Yeah and the bible N.T. in particular was INSPIRED in KOINE GREEK not the Kings English....which you reject and ignore....like you do concerning the words TEMPTATION, ALL POINTS and taking truth out of context...

STILL WAITING on two scriptural references in context that distinguishes by name INTERNAL and EXTERNAL temptation.....which YOU CANNOT give as there is NO SUCH THING. You fail to see that your argument is MOOT and rejects the very tenant of WHY JESUS was tempted, ENTICED and scrutinized!
Words in the Greek can have different meanings just like in the English language. In this case, the Greek word for the English word "tempt" can be defined as "tested." This can also be seen in Modern Translations, the KJV Dictionary, and by looking up the Etymology or origin of the English word.

I hope this helps.
And May God bless you.

Also, I have been accused falsely in believing in Apollinarism. Apollinaris believed the divine and the human were combined to create a new third element. He also believed Christ had a human soul, too. I don't believe that. I believe Christ entered the shell of a body. A real body that was the flesh and blood of Mary. I believe Christ suppressed his divine attribute of Omniscience so as to be like a man.

Still waiting on two sets of scriptures that prove and state the difference between INTERNAL and EXTERNAL TEMPTATION....!

And the GREEK is very precise in application.....I posted Hebrews 4 in a literal Greek TRANSLATION which you reject and of the which contradicts your view.....WHY not post the scriptures that state that there is a difference between internal and external temptation with those exact words tied to temptation.

In fact, Scripture teaches that Christ or the Word (Who is God) came in the flesh and not in a human soul (in addition to flesh). 1 John 4:3 says we are to confess that Jesus Christ came into the flesh. If one is not willing to confess this, then they are declared as anti-christ. If the mention of a human soul was essential, surely this would be the place to mention this fact. In addition, Jesus said He came down from heaven. Now, if Jesus is a new amalgam mix of human soul and divine soul (Which sounds like Apollinarism), then why didn't He say He came down and became a new creation or some kind of amalgam mix? The Scriptures say that the fulness of the Godhead dwelled within Him bodily. The Scriptures do not say the fulness of the Godhead dwelled within him both body and soul. Furthermore, the Scriptures say, God was manifested in the flesh. Some folks here may say Jesus is God but they don't think He was God exactly in the fact that He is Holy and perfect by the fact that He is not capable of sinning or in failing in His mission to save us. The Scriptures do not say God was mixed with a human soul and body. The Scriptures say, God was manifested in the flesh.

If I make you take a math test, or physical ed test, or cooking test, are you tempted in doing wrong within those kinds of tests? Like I said. The word "tempt" is defined as "test" in the Greek and Old English.

That word suppressed contradicts what the bible teaches about what he actually did in Philippians 2:6-7 as the word is kenoo in the Greek and is passive and means (to make EMPTY) and means that the Lord remained himself, but CHANGED HIS MODE of BEING so as to lay aside the DIVINE to take the FORM of a SERVANT......He emptied himself of the GLORY which he had with the Father, laid aside the divine NATURE, changed his MODE of BEING and TOOK on himself the form of a SERVANT so as to be TEMPTED IN LIKE MANNER as we are TEMPTED.....

Instead of BELIEVING something.....BELIEVE THE WORD and WHAT JESUS stated about what he had done dia the PEN OF PAUL.

I still see no scripture, but opinion, conjecture and supposition!....JASON...you have no scripture that teaches what you propose about temptation period! And your use of suppressed is contrary and I would say see post 406, but you will reject it as you have continually done throughout this whole debacle!

No. Jesus still had power during His Earthly ministry. Jesus said He had power to quicken as the Father could quicken. Jesus said He would rise up this Temple (Which was in reference to His body). Jesus said to those believers around him that when two or more are gathered in his name, He was admist them.

Oh, and let's not forget about Hebrews 1:3, too.

You don't believe the word dude...for sure you reject the very words of God in favor of your own opinion and a saved child of God will submit to the truth and acknowledge the truth over opinion..to reject the scripture below is of Satan and not of God as God's Spirit will lead you to receive the truth not oppose it!

I believe Christ suppressed his divine attribute of Omniscience so as to be like a man. <---you

Even more importantly. During His Earthly ministry, Jesus had the power to forgive sin and give eternal life, too.
Oh, and Jesus also gives life to people by living within their heart, too. That's why Jesus said I will send you another Comforter to his disciples. For Jesus was the first Comforter. For He that has the Son has life and He that does not have the Son does not have life (1 John 5:12).

Soooooo..... are you going to just then ignore the references of Scripture that I made in regards to Jesus having power? Do you know what verses I am talking about in my first post on this subject (Post #408)? What about Hebrews 1:3?

Jason...the verses you quote cannot disregard and or dismiss the verses that I have quoted.....Jesus was ALL man and accomplished every work that he did by the SPIRIT OF GOD dwelling in him the same way that the DISCIPLES raised the dead, cured the lame, blind and sick while working the miracles that they worked as well.....

You cannot take the verses you quote and override what it actually states about Jesus and what he did because it contradicts your view....No one has said that he sinned, did evil and or walked contrary to the truth...HE IS THE PRIMO example of what a MAN CAN BE WHEN completely LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD...it does not change the fact that HE SET DOWN HIS GLORY and CHANGED HIS MODE OF BEING and BECAME A SERVANT.....TO disregard what he actually did as described in Philippians is to TAKE AWAY from JESUS that aspect that ALLOWS HIM to SYMPATHIZE with US and understand exactly what we went through!

Look, my friend. I will even help you out by providing the actual verse numbers for you to read about how Jesus had power as God during His Earthly ministry. Here you go.

John 2:19 Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days."

John 5:21 For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it.

Matthew 18:20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them."

Hebrews 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

Mark 2:7 "Why does this fellow talk like that? He's blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?"

John 4:14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life."

John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

May God bless you.
And please be well.
