Well His kingdom here on earth is taking a long time, 2000 years so far and counting....how long is it going to take.

Perhaps you have received a sign that it is imminent:)

Yes His will that all men shall be saved, but not so they could go to Heaven. But so they would be one with Him in Christ.

Remember, Jesus left not so men could go to Heaven, but so that the Spirit of God could come here!

But you know what His will is also?

In love 5he predestined us[SUP]b[/SUP] for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, 6to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. 7In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight 9making known[SUP]c[/SUP] to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ 10as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.

Another Scripture about the will of God:

27And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because[SUP]g[/SUP] the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 28And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,[SUP]h[/SUP] for those who are called according to his purpose. 29For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.

And another one about the will of God:

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

And another one about the will of God (not being like the world)

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Notice all of these do not talk about salvation, they actually talk more about relationship and being conformed into Christ. THIS is the Will of God.

Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Yes God desires all to be saved, but also He desires to be known. And the will of God has a lot to do with our conduct towards Him as well. And that we might be His child. So yes, conversion is good, but Kingdom is where His Will is manifested, His purposes, and it's not just for heaven to come. It's also for this world now.

I haven't said ANYTHING about apostles. I said do you agree to follow Him? You say "abide in Him". But you do not say follow Him. Are you a follower or not? Do you follow the Spirit of God or not? It's a simple question. And it has nothing to do with apostles or anything similar. It has everything to do with Scripture.

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

John 10:4 When he has brought out all who are his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice.

If you follow the King, you are walking in His Kingdom. His dominion, reign and rule, and authority.

I am simply talking about the Kingdom INSIDE you.

Luke 17:21 Nor will they say, 'See here!' or 'See there!' --for the Kingdom of God is within you."

Like you said, it's not a physical kingdom, it's a spiritual one.

I agree that I am born again, saved by grace through faith and Jesus abides in me.
That is what His word tells me to do, abide in Him.

The time of the apostles is done.

Well you seem to have a lot of energy posting all your ideas and I am having a difficult time keeping up..:) and I

actually did read where Johnson said these words, so lets just put it to great minds think alike.

But I am no a fan of his, I hope you do not mind:)

Yep, we've been in the last days for 2000 years according to Scripture, but when people follow the King, His Kingdom is manifested through us and through our lives. We are being conformed into His image.

Well you are replying just as quick and I am trying to keep up with you. :)

But it's still a very solid idea, the Kingdom is about disciples, because they follow the King.
The salvation is about people being saved to GO to Heaven, but this isn't what Scripture teaches. I used to think this, but Scripture actually says the Spirit comes here in us! And through us! And He will be poured on all flesh! Amen!

Undergrace, do you operate in any of the gifts of the Spirit? I am just curious if you even believe any of them are for today.

I just want to know exactly one thing.....

Do you believe that God is working to create a His kingdom here on earth and this will happen sometime soon where all people will be believers in Jesus on this planet as it exists right now in its fallen state.

I figured you would! I just knew we had to find the connection point. I am simply saying let's follow the Spirit of God. This is what a disciple is, they follow their Teacher, well the Spirit is our Teacher. He declares what Christ declares to us! And as we agree with Him, we manifest His Kingdom on Earth.

If He says, give money to this poor person, that person experienced the Kingdom of God. Why? Because we agreed with the King. So they got to experience Him. And when they experience Him they are drawn to Him. And then they have an encounter with the King and then they follow Him. And the Spirit of God teaches them, guides them, and they follow Him.

As more believers follow the King in all the areas of the world, the world is transformed more like Heaven. I am not trying to create any Kingdom or whatever other people might say, I am simply saying let's follow the King, and whatever He is doing let's do it too! This is the example of Jesus! And this is our example as well! :)

Oh yes, I deeply desire to bring people into alignment with the Spirit of God. And to come into greater alignment myself!

Why does it always come down to the gifts of the Spirit when Paul said the greatest is Love. My effectiveness is not diminished! Good try though....

I would hope all people become believers, yes.

Isn't that what we all hope for? But I leave that to God, I just want to agree and follow Him. And teach others to do the same.

You didn't answer the question. : /

I guess I can get a little more direct. Do you believe in Cessationism? I am just trying to understand where you are coming from.

Agreed, but this does sound somewhat different than you other initial posts.

We are do as Jesus did, this is what James said to do, so that our faith is justified before men, not to build the kingdom of God on earth, you and I may part company here.

For me, when I read the Scripture that said desire prophesy and pursue love. I said okay God, I ask for prophesy, since in your Scripture you have told me to ask and desire it.

My posture has been, if the gifts are for today, and I believe they are. And they will set people free, then it is pursuing love that causes me to desire the gifts to bring the captives freedom and to build up the church.

I am not a cessationist, it is God though that provides the gift for His Glory and His purposes according to His Divine and Perfect Will, not us trying to tap into some power source.
