Cessationism is the belief that we dont have the apostolic miraculous gifts in the church anymore. they have ceased.

One of those gifts was the ability by Christians of supernaturally speaking unlearned earthly foreign languages and converting multitudes of Jews to the Gospel via this power.

So I'm asking you has this gift ceased or not?

It's absolutely relevant.

Either answer or concede that you are at least a partial cessationist.

13 Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?”
14 And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”

I dont claim that God is doing things that He's not.

You claim people here on earth are doing things. So lets see it.

The Apostles showed everyone their gifts. So why dont you?

Any documentation of this astounding miracle?

News reports?

Independant eye witnesses?

The Jews themselves who were converted? (surely they could testify)?
I am referring to people speaking in other languages without having ever learned the language. Believe it or not the language was Hebrew spoken to some messianic Jews in Romania. I have no idea if the entire group were saved before if any one was saved afterward. All I was told is that one of the Jews came up to the minister asked him where had he learned to speak such eloquent Hebrew. Of course he had no ideo he was speaking Hebrew.

Independent witnesses? Like who? I seriously doubt a Cessationist Pastor is going stick around long enough to find if the language being spoken is an authentic language much less give an independent account.

So no evidence at all.

Thought as much.

Not even from the converted Jews.

Sorry.

Sorry.

Considering it happened in a small church in Romania where they they were lucky to have running water...

Anyways, when's the last time you took your idea of the gospel to the remote areas of the world where it could cost you your life, away from all the comforts of home and western society? Someplace where you have no other choice but to rely on God to provide for your every need? Maybe you'll believe in God for the miraculous when you are in a position to need it, rather than playing arm chair preacher in your comfy little living quaters.

Just so you know, I already have. (not trying boast)

I see you live in South Africa. Why don't you join a mission and head on up the continent for a couple of years like Livingstone? There's plenty of opportunity not far from your neck of the woods.

You want to see God move on someone's behalf? Who's behalf is better for learning than your own?

Do you have the faith to risk your life?

I have.

How did they show it... So you are saying the apostle did the miracles that they did, when ever they want?

Did the apostle had the power?

And my point about the question that I ask was, even if I show you proof, a video, a website, a writting... U still won't beleive me.... Just like people don't believe in God... unless they see him, they will believe... Just like you are doing right now, unless you see it with your own eyes, you will not beleive it..... But I tell you.... U r just like Thomas....

Change your ways my brother... Christ is coming soon

No response from DaivdM about what he thinks I believe. Maybe he is too prideful to admit he misjudged my beliefs on this subject.
