If they deny Christ, they are Jews by birth only...not by faith. Without Christ, there is no love shed abroad in their hearts (Rom 5:5)
Then you believe it is impossible for them to love the Lord because they believe the Messiah is yet to come. Do you believe they worship the same God we do, or to put it in another way, do you believe the God of the OT is the God we worship? Do you believe that in Christ, we have a new God?

Waah, am I taking some kind of entrance exam or are you searching for a 'homework helper'?
Without Jesus it is impossible to love the Lord or anyone else, because they lack God's life in them. (But that holds true for anyone, not just Jews.
.

They 'attempt' to worship the same God as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, but if they reject God's Son it is not acceptable worship to God.
We worship the God of Abraham...same God.
Do you believe that in Christ, we have a new God?
Again, same God.

Did I pass your test :)

We are speaking of learning about God, and the more "me" gets out of it the better. For the "me" in this, not that it matters, I have become fascinated with how God's laws work in our material world to improve it. When I followed this thought with learning about how much more Jew achieve than gentiles I spent a lot of time looking into why and found it was because they learned how God works in the world and followed that. Following what God says doesn't seem wrong to me. I wonder what Paul had in mind when Paul wrote about them in Romans? Paul said God would always be faithful to them. But here I am prattling on about the "me" in this. Lets get back to scripture.

What do you make of Zech 8:23 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “In those days ten people from all languages and nations will take firm hold of one Jew by the hem of his robe and say, ‘Let us go with you, because we have heard that God is with you.’”

As new creatures we know no man after the flesh which cannot profit to begin with..

The Jew in that parable is in reference to a inward Jew a new creature . One that has the Spirit of Christ, the born again Spirit of God.

Salvation has nothing to do with the flesh of any nation. Christianity is not a Jewish religion. They are simply a inward Jew or a Christian if they are born again..

Could that possibly be those that in the tribulation will heed the words of the 144,000 Jews who God will send? Or in the Millenium?

But we live in the flesh, we can't kill our flesh and still br here on earth. God speaks about our earthly living as well as our spirit, so shouldn't we?

We can't express God in our life in the spirit without having our flesh along with it. A murderer is expressing the devil in the flesh as well as the spirit, and a person who rocks and coos at a baby or gives to someone ibn need is doing that with the flesh expressing God in the spirit.

it seems to me this do nothing because it is doing with the flesh attitude has gone too far. It is the way that the spirit is expressed and lived--we can't express God as a corpse.

That whole chapter is speaking of the Millennial reign of Christ where Jerusalem will be it's center and God's favor will once again be on the Jews.

So you feel that God is temporarily not being faithful to the Jews, or that God does not now thank the Jews for the acceptance they did of God in the past? What do you think about Paul sticking up for them in Romans? What would be your explanation of the achievements the Jews make that outshines gentiles?

One more thing, would you explain what you think about how our actions and our faith relate to each other? Jews are for actions to express faith and gentiles are for faith alone. Can there be deep spiritual communication with God without actions following?

Hi Bill. Thanks for the reply

I would offer. We live in a corrupted body of death. Flesh had been judged as sinful in the garden. Therefore these earthen bodies will return to the dust of the field from where it was formed of and if a person has not been born again then their corrupted spirit returns to God who gave it..

Jesus of his own corrupted flesh said it profits for nothing. That it is the unseen Spirit that quickens our souls. His word is Spirit and life giving.

The father poured His Spirit on the corrupted flesh of the Son of man, Jesus. He condemned sin in the flesh we live in, a body of death. But Christ's sacrifice rendered flesh useless to destroy our new born gain Spirit. It will be raised along with our new incorruptible bodies on the last day . As we are informed in Philippian 1:6 .If the Spirt of Christ has begun the good work of salvation in us he will finish it till the last day..... the same time of receiving the promised new incorruptible body, as the bride of Christ.

Romans 8:2-4 King James Version (KJV) For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

In that way we are to know no man after the flesh not as expressing God as a corpse. He is not a man as us a course . .

Husbands who drool, obey your wife who rules. lol

That three day outward demonstration of the invisible work of God fulfilled the old testament prophecy.

Joel 2:28And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

Another of the same prophecy spoken to by Zechariah

Zechariah 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn

Corrupted flesh was needed for the one time demonstration of pouring out his Spirit. We walk by faith.

How we look at how the bible uses the word "faith as labor of love" can give us a better understanding as to what faith without works is dead means. A person would have to ask whose faith is dead without works or who works are dead without faith. Seeing they (faith and works) cannot be divided its all one thing. Like love and marriage. .it all one thing . Believe and move to carry it out. No plan of faith to carry to the end, no action.

1 Thessalonians 1:3 Remembering without ceasing your "work of faith", and "labour of love", and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;

Actions are work .We are saved by Christ's work of faith an action of his love or called a labor of love. Without faith the Holy Spirit of God works not in the heart of men. Born again Jews have the Spirit of Christ in them just as born again Gentiles. God puts no difference between the two purifying the hearts of both by a work of his faith.

Acts 15:8-10 King James Version (KJV) And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;And put no difference between us and them, "purifying their hearts" by faith. Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the
Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man "have" not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

I understand all of this, but still, when you say flesh it means corrupted flesh. But flesh is often spoken of as all the things we do as we live in our bodies, and we DO live in our bodies. I question gentiles saying we cannot live for Christ in the spirit with anything we do because we live in the flesh. It seems to me that what we do in the flesh of our bodies, our actions, reflect the spirit and yet I am opposed when I express that thought. That is what I don't understand.

I've thought about being a Karate Jew and a Christian simultaneously.

I think I would rather be a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Jew and a Christian instead.

Its a little harder to say but I think it will be worth it.

Some postings back you said there was some action you would take as a Christian so I don't think you are as against obeying the Lord or any Christian actions as you let on. I think you just get your jollies by ragging at me for wanting to do as the Lord guides.

stian actions as you say.

I don't disagree with anything the law says. I don't disagree with obedience.

I just think it is a gift and not work. It is something the Lord causes in us and is not due to our understanding.

When we try to work at the law in our own understanding we fail miserably.

When we rest in Christ it is Christs Work that cause our obedience.

I think that is the whole point of Christianity and the difference between working at the law like Judaism does and not working at the law like Christians do.

I do like ragging you. Because you seem to think that the Jewish way is the height of wisdom. I completely disagree with that. I think the Christian way is the height of wisdom.

Wanting to do what you think the Lord wants you to do is honorable, even if you're misguided. Many people have done horrible things, thinking that those actions were consistent with God's will. Wanting others to do as you think the Lord wants you to do is controlling or manipulating.

Your many threads on the subject suggest that you aren't satisfied with the former. Rather, it seems, you want others to do as you do.

Do you live as you do, and argue with others about why they should live as you do, because you are confident that it is God's will, or because you are actually uncertain, and looking for validation? Or is it something else? Why not simply be satisfied with living as you think you should, and not trying to convince others that your way is right?

Nope, I believe God's way is the height of wisdom, and if the Jews do it or not is beside the point. But I think when we put God into every single moment of our life it is a good thing and from my reading the faithful Jews have learned to do that. Gentiles haven't.

I can't see the point of making a difference between us doing something and God in us doing it. I've lived 93 years of all things, and since I was about three I have looked for, listened to, and put myself in the care of God. And I just now was made aware of a sin I have been committing and didn't think of it before as sinful. So I and the Lord are working on me getting it out of my life. Now, it took my will to look at myself as I and the Lord spoke together, and I am working at getting it out of my life. I don't think it matter a hoot if it is my work or the Lord's work but it seems to me the two of us worked on me together. I'm glad to be rid of it.

Thank you, thank you. Except I would add that God wants us to give a thank you to the Jews who God gave the job of letting the idol worshipping nations know about Him, way back when. Paul tells us God will be faithful to them for doing this.

Jesus pointed to a gentile, soldier- centurion of the Roman Army- “turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.”

And just why do you think you can speak of scripture and you can tell others that they are wanting to convince others of a personal way of theirs if they speak of scripture? Isn't that quite unacceptably arrogant?

There has never been one time that I have not used only scripture or established historical facts unless I make the statement it is something I think.
