And we do not need to past the 7th...we entered the rest
We are all in the 7th day both man and God. But this does not mean that we are sharing in God's rest. God has rest on the 7th day, man does not.

Think of this...those evil workers do they now entered also in God rest.
Your problem is differentiation the methaporical to literal.
Does not the verses tlaking about the sabbath we have in Christ?
Even in this it is talking about the sabbath not the eight day.
God instructed the OT jews to honor the sabbath so that they might also enter into God's rest. But they were disobedient and not able to enter God's rest. To simplify God has rest on the 7th day because His works were good. Man does not have rest on 7th day because his works were bad.

How might we enter God's rest today? Through faith and obedience in the work of Christ alone. Rest or no rest we all still remain in the 7th day.

In addition to giving us rest, Jesus also broke through for us the 7 day cycle, and because of faith in his work we might be able to one day enjoy the riches of the 8th day.

But the 8th day is still to the future. I believe the Day of the Lord that Peter talks about in 2 Peter 3:10-13; these events encompass the eighth day, which are to the future. My feeling is that the Day of the Lord will not be a 24 hour day either.

I can see how the Day of the Lord can read like a short, maybe even 24 h day. And I think there might be reason for why God has the Word this way. So that scoffers will scoff since the truth says hidden from them.

They might say, ' Your Lord was to return soon, but where is he? Ha, I do what I please, ha!"

So you what you are saying is the anything which is invisible that is seen is nonsense, especially if that which is invisible is claims to be the same yesterday, today and ever more.

Well until confronted with the verse in Colossians which describes the Son of God being the image of the invisible God.
Yes the Son of God as eternal Spirit being in the image of our invisible God as likeness and not photo copy. God has no form.

But not the Son of man. Jesus. God is not made in the likeness of man ...We are warned not know Christ after the things seen as rudiments of this corrupted world.

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

We are looking for new heaven and earth .Again not after the rudiments of this dying world as the wrath of God being revealed from heaven.

1 Corinthians 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood (corrupted rudiments ) cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption

It would seem when he was working those first 6 days he put the new heavens and earth on the side .Hiding the new until the last day and time runs out. The Sun and the moon had served their purpose of a corrupted world.

Two beginnings created in one breath. Generations (plural) when they (plural) were made and not it (singular" when it was made..

The light at the end of the tunnel is the new glorious creation. What we are is not what we will be.

And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
These are the generations
( plural) of the heavens and of the earth when they ( plural) were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, Genesis 2:3-4

And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day (yome). (Gen 1:5 KJV)

The Hebrew word for day is yome. It means forever.

In Psalm 23v6 we read, Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever (yome)

When we read the creation account in Genesis and we come to the word "day" we need to think "yome" which means "forever."

The earth is still expanding and although we cannot see it from our tiny planet, the earth will continue to grow and expand forever.

It is our mistake for thinking yome always means 24 hours. In common parlance it does, but with regard to creation the word yome means forever or eternally.
If day 1 takes forever when it did finished? Same as day 2 to day 7.
Does forever means no end?

It is used in two ways in the Bible. Forever in respect to this life . Or forever and ever without beginning and without end as a continue work. ( no beginning or end). So the work was finished but it continues to reveal His plan or work of faith in every generation. .

Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually. Hebrews 7: 2

Here are the various meanings of yome. I did not want to complicate it.

I think one way to clarify your issue is to look at a “better” and more accurate translation of “the” in the phrase “In the beginning“ to “In a beginning.”

The closest Scripture reference to “the” beginning is in John 1:1.

there are many beginnings listed in Scripture but they are not all, “the” beginning.

So there is no forever meaning.

You can calculate it considering ff factors.
There's no 0 BC
Jesus age is 33 in hebrew
You need to know the passover on year 34 bc

Garee, the above is meaningless word salad. PLEASE take a class in basic English. Please put the effort in to learn how to write coherent and understandable sentences.

The word "yom" is translated "forever" in this one case, but assuming (or asserting) that the word therefore means "forever" in Genesis 1 is bad logic and worse hermeneutics. The word in Genesis 1 means "day". Assertions to the contrary will require significant supporting evidence.

I don't know where you get your astrophysical information, but it's simply wrong. The earth is not expanding. It's been the same size for thousands of years. Perhaps you meant "universe"?

The original hebrew text is yom, translated to day by translator who had wide knowledge in hebrew language.

The rest is reckoned from the foundation. The 6 days when he was working. . Remember the lamb of God was slain from before the 7th day . Outwardly demonstrated thousands of years later at the cross.
yeah, this is a cool point!

Yes, universe is correct. So the creation of the universe is not yet finished.

How do you figure that the creation is not yet finished? Nothing in Scripture suggests that God is still creating matter, while the opposite is strongly implied if not outright stated. The alleged expansion of the universe, if factual, is only a facet of the existing universe and not an indication that God is still creating. Rather, it is an increase in the distance between the components of the galaxy.

I think it is wonderful when we read the creation account in Genesis and see proof of God's divine inspiration right at the beginning of the Bible which has been proven by today's scientists who confirm the six geological era that took place over millions of years.
