You shall know them by their fruit.

Beware of false prophets. They come in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.

For the word of God is alive and active.Sharper than any double edged sword,it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow,it judges the the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.....please
interpret?

God testified to my spirit that I am his child.?

Cop out! Answer my question, call Jesus your Lord and Master....if you dare!

The topic at hand is interpretation, and the dishonest treatment you give to it. You want Scripture?

Proverbs 11:1
A false balance is an abomination to the LORD, but a just weight is his delight.
Wow that is really deep man.

Don't see how that furthers your side of the discussion but perhaps that is all you know of Scripture.

Perhaps you should re-read the post I made the argument in and consider it in light of that Scripture. Maybe you'll understand the criticism and actually present something that addresses it.

The word of God truly is sharper than a two-edged sword ( if you apply it) alive and quick, will cut to the quick and get the bloodline. Dividing the dross worthless gunk) from the silver ( refined and prescious)

Do you have so little faith in what you believe, that you can't even give an argument of support. I am not being drawn into your ridiculous way of arguing, with words that ignore Scripture support.

The original discussion, you butted your nose into, was presented by me on the word "all". That is the discussion. How it is misused by some to support their side, ignoring context. If you have a problem with it, then give Scripture to support your side. Otherwise you have nothing meaningful to say.

The topic of this thread is how Calvinists treat context.

In one verse, it matters.

In another, it matters not.

The scales are dishonest.

The Lord abhors dishonest scales in grain, how much worse for those who use dishonest scales with the very word of God?

Yet still, no Scriptural example of what you are going on and on about. Show where the scales are being used dishonestly.

I narrowed my part of the discussion, to show how one cannot defend their doctrine on the basis of the word "all" . You butted into it but want to change the rules of engagement. Give something worth looking at or get out. Not the thread but my conversation.

When it comes to discussions of Romans 8 and 9, you and other calvinists in these threads have conveniently ignored discussion of the context stating that the plain text is sufficient, or bringing in other proof texts devoid of context. So you treat your proof texts as not needing to speak to the context for meaning.

When it comes to verses that contain "all" or "world" in place where your doctrine demands it be speaking only of the elect, you conveniently appeal to context whether the context actually moderates it or not. So in Scripture that goes against your doctrine suddenly context matters.

Some Scripture are treated with one measure, others with another. So the scales are dishonest.
