Let me enlighten those of you who use the foreign names to refer to God.. THAT is why some of us (such as myself), don't come in here much. It's too dang confusing to see Yahweh, YHWH, Yeshua, etc etc being used in place of God or Jesus. As I stated before, not everyone here knows other languages, and/or the foreign names for God, henceforth we don't learn as much about the bible or God, as we could if y'all could use ENGLISH WORDS to refer to him. I'm sorry we're not all as learned as hizikiah, e-g or crossnote, but that's just how it is. We all have a different level of understanding when it comes to language. just sayin'... :/

Just for the record, the name of our Abba, Father is ובכן in Hebrew, and Yah as transliterated to English, with the full English name being Yahuah, which sounds like Yahuwah.

That's understandable, as for we were raised up believing things the way we were taught.
Do you not know how to unlearn the ways of the world that we might learn His ways?

I was brought up believing on the names you speak of all the way to this year, where I looked deeper, seeking His face, and more light was revealed to me as a result.

He is a keeper of His promises. The more you seek of Him, the more He will reveal himself to you.

We are all equal, a little book knowledge does no make one a proper servant of the Lamb. Applying the knowledge learned in the Scriptures is what matters. sincere love in Messiah, `Hiz

"For we have found this man (Paul) a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes" Acts 24:5

Definition of SECT
1a : a dissenting or schismatic religious body; especially : one regarded as extreme or heretical
b : a religious denomination
2archaic : sex 1 <so is all her sect — Shakespeare>
3a : a group adhering to a distinctive doctrine or to a leader
b : party
c : faction

Jerome (4th Century "church father") described these Nazarenes as those "...who accept Messiah in such a way that they do not cease to observe the old Law." (Jerome; On. Is. 8:14).

John (Yahchanan 15:4-6, "Abide in Me, and I in you. Just as the branch cannot produce fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, produces much fruit; but without Me, you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away like a branch, and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned."

Acts 24:14, "But I confess this to you, that after the way which they call heresy--so I worship the Father of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets."

Romans 7:25, "Thanks be to Yahweh, I have deliverance through Yahshua Messiah our King! So then, with this same mind, I myself serve the Law of Yahweh, while in the flesh that is yet subject to the law of sin."

Acts 21:24, "Take them, and be purified with them, and pay their expenses so that they may shave their heads. Then everyone will know that those things they were informed about you (forsaking the Law), were lies, and that you, yourself, walk orderly, and keep the Law."

This is a verse that woke me up;

Micah 4:5, "For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever."

Micahyah (Micah) 4:5, "For all people walk each in the name of his god (430 - elohim), but we will walk in the Name of Yahweh (3068 - Yhwh) our Father forever and ever."

What kind of logic is this? Sincerely I would like to know. You have every right not to respond to threads that are over your head, as there are many threads more geared to "socializing". Why complain if new information is presented? Wouldn't you like to learn something?

Respectfully I ask, have you considered how many men women and children have given their lives to ensure that our Creator's Words would get into the hands of the next generation? We are living in exciting times, as knowledge is increasing, and unlimited resources I can utilize for further study so far above what was available to my grandmother, or mother for that matter. And you are complaining about it? I just do not get that at all.

We are standing on the shoulders of all those who have given their very lives to get the Word of Almighty into our hands, and if you don't care to make some effort to study what is available, please have consideration for those who are hungry to know and understand more.

You're awesome! Haven't had much time to read this thread yet, tho I will..YaH willing. Thanks brother and carry on. I love His Name, and want to know more!

What got me thinking on it was about a year ago, that verse about calling on His Name..and I didn't know what it was I'm ashamed to say. So I ask Him to show me...it's been a joyful learning experience ever since. I'm sure you know, our Father always gives us way more than we deserve or can even think to ask for. We are a little bit awesome, created in His image. He is a whole lot AWESOME!

YES, Karraster, of course I care. And I DO want to learn more..if you even read my post, what I said is it's difficult when SO MANY names are used for God. Especially those in foreign languages. Sorry but I'm NOT learning Hebrew or Greek just to understand those names. There's no reason why people here can't refer to him as God, Lord, or Jesus for those of us who don't understand other languages. All the more power to those who are hungry to know him but stop confounding the rest of us!!

Mattithyah 23:39, "For I say to you: From this moment you will not see Me, until you say: Blessed is He Who comes in the Name of Yahweh!"
My understanding is, that's part of the reason the religious leaders were so infuriated with Him, because He was using the proper Name. They had forbidden it to be spoken, it ruffled their feathers..was not in line with "their tradition" ... much like today as I see from this thread.:)

100%

But our Savior trampled on evey pharisees/man made ordinance while perfectly upholding the Law of Yahweh! Thank Yah for His Lamb! Perfect teachings and the greatest work offered to mankind, mercy.

This is exactly true. In fact, I believe it is somewhere in Acts that one was being tried for doing the same... speaking the name of Yah.

The same can be expected today, and to get even worse as we get closer to His return.

unless you post every word in hebrew, just writing a name in hebrew to be honest, is offensive, phariseeic, and makes me gag (I am sure it makes God Gag also)

either write everything in hebrew, or write everything in english, or write it in greek. I do not care (I Know God does not also)

otherwise you come across as puffing yourself up as to how much better you are than everyone else. which is sickening.
You are constantly laying down rules for other people and I am so glad I don't worship you. That's how religious leaders act, always making up rules..but when one obeys and worships the One True Almighty, they are free, free from circus people that keep adding hoops to jump thru, ring after ring of circus hoops. Following Messiah is not a religion, it's a life choice.

You are wrong on so many levels..but again I ask, why do you feel obligated to post on threads not to your liking? There are many threads I could derail for reason of "me". If we truly have consideration for one another we do not try to impose our will on them. Some of us do not have all day to read thru the back and forth whining/bickering. Please, go ahead and have the last word if you want and I will focus on these wonderful verses posted here today.:)
