Only the sheep that want protection. Scary deal is that most don't.
They love slobbering wolves with mouths full of mutton. Go figure!

I am going to cause a bit of trouble here, but there you go.
Firstly where is this heaven that we all go to, Jesus came to fulfil the Law not replace it so why then should all the old testament people "Sleep with their fathers"? And where does it say we go to heaven? where does Jesus say anything about heaven?
And Jesus moment on the cross with the thief? When considering everything else scripture says about time meaning nothing to those who are dead, this can be taken in the same vain.
Next lets have a look at animals (sorry if this is spoiling all your fun but these things are important) I will take Job as an example, He lost everything including His children, all except for his wife. When in the end God replenishes what He lost with double again, his animal count was double where his children were only replaced child for child.
When Jesus returns and brings His Fathers Kingdom into being in the "Last day" Job will have double his sons and daughters there, just as Abraham will see his descendants more numerous than the "sand on the sea shore", I am sure Job had sheep dogs and loved them dearly, but as a matter of course I do not believe God will bring back animals. All though, as my mother told me when our dog died when I was 5 yrs old, "God will not withhold anything from those that love Him". and it is His Kingdom.

actually they don't. God did not spccifically breathe life into them like He did into man.
You contradict Scripture.

Surely the fate of human beings is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath; humans have no advantage over animals.

I'm just wondering cuz they do such a good job protecting the sheep from the wolves and other predators.
If they did, according to that idea, they'd get into heaven by works and not by God's mercy.

This reminds me of a post I was going to make about my dog.

If god is holy and is in all things. And all things include my dog.

Do I have a holy dog?

I'm not sure if your dog is holy but it is probably a good dog.

What I really wanna know is....what are some examples of sheepdog or Ram (as GIS described it) like behavior from the bible? Did they go to heaven?
I don't think you caught my metaphor. The sheepdogs are not good. They pretend to be part of the flock, but the sheepdog is not part of the flock, he is a canine, he is a wolf. The dog's tools are his bark and his bite. His flattery, lies, and sweet talk are his bark. His intimidation, threats, and carnal weapons and violence are his bite.

The ram is a sheep, part of the flock, but he is manly and has his horns. He has two horns, Judgment and Mercy which are his power. Rams are noble animals, but dogs are filthy creatures. The dogs are discomfited at the sight of a zealous and manly ram's horns and are afraid of his Judgment and despise his Mercy.

Best example I can think of is young Stephen fighting manly-wise like a strong ram against an entire pack of wolves and sheepdogs. His wise Judgment cut their hearts and it is written they did gnash their teeth upon him! With his Mercy drove he off death, and fell asleep until the day of the Shepherd.

No, a sheepdog is just a wolf pretending to be a sheep. The dog is also a predator. Dogs are filthy animals and they oppress the flock with flattering barking or sharp teeth of biting. The manly ram defends his ewe and his lambs and charges forth in his zeal jeopardizing his own life to push the filthy dogs away with his horns and suffers many bites until the shepherd returns to break the skulls of the dogs with a rod of iron.
Exactly what flavor Kool-Aid is it that your drinking? If it wasn't for sheepdogs you'd be a German-speaking muslim right about now living in even more social slavery than you currently are. Many good Christian men and Christian women died to defend your liberty, and I rejoice in their salvation. Or is the power of Jesus not good enough for you regarding such people?

I got what you were saying. I repped you for it. I agree with it in part. I know some pretty good folks that I consider to be sheepdogs and they are far from filthy vile creatures.

Lol haven't drank Kool-aid since I was a kid. Pretty sure them sheepdogs crucified Jesus, though indeed, let's see what the Bible says about dogs.

Matthew 7:6

[SUP]6 [/SUP]Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Der Hund ist nichts gut.

Yea, me and sirk discussing highly flavorful metaphors and the others debating whether to baptize dogs or not.

EDIT: Also to end the latter debate, Revelation 22:15.
