Pure scripture twisting. You are forcing these scriptures to say something they do not say.

You are always critical, you never see anything good. That is why you cannot see the truth that they do connect but give an opinion only. You have not addressed the scriptures by using other scriptures. When you do use scripture you use it in a way that makes it look as though the scripture contradicts itself.

You cannot see that to serve God in oldness of letter means to serve Him with the old man, you cannot see that to serve God in newness of spirit is to serve Him in newness of life. All you can see is the law done away. You may refute this post but, look at your topics and posts they are all critical, they are not edifying.

You are correct and I apologize. I am brash and critical. I will try to do better. Thank you for pointing this out.

I have to commend you for this post. God Bless.

Too often we can get caught up in being right, and proving our point and forget to be edifying.

if any of you don't mine i would just like to ask you questions and sit back and listen to your point of view first question...

what is the purpose for keep the law can a believer be condemned if they don't? ( and when i say i'm not under law doesn't mean i'm lawless it's just what the grace of God does make us walk according to his ways )

Romans 7:4 KJV
(4) Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
Galatians 2:19 KJV
(19) For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.

Notice that both of these texts do noy say the law is dead, they say we are dead to the law. Being dead to the law does not mean we do not have to keep the law or that it is done away. It means we are no longer controlled by sin, we are not condemned because of Christ who gained the victory.

Romans 7:4 says we become dead to the law by the body of Christ.
Galatians 2:19 teaches being dead to the law we live unto God.

Certainly none are saved by works, yet faith without works is dead.

Yaaqob 2:26, "For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so the faith without works is dead also."

Yaaqob 2:18, "Yes, a man may say: You have faith, and I have works. Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works!"

Works are the proof of true faith. If we do works of our own standard and they do not match the standard of Yahweh;s Law, they are worthless, Messiah showed this:

Isayah 42:21, "Yahweh is well-pleased, for His righteousness' sake, to magnify the Law, and make it honorable"

Mattithyah 5:20-30, ""For I say to you: Unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will certainly not enter into the Kingdom of Yahweh. You have heard that it was said by the people of ancient times: You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment; But I say to you: Whoever is angry with his brother will be in danger of the judgment! Again, anyone who says; Raca! insulting your brother, will be in danger of the Sanhedrin, but whoever says: Nabel! desiring them to fall away, will be in danger of the fire of Gehenna. Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar, and there you remember that your brother has something against you; Leave your gift there before the altar, and go first and be reconciled with your brother; then come and offer your gift. Settle a controversy with your accuser quickly, before he gets you into court; or your adversary may deliver you to the judge, the judge deliver you to the officer, and you be put into prison. Truly I say to you: You will never come out of there until you have paid the last penny. You have heard that it was said by the people of ancient times: You shall not commit adultery; But I say to you: Whoever looks on a woman with lust for her, has already committed adultery with her in his heart. So if your right eye causes you to offend; sin, gouge it out and throw it from you! For it is better for you that one of your members perish, than for the whole body to be cast into Gehenna. Or if your right hand causes you to offend, cut it off and throw it from you! For it is better for you that one of your members perish, than for the whole body to be cast into Gehenna."

A true follower of Messiah has faith in Yahshua and obedience to Yahweh's Law.

Remove either of these and one is on dangerous ground.

Revelation 14:12, "In this manner are the saints purified--by keeping the Laws of Yahweh, in conformity with the faith in Yahshua Messiah."

1785. entolé
Definition: an ordinance, injunction, command, law.

Not only does the Law show us we are in a dire need of a savior, but it also shows us how Yahweh wants us to be.

Exodus 20:6, "But showing love to thousands who love Me by keeping My Laws."

Yahchanan 14:15, "If you love Me, keep My commandments."

(Acts 1:2 KJV) Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

(1 Cor 7:19 KJV) Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.

(1 Cor 14:37 KJV) If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.

(Eph 2:15 KJV) Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

(Col 4:10 KJV) Aristarchus my fellowprisoner saluteth you, and Marcus, sister's son to Barnabas, (touching whom ye received commandments: if he come unto you, receive him;)

(1 Th 4:2 KJV) For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.

(Titus 1:14 KJV) Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

(1 John 2:3 KJV) And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

(1 John 2:4 KJV) He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

(1 John 3:22 KJV) And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

(1 John 3:24 KJV) And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

(1 John 5:2 KJV) By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

(1 John 5:3 KJV) For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

(2 John 1:6 KJV) And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

(Rev 12:17 KJV) And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

(Rev 14:12 KJV) Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

(Rev 22:14 KJV) Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

be the same as this?

I don't know could it be possible that it is something else? I mean we both did read that the law is not made for a righteous man, so what law is being spoken of in revelation certainly can't be the 10 commandments because according to the scripture that is not made for the righteous man

Yes it takes faith to follow Yahweh;s Law, without the faith that allows for Yahweh;s Spirit to guide us one will be against the Law of Yahweh:

Romans 8:5-8, "For those who live according to the flesh, set their minds on the things of the flesh; but those who live according to the Spirit, set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against; (bitterly opposed to), Yahweh; for it his not subject to the Law of Yahweh, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are of the flesh cannot please Yahweh."

This part:

Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

Who were these teaches Shaul was talking about? The pharisees were the teachers of the "law" in this time, they completely destroyed it, Yahshua taught it correctly.

Or if your right hand causes you to offend, cut it off and throw it from you! For it is better for you that one of your members perish, than for the whole body to be cast into Gehenna."

"[SUP]8 [/SUP]But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
[SUP]9[/SUP]Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man
"

Its like you completely ignore the verse before it:

"But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully"

What does this mean?

The Law is beneficial if one FOLLOWS it.

"Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man"

If mankind automatically did all the Law said there would be no need of Law, but since man has gone astray Yahweh has to put guidelines up.

Do you continue to read past the part where you think it means you can reject Law?

"but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
[SUP]10 [/SUP]For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;"

Shaul uses the term "
contrary to sound doctrine" hmmm, well all these things are also contrary to Yahweh's Law, do you think Shaul thinks sound doctrine and Yahweh's Law are in perfect harmony?

and yes, Revelation 14:12, "In this manner are the saints purified--by keeping the Laws of Yahweh, in conformity with the faith in Yahshua Messiah."

Is talking about Yahweh;s Law, that is why it says, Yahweh's (God's) Law. Also Law is the word:

1785. entolé
Definition: an ordinance, injunction, command, law.

entole is used in the Septuagint for torah, aka Yahweh's Law.

Josh you isolate verses written by Paul, who is the only Scripture writer to be called hard to understand and easy to twist.

And you do just that, you twist.

I have a challenge for you.

Read through the entire "NT" excluding Paul and see if you think the Law should not be followed.

Not that there is anything wrong with his writings, but they are easy to misunderstand, and if the doctrine of we shouldn't follow Yahweh's Law is true, then it would be evident from any Scripture writer, not just Paul/

Mattithyah 7:23, "But then I will declare to them; I never knew you. Get away from Me, you who practice iniquity."

iniquity is:#0458 ἀνομία anomia {an-om-ee'-ah} from G0459

Greek Word Study (Transliteration-Pronunciation Etymology & Grammar)
1) the condition of without law
1a) because ignorant of it
1b) because of violating it
2) contempt and violation of law, iniquity, wickedness

It is not about following the law, we follow Christ and do the things He says and remember all the Bible reveals Jesus.

*Luke 6:46 KJV*
And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
Mattithyah 5:19, "Whosoever, therefore, will break one of the least of these Laws, and will teach men so, he will be called the least in the Kingdom of Yahweh; but whosoever will do and teach them, the same will be called great in the Kingdom of Yahweh."

Luke 16:17, "But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one yodh of the Law to fail."

Yahshua says these are the greatest Commandments, NOT THE ONLY! If that werent enough He clearly states all the Law hang on these 2.

Mattithyah 22:37-40, "Yahshua said to him: You must love Yahweh your Father with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

Shaul clearly understands what the Messiah means and explains it here:

Romans 13:9, "For the commandments: You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not bring false testimony, You shall not covet, and all other commandments are briefly summed up in these Laws; namely: You must love your neighbor as yourself."

All as in even the ones he didn't list...

Try breaking Leviticus 19:17 and still be loving your neighbor according to Messiah.

And try breaking the 4th Commandment and still be loving Yahweh.

Exodus 20:6, "But showing love to thousands who love Me by keeping My Laws."

Mattithyah 19:17-21, "But He said to him: Why do you question Me about righteousness? There is only One Who is the standard of perfection, and that is Yahweh; so if you would enter into life, keep the 1Laws of Yahweh. He then asked Yahshua; Which ones? Yahshua said: You shall not murder. you shall not ccommit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false testimony. Honor your father and mother, and; You shall love your neighbor as yourself. The young man said to Him; All these things I have kept from my youth up; what do I yet lack? Yahshua said to him: If you want to come to the perfection, go and sell of what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and you will be walking in Yahweh's ways, and following Me."

Deuteronomy 10:12-13, "And now, O Israyl, what does Yahweh your Father require of you, but to reverence Yahweh your Father by walking in all His ways, by loving Him, by serving Yahweh your Father with all your heart, and with all your soul. By keeping the Laws of Yahweh, with His statutes, which I command you this day, so that you may be blessed?"

1 Yahchanan 5:2-3, "By this we know that we love the children of Yahweh: When we love Yahweh by keeping His Laws. For this is the love of Yahweh: That we keep His Law, and His Law is not grievous."

Mattithyah 22:37, "Yahshua said to him: You must love Yahweh your Father with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might."

1 Corinthians 2:9, "But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the mind of man the things which Yahweh has prepared for those who love Him."

It is not about following the law, we follow Christ and do the things He says and remember all the Bible reveals Jesus.

*Luke 6:46 KJV*
And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
I'm going to a prayer meeting now though let's finish this later and please answer the question that I wrote on my other post, the bible said the law wasn't made for a righteous man so what is the purpose of it? and you cannot tell me that means we can " sin freely " no one who has the seed of God in them can live in Sin anymore, hmm but if the seed of God is within the believers and they cannot live in Sin anymore where does the law come in? think about it before you answer but brb

[h=3]1 John 3:9[/h]New Living Translation (NLT)

[SUP]9 [/SUP]Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life[SUP][a][/SUP] is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God.

do you see ho close the gospel is? and how hard it is to understand without he holy spirit? anyone reading this will say wow I gotta follow the law perfectly because I can't Sin anymore but then, they get to another verse of the bible and see

[h=3]Romans 7:4[/h]King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]4 [/SUP]Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

so this is where the confusion comes from for some people, because one says to Sin is to transgress against the law and one says one born of God cannot Sin and another Says that we are dead to the law, this is where people get confused I would be too if I didn't understand the grace of God or if he didn't revealed it to me through salvation, I really must go though but I will explain what is what when I get back, but let this be a foundation for us to discuss I really want to make you understand

Can anyone claim to be righteous? Those in Christ are dead to the law, they do not come under the condemnation of the lae because they are in Christ.
