I know the serpent is the devil
  1. www.biblehub.com › hebrew › 5060Strong's Hebrew: 5060. נָגַע (naga) -- to touch, reach, strike

Strong's Exhaustive Concordance. A primitive root; properly, to touch, i.e. Lay the hand upon (for any purpose; euphem., to lie with a woman); by implication, to reach (figuratively, to arrive, acquire); violently, to strike (punish, defeat, destroy, etc.) -- beat, (X be able to) bring (down), cast, come (nigh), draw near (nigh), get up, happen, join, near, plague, reach (up), smite, strike, touch.
  2. biblehub.com › greek › 680Strong's Greek: 680. ἅπτομαι (haptomai) -- touch.

touch. Reflexive of hapto; properly, to attach oneself to, i.e. To touch (in many implied relations)
Genisus 20: 1And Abraham journeyed from thence toward the south country, and dwelled between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar. 2And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah. 3But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man's wife. 4But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, Lord, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation? 5Said he not unto me, She is my sister? and she, even she herself said, He is my brother: in the integrity of my heart and innocency of my hands have I done this. 6And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her. 7Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine.

The Children of the Devil John 6
42Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. 43Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. 44Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 45And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. 46Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me? 47He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

I know the serpent is the devil

That's true, but if you don't mine, let's dig in a little deeper in the scriptures and find the devil. The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God: Behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee: With thy wisdom and with thine understanding thou hast gotten thee riches, and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures: (Ezekiel 28:1-3)

This is not an ordinary man, notice the clue. Thou are wiser than Daniel? The prince of Tyrus is a Gentile, how can he be wiser than Daniel when it comes to the word of God. Israel possesses the oracles/word of God. Remember that Satan is the god of the Gentiles that have not came under the commonwealth of Israel. This man is Satan; Satan is wiser than Daniel take a look.

Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.( Ezekiel 28: 12-13)

Do you recall the king of Tyrus in the Garden of Eden? I do recall the serpent which is called the devil and also Satan. Let's see who this really is.

Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. (Ezekiel 28:14-15)

Now we see this is not a man, but a cherub angel. In some cases the Lord calls angels men. But notice something; this cherub which is Satan had some authority. He actually was on the mountain of God, until he sinned. We should pay close attention to that. What happened when Satan sinned against God?

Take a look
.

By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty; thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground; I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. (Ezekiel 28:16)

What happened when he got full of himself? He was thrown out. When the Lord blesses us with knowledge, wisdom and also understanding be careful not to get full of yourself and forget whose blessings it is and were it came from. It is the Lord's, not our own. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. (Luke 10:18-20)

In Hebrew, “heed” is the same as “obey”. Adam obeyed his wife instead of God.
What did she say tho ?
What would you say to your spouse if you were suddenly poisoned and dying?

Help?
Don't leave me?
Save me?

She definitely did not deceive him, the epistle to Timothy totally negates any such idea.

Adam was created sinless. Angels were created sinless. The Word moved into a body prepared by God and became the only begotten of the Father, those who believe on Jesus become new sinless creatures in Christ. All the above are sons of God...sinless.
EXCEPT for the sons of God who fell from Grace and therefore can never be saved since they were angels with full knowledge of Elohim.

Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.

And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.” There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

Question: How does "heeded" relate to "pressure"?

Answer: It doesn't.
I've been married for 30 years - there can be "pressure" in my wife's voice, and i love her and we get along great.
The Good News is that she loves me and her "pressure" is usually a Good thing for me to listen too for she has the indwelling Holy Spirit as i do = great prayer partner and encouragement.

Still you have provided no support for your claim of "pressure". One only "obeys" a superior authority, whereas Eve had equal authority.

Listening to your wife is, of course, a good thing. Listening and doing what she says when it contradicts what God has clearly said, as Adam did, is not a good thing. Adam was under no "pressure" at all from her; CYN's assertion remains completely without scriptural support.

No she didn't. "You desire shall be for your husband('s authority), and he shall rule over you." Adam, being the authority figure, failed act as the authority figure. She gave to him the forbidden fruit which he shall not eat, and she talked him into eating it, that was pressure.

Her desire shall be for her husband's authority? Which translation is that?

That's what it really means, your desire shall be CONTRARY to your husband or for the leadership position of your husband, to smash the patriarchy, the origin of feminism, and it's doomed to be futile, because "he shall rule over you." Otherwise what sense does it make?

Adam was not deceived. Not by Satan, and not by his wife.

Does 'caving under pressure from emotional blackmail' agree with that fact?

He listened to her, and while it's just speculation, I think what she said to him was something like 'don't leave me' or 'help'
There're quite a few examples. Reuben, as the firstborn, intended to save Joseph, but he was overruled by his brothers; Aaron caved in to the pressure of building a golden calf; Herod beheaded John the Baptist at the behest of his daughter; and the most striking example was Pilate, multiple times he declared Jesus innocent, and he knew very well that the high priests were using him, by no mean would he release a terrorist over Jesus, but he surrendered to the mob and crucified the Lord. In all these cases, the authority figures caved in to pressure and did the wrong thing against their will, it's reasonable to assume that Adam was caught up in the same position. Yes, of course he was not deceived, he got the word from God directly, he knew better, but he ate the fruit anyway.

We are told Jesus went to/endured the cross "for the joy set before Him." :D

Hebrews 12:1-3
:)
Yes, I tried to qualify my statement with "personally" with this in mind fully aware that the opportunity would present itself for further epexegesis. Jesus dying, btw for the world, was an unselfish gift. And though it offers the reward of the bride, it doesn't guarantee it considering she, that is each one of us, must reciprocate with our own gift of ourselves. After all, if love is bought then it really isn't love. He gave His life for each one of us, individually, as if we were the only one... but many have 'rewarded' Him with their rejection.

Christ's reward is his Bride, the Church,
which will believers of the report of Him that is True all kindreds all nations of people.
The bride 'gives' herself to Him, and also unselfishly if she approaches the altar with authentic sentiment. This is not so much a 'reward' but a reciprocation of His love.

Something about Adam's transgression made him a type of Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
Yes, Jesus death provides life for the world, Adam's life provided death for the world.
