Do we follow the teaching of Jesus Christ (the Teacher.?) Or should we simply follow His Example?

This couple of questions here is oxymoronic.

You cannot know anything to follow as an Example if you do not know what and how according to the Master. By the way,
Master is another of the titles of our Lord which is the equivalent of Teacher......

Bible says: Math. 28, 18-20
And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Of course Jesus' commandments will be followed by the power of Holy Spirit in the new creation in Christ

John 13:34 (NASB)
[SUP]34 [/SUP] "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

This is the will of the Father concerning the Lord Jesus Christ and it is a commandment as well.

John 6:40 (NASB)
[SUP]40 [/SUP] "For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day."

The commandment is to preach Christ and believe in all that He has done.

( It is not to tell everyone to sell all that you have and give it away, it is not to cut off body parts or gouge your eyes out because they cause you to stumble. - we need to rightly divide His words )

I suppose Jesus taught them far more, as you mentioned. And we must confess. We were no eye witnesses. They had a 3 years training! So the scripture is enough for us!!
