Ok.... so if someone does not speak English, they have the right to assign you any name they choose?

It's not that hard to study and learn His name, which if you truly love someone, I think you would want to know their name.

ברוך הוא מי שבא בשם יה
My name Brendan translates to Bruno in Italian. If I were to go to Italy I wouldn't expect them to call me by my English name, that's unreasonable.

Sorry I wouldn't say unreasonable, but I would understand who they were talking to if they called me Bruno.

Now see, these characters have no meaning for me, because I don't know Hebrew or Greek or whatever language that is. I KNOW what his name is--I call him Jesus Christ. :) Not everyone here is as smart as some of you who know other languages. Guess that makes me a dummy now, right? At least I can compromise and call God by a name ALL can understand..just sayin'... :)

Exodus 3:15, "THIS IS MY NAME FOREVER-- and this is MY MEMORIAL: the Name by which I am to be remembered by, from generation to generation, for all generations."
Mattithyah 23:39, "For I say to you: From this moment you will not see Me, until you say: Blessed is He Who comes in the Name of Yahweh!"

Who said that?

Was Joseph the actual name of the child of Issac. in fact. was Issac his real name, or how about Abraham.

do you think they get all mad and angry because we call them by their interpreted names, and not their actual names?

Is the loving God of heaven who loved us so much, he sent his son to die for us when we were his enemy going to get man because we call him by his english name?

For that matter, what did God call himself to Adam? Hebrew was not even a language then. it is a semetic language (most likely Moses did not even speak pure hebrew, but most likely a mix of hebrew and what ever language his father in law spoke when he left egypt.

did God even call himself YHWH to Moses. or did he use his Aramaic name? And moses, when writing the OT in Hebrew, Used the hebrew translation of his name? we do not know. you can not prove anything.

So why do people get upset on somethign which can not even be proven!

Your no dummy, and studying another language does not make one smart.

I study hebrew and greek because that is the original language, I simply want to learn truth.

All can understand Yahweh is His name, a 2 min explanation can make one understand, and a study will reveal it is truth, unless they fight it tooth and nail.

All it takes is one Scripture:

Isayah 42:8, "I am Yahweh, that is MY NAME; and My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to graven images."

Matt wrote his book in Hebrew.

There is a hebrew version that is more original in content than any greek Matt.

And Paul used YHWH 1 time in Corinthians.

I do not feel worthy but I do want to follow the Lamb of YHWH with all my strength. When I began to really know Yah I had such a great comfort, it was amazing. I had been "saved" for more than 10 years, but it was not until I really grabbed hold of what He was trying to show me that I actually began to know Him and that is when the greatest comfort I have ever know came upon me, as opposed to "knowing" a version of Him that was created for me by the world....

And I can honestly say the same to you, "truly you are baruk of ha'Mashiah, and show the zeal of seeking after His face" because while I dont know you I can say it seems quite obvious that you seek truth over anything else. A love for the truth!

may YHWH strengthen us and guide us to His will!

2 Timothy 4:3-4, "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts they will heap to themselves teachers, who will tickle their ears. And they will turn away their ears from the truth, and will be turned to fables."

Many don't love Yahweh enough to diligently seek His truth and choose to let their pastor tell them about Yah:

Isayah 66:17, "They who sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens, following after the one in the center of those who eat swine's flesh, that which is offered to gods and the rodent--will be consumed together: says Yahweh."

They love their tradition more than truth:

Mattithyah 15:3, "But He answered, and said to them: And why do you transgress the Laws of Yahweh by your traditions?"

2 Thessalonians 2:10-11, "And with all deceivableness of sin in those who are perishing, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason, Yahweh will send them strong delusion, that they would believe the deception."

Romans 1:20, "For since the creation of the world, the invisible things of Him are clearly seen--His eternal, power and holiness- -being understood by the things that are written; so that they are without excuse."

Hosheyah 4:6, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you will be no priest to Me. Because you have forgotten the Law of Yahweh, I will also forget your children."

That was not what I was implying at all, I was simply giving a compliment to his efforts based on his research.
Is it wrong to compliment someone on their efforts?

All this discussion for me has been trumped by the fact I've have seen with my own eyes demons flee at the name of Jesus in the physical and spiritual. In the real world, when practice contradicts theory, people acknowledge they were wrong and dump the theory unless their too proud to do so or whatever. Much like the doctrine people carry that miracles were only for the apostles time. Try telling to to my guys at church who just came back from the dirt in India.

Genesis 12:8, "And he went from there to the hill east of Beth El, and he pitched his tent there; Beth El was to the west of him, and Ai was to the east. There he built an altar to Yahweh, and there he prayed with the Name of Yahweh."

Exodus 23:13, "In all things I have said to you, be careful to do them, and make no mention of the name of "gods" (elohim), neither let it be heard from your mouth."

That's wise. It makes no sense, to be taking on the bondage of having to dye those Hebrew roots.

This is actually not a "debate" but simply declaring His name before the people.
I seek to give glory, honor and praise to His name.
