Technically everyone was born between summer and spring....:)
I'm confused when is spring in the US? In Britain it starts in March and ends in May so if someone is born in those Months how are they born between Summer and Spring?

Yep and people that try to not serve two masters and go on in God are called all sorts of names. In the end its on us if we take it to pull us down, or stronger :) God bless you and keep fighting the good fight!
im one of them i was pretty lukewarm and at one stage cold people have found it difficult to believe that God showed me the demons that would torment me in hell if I didnt repent its been really tough thats really heart breaking for me to admit that.
and this young lady has helped bring this lukewarm other young lady bring me (me) back . I hope pray trust God will bring the fear God into more lives thru me saying this its not to be taken lightly what ive been thru. :)

Indeed Insults and bible challenges...But I follow God not man. Just wanna keep going the right way even when its not easy.. Especially in this season im in now
Jesus took insults, abuse and finally nails from many for us, in order to gift us eternal life. We can take a few incognizant, manipulative false accusations from the enemy window dressed as righteousness. It's the deceptive nature of satan that comes to be totally transparent as the closer we are to the Lord, we know the truth. Once you've got your perspective straight and your heart where it needs to be, the journey becomes so much easier.

Well another thing is that Halloween for me, as ex witch can be very very tempting. Either I look at a thing and it utterly disgusts me, or it makes me wanna go for doing somethin dumb. I just started to read Ultamatum77s article.if you didnt check it out yet, you should. very many good infos and stuff http://christianchat.com/blogs/ultimatum77/10514-why-christian-should-not-celebrate-halloween.html
That was a brilliant learned piece on the study of paganism and being luke warm for the Lord. Revelation 3:14 - 22 illustrates it so well:

“And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: ‘The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God's creation. “‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see."

I'm not going to say Halloween is evil necessarily. I just think it's stupid

You know, reading this thread has me thinking.

So, we are told halloween is bad because it has pagan roots. So, should we from now on avoid candy? Or what about anything that could be considered spooky? No more scary stories around the campfire.

I mean, all these things are tied to halloween, which has ties to paganism, therefore these things are all pagan.

Oh, and we better avoid dressing up for anything ever : p

This is a vlog of a former witch testifyin against halloween. While I think its a matter of conscience ...I personally have issues with it because of it's obvious occultic entanglements.Christians are to try and avoid even the appearance of evil where possible.

Uh. huh, even wedding ceremonies tend to involve "pagan" ideas and symbols

I personally don't eat sugar and try to keep away from all things unhealthy as I believe my mind and body are the temple of God and I'm to look after them as best as I can in order to do his will. That is my career, my life's work. If I ate sugar and all things of the like, I'd be opening the door for the enemy and quickly become incapacitated in doing anything for the Lord. Jesus has given us the education to understand what diseases and conditions we're developing in unhealthy lifestyles that destroy our health, our lives and as such His will for our lives, so I try to invest in my health as much as I possibly can.

I've sat around many campfires in America over the last 3 years. We talked about Jesus, prayed with each other and discussed what we were grateful for that day in the blessings God bestowed on us. We didn't engage in conversation that invited the enemy in where we allowed satan to 'entertain' us with 'spooky stories'.

We dress up both in our sunday school and my mainstream school. We've had activities in our curriculum where we study the bible, find our fave disciple/apostle/woman etc, create the costume and perform a skit for the school illustrating why they spoke to us and what inspired us about them so much. It was so inspiring for all involved.

If you want to eat sugar, dress up for halloween, and tell spooky stories because you find that entertaining, that's your prerogative and I respect that. I just chose to live my life where Jesus takes the stage and in all my involvements big and small I try to make it about Him and ask God for discernment in what He'd like me to do. It's not a matter of legalising everything to a fruitless extreme as that's just another invite for the enemy to twist everything. That's where I'm at on my journey and I'm happy to have experienced in my life and seen in this thread that I'm not alone in these values.

Yes thank you dear. I believe we are all given certain experiences unique to ourselves which we are best able to cope with in our effort to seek/find God. God knows what each of us need to bring us to our senses ! and thanks to His great mercy and right judgement we CAN all succeed even though it is a steep long walk lasting a lifetime. God be praised !

Thanks! I'm so glad you took the time to read, study and understand everything so you're that much more further in your journey on everything! That's being fruitful! Keep living your life for Jesus, there's no other greater aspiration. He can lead you to every success and glory as my testimony reads to date, it's the best!

Naw ladyblue. I grew up without halloween and Christmas (at one point, no birthdays either because Jehovah's Witness didn't allow it). Aaaand I turned out okay I think xD I don't really eat candy either (except the rare moments I get offered mint candy) so it's really not that bad.

Israel doesn't celebrate Halloween and they're alive :p I don't think the middle east celebrates Christmas either. The point is, it's not that bad.

Thank you for this. I do eat candy but casually throughout the year although I know I should stop (my teeth got messed up but it's better now). Basically you confirmed why I want to abstain from Alcohol and like they say "don't play with fire".

Amen. at times we have to just take a stand for Jesus the way he took a stand for us. Today I was at a demonstration against sexualisation and some other points like ''same sex practices in school etc''. Some people recognised me shouting ''what are YOU doing here?'' And I shouted back ''The Lord has sent me so here I am''
We had many Christians there (which I found amazing) and many of us took a pro Jesus stand today. Tho I am completely exhausted.
I even saw the preacher today who was supposed to meet up with me. Her whole armour of self righteousness fell apart in itself when she saw me.
God took a stand for me, so I will take a stand for him..(I know I went a bit off topic)

Fact is that we arent supposed to serve two masters. I see many here keep holding on to the dang candy. Its not about the candy, its about the day. If the candy is so important to you that u go nuts and all ya might wanna check yourself out for gluttony or something. Its about the day. I eat candy when I want to and not because of a specific day lol.
Lets get real. We will be judged according to our hearts, but also we will be questioned about things we didnt do and ignored. I know people who say ''I know the bible says I shouldnt fornicate but its not a problem for me and I dont see it as a sin so it will not be held against me''
Thats bull... You cant always go by your interpretation and serving two masters will get you questioned for it. And a unteachable spirit will be held accountable for refusing to listen to God and his people. I have no more to say. I will not damn anyone for celebrating it but yet I have the responsibility to show ppl whats up. If they dont accept it they will answer for it but I WILL NOT stand before Jesus and him asking me ''why didnt you warn your brothers and sisters'' and me having to say ''I was a coward''. The fearful will die the 2nd death too. Im not gonna sugarcoat Gods word lol.
Ok I gotta get off I am getting too anxious!! hugs

Demi, it's not about the candy. Not for ALL of us, anyway..lol.. It's about HOW you celebrate a specific holiday. You CAN indeed celebrate holidays in a way that glorifies God.. :)

You've repeated several times, I think approximately four now, how no one is going to take your candy from you and you mentioned at the outset of the discussion you'll be watching scary movies on the day. If you make it about God, I've yet to see one single idea from you how you believe it does and what you're going to do to celebrate Him in instead.

I eat Halloween candy and watch scary movies on Halloween.. lol
If you think that glories God, if that's what interests you, then that's your right to do all that, some of us just have different beliefs on the matter.
