that which follow after, or exiting the unseen work .Everyone that is given the faith of Christ by which they can believe God .They will come under the influence of a false gospel called poison and it will not harm those walking by faith .A whole slew of signs (not substance) follow everyone that is born again from above.

Note... (purple in parenthesis my addition)

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel (the new tongue) to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs (not substance a shadow ) shall follow (not lead) them that believe; In my name (not in the name of a sign) shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; (the gospel) They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Mark 16: 15

Ten Passive Imperatives in the New Testament

Since this mood seems to be so critical to our ongoing experience of God’s salvation, I decided to do a search through the New Testament to see where I could find other instances of the passive imperative. All these instances below are true passive imperatives (in contrast to many other phrases that still convey the sense of God’s operation and our cooperation, i.e. Phil. 2:12-13), which means that in Greek they are represented by one word—a verb in the passive voice and imperative mood. Thus, no matter how your preferred Bible version translates these phrases (ESV has “save yourself” for Acts 2:40, which does not accurately convey this tension), they should be understood as a command directed to you, yet not enacted directly by you. So the verb should be past tense in form (although not necessarily past tense in meaning; in Romans 12:2 the passive imperative is in the present tense, so it could be translated as “be being transformed”).

  1. Be saved—Acts 2:40
  2. Be transformed—Rom. 12:2
  3. Be reconciled—2 Cor. 5:20
  4. Be enlarged—2 Cor. 6:13
  5. Be separated—2 Cor. 6:17
  6. Be perfected—2 Cor. 13:11
  7. Be filled—Eph. 5:18
  8. Be empowered—Eph. 6:10
  9. Be humbled—1 Pet. 5:6
  10. Be sanctified—Rev. 22:11
