In Jeremiah 31:31 we are told God will make a new covenant, a new covenant with Israel not with the gentiles.

Gentiles speak of a new covenant as if it is if it is with them and it wipes out Old Testament scripture.
Scripture tells us God is eternal. If God is eternal and tells us of eternal principles a new covenant would add t0, not wipe out.

Most are taught and teach that the Messiah did away with all of th "OT", yet much of the prophecy in the "OT" is not YET fulfilled.

They says "it is done" not knowing there are 2 "it is done" statements:

Luke 24:44-46, “And He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all have to be fulfilled that were written in the Law, the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me. Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and said to them, “Thus it has been written, and so it was necessary for the Messiah to suffer and to rise again from the dead the third day.”

Luke 4:17-21, “And the scroll of the prophet Yeshayahu was handed to Him. And having unrolled the scroll, He found the place where it was written: “The Spirit of יהוה is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to bring the Good News to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send away crushed ones with a release, to proclaim the acceptable year of יהוה.” (Isa 61:1-3) And having rolled up the scroll, He gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all in the congregation were fixed upon Him. And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture has been filled in your hearing.”

Fulfilled already- To be fulfilled in the future

Isaiah 61:1-11, "61:1, “The Spirit of the Master יהוה is upon Me, because יהוה has anointed Me to bring good news to the meek. He has sent Me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim release to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound,"61:2, "to proclaim the acceptable year of יהוה, and the day of vengeance of our Mighty One, to comfort all who mourn,"61:3, "to appoint unto those who mourn in Tsiyon: to give them embellishment for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. And they shall be called trees of righteousness, a planting of יהוה, to be adorned."61:4, "And they shall rebuild the old ruins, raise up the former wastes. And they shall restore the ruined cities, the wastes of many generations."61:5, "And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the foreigner be your plowmen and your vine dressers."61:6, "But you shall be called, ‘Priests of יהוה,’ ‘Servants of our Mighty One’ shall be said of you. You shall consume the strength of the nations, and boast in their esteem."61:7, "Instead of your shame and reproach, they rejoice a second time in their portion. Therefore they take possession a second time in their land, everlasting joy is theirs."61:8, "“For I, יהוה, love right-ruling; I hate robbery for ascending offering. And I shall give their reward in truth, and make an everlasting covenant with them."61:9, "“And their seed shall be known among the nations, and their offspring in the midst of the peoples. All who see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed יהוה has blessed.”"61:10, "I greatly rejoice in יהוה, my being exults in my Mighty One. For He has put garments of deliverance on me, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels."61:11, "For as the earth brings forth its bud, as the garden causes the seed to shoot up, so the Master יהוה causes righteousness and praise to shoot up before all the nations!”

Isaiah 45:21-22, “Declare and bring near, let them even take counsel together. Who has announced this from of old? Who has declared it from that time? Is it not I, יהוה? And there is no mighty one besides Me, a righteous Power and Savior, there is none besides Me. Turn to Me and be saved, all you ends of the earth! For I am Strength, and there is none else.”

Isaiah 46:10, “Declaring the end from the beginning, and from of old that which has not yet been done, saying, ‘My counsel does stand, and all My delight I do.”

There are 2 "it is done" statements...

Fulfilled already
John 19:30, “So when
יהושע took the sour wine He said, “It is done!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.”

Fulfilled already- To be fulfilled in the future

1. Passover/First-fruits – Yahshua's Sacrifice(Passover), burial and resurrection (First Fruits – presenting Himself to YHWH)
2. Feast of Unleavened Bread – Removal of sin by Yahshua's perfect work as the Passover Sacrifice
3. Feast of Weeks – The blessing Holy Spirit of YHWH, coming into our lives stronger than ever

4. Feast of Trumpets – Yahshua's return and gathering of the Saints
5. Day of Atonement – Yahshua leads the army of YHWH to destroy evil rulers of this world and satan is chained for 1,000 years
6. Feast of Tabernacles – Yahshua dwells on earth for 1,000 years teaching truth and righteousness
7. The Last Great Day – satan is loosed and swiftly destroyed, the Kingdom of YHWH reigns forever

To be fulfilled in the future
Revelation 21:4-8, “And Yah shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, nor mourning, nor crying. And there shall be no more pain, for the former matters have passed away. And He who was sitting on the throne said, “See, I make all matters new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and trustworthy. And He said to me, “It is done! I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the Beginning and the End. To the one who thirsts I shall give of the fountain of the water of life without payment. The one who overcomes shall inherit all this, and I shall be his Strength and he shall be My son. But as for the cowardly, and untrustworthy, and abominable, and murderers, and those who whore, and drug sorcerers, and idolaters, and all the false, their part is in the lake which burns with fire and sulphur, which is the second death.”

YOu mentioned the prophecy of the new covenant; how could the law be done away in any fashion if it is supposed to be in our hearts in the new covenant?

Jeremiah 31:33, "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israyl: After those days, says YHWH: I will put My Law (Torah/Instructions) in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts, and I will be their Strength, and they will be My people."

Hebrews 10:16, "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says YHWH: I will put My Law into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them.”

in fact it is not done away:

Mat 5:18, "I say to you; Unless heaven and earth passes away, one yodh; the smallest of the letters will in no way pass from the Law, until all things are perfected."

Revelation 21:1, "I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away."

Revelation 22:11-15, “He who does wrong, let him do more wrong; he who is filthy, let him be more filthy; he who is righteous, let him be more righteous; he who is set-apart, let him be more set-apart. And see, I am coming speedily, and My reward is with Me, to give to each according to his work. “I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. Blessed are those doing His commands, so that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of life, and to enter through the gates into the city. But outside are the dogs and those who enchant with drugs, and those who whore, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and all who love and do falsehood.”

According to Paul anyone who has the faith of Abraham is part of Israel. He said there is neither Jew or Gentile, Male or Female Bond or Free. We are all one in Christ Jesus.

Christ fulfilled the Mosaic Law on behalf of humanity because we are incapable of fulfilling it ourselves. The Old Testament scriptures pointed towards the coming of Christ. Jesus told the Jewish leaders that they search the scriptures because in them they look for eternal life and they speak of me. The New Covenant completes Gods message to Humanity. It also explains many things written in the Old Covenant that were unclear.

TO me the key to understanding the new covenant is in Hebrews, and is misunderstood by most because they look at the word change nad use their modern understanding, lets look at the greek language:

Hebrews 7:13, “For He of whom this is said belongs to another tribe, from which no one had attended at the Altar. For it is perfectly clear that our Master arose from Yehuḏah, a tribe about which Mosheh never spoke of concerning priesthood.”

Hebrews 7:11-12, “Now if perfection had been attainable through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need would there have been for another priest to arise after the order of Melchizedek, rather than one named after the order of Aaron? For the priesthood being changed (#G3331), there is made of necessity a change (#G3346) also of the law.”

“For the priesthood being changed (#G3331)”

“changed” is word #G3331 μετάθεσις metathesis (me-ta'-the-sis) n., transposition, i.e. transferral (to heaven), disestablishment (of a law). [from G3346], KJV: change, removing, translation, Root(s): G3346

Greek Word Study (Transliteration-Pronunciation Etymology & Grammar)
#G3331 μετάθεσις metathesis; 1) transfer: from one place to another 2) to change 2a) of things instituted or established

As in the priesthood on earth, the Levite priesthood has been abolished, and the Priesthood in the heavens, carried out by Yahshua is established. This “change” or “metathesis” is a removal of one that is replaced by another.

“there is made of necessity a change (#G3346) also of the law.”

Thayer's (New Testament Greek-English Lexicon)
From G3346; transposition, that is, transferral (to heaven), disestablishment (of a law):—change, removing, translation.

“change” is word #G3346 μετατίθημι metatithemi (me-ta-tiy'-thee-miy) v., 1. to transfer., 2. (literally) to transport., 3. (by implication) to exchange., 4. (reflexively) to change sides. [from G3326 and G5087], KJV: carry over, change, remove, translate, turn, Root(s): G3326, G5087

Greek Word Study (Transliteration-Pronunciation Etymology & Grammar)
#G3346 μετατίθημι metatithemi; 1) to transpose (two things, one of which is put in place of the other) 1a) to transfer 1b) to change 1c) to transfer one's self or suffer one's self to be transferred 1c1) to go or pass over 1c2) to fall away or desert from one person or thing to another

Thayer's (New Testament Greek-English Lexicon)
#G3346 μετατίθημι metatithemi; From G3326 and G5087; to transfer, that is, (literally) transport, (by implication) exchange, (reflexively) change sides, or (figuratively) pervert:—carry over, change, remove, translate, turn.

As in the Law has been transferred, not mediated by Levites but mediated by Yahshua the High Priest. This “change” or “metatithemi” is a transferral.

John/Yahanan 14:6, “Yahshua proclaimed to him: I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man comes to the Father, except through Me.”

Hebrews 7:24-25,"but He, because He remains forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. Therefore He is also able to save completely those who draw near to יהוה through Him, ever living to make intercession for them."

It was spoken long ago, yet most make their own framework

Psalm 111:9, “He sent redemption to His people, He has commanded His covenant forever. Set-apart and awesome is His Name."

Hebrews. 9:26, “For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.”

Psalm 89:26-37, “He will call out to Me; ‘You are My Father, O YHWH! You are the Rock of My salvation!’ And I will make Him My firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth. My mercy I will keep for Him forever and My covenant will stand fast with Him. And I will establish His Seed forever, and His throne will be as the days of heaven. Should His children forsake My Law, and refuse to walk in My judgments; Should they profane My statutes, and fail to keep My commandments; Then I will punish their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with lashes from the whip. Nevertheless, My lovingkindness I will not utterly withdraw from Him, nor will I ever betray My faithfulness. My covenant I will not break, nor will I change what has gone out of My lips. Once for all, I have vowed by My holiness, I cannot lie, and I say to David; His Seed will endure forever, and his throne will endure before Me like the sun. His throne will be established forever like the moon: the faithful witness in the sky.”

If "fulfill" means to "destroy" or "do it so you don't have to"

then all righteousnessi s "destroyed" or " done so you dont have to"

Matthew 3:15, “But יהושע answering, said to him, “Permit it now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill righteousness.” Then he permitted Him.”

Everything about this post is WRONG!

The New covenant does NOT "wipe out" OT Scripture - just a straw-man.
What the New covenant does do is replace the Sinaitic covenant - big difference

The fact that God IS eternal does not negate the above fact that the New covenant replaces the Sinaitic covenant!

If you sincere you owe it to yourself to actually research what a covenant is, hint: it is like a contract.
Think about who were the parties to the Sinaitic covenant and who are the parties to the New covenant.
Then consider the terms of the covenants - they are NOT the same, the New covenant is NOT a retread of the Sinaitic covenant - in particular the Torah is NOT part of the New covenant.

Please do not complain that I have not provided a wall of Scripture to back this up - you need to do the research.
The only correct assertion that you made was that God is eternal, but you used that fact to make an incorrect claim.

The new covenant is with Israel, for Jesus came unto His own,and His own received Him not,and Jesus said salvation is of the Jews.

The Old Testament was only given to Israel, and the New Testament was only given to Israel, and when a Gentile is saved they become a Jew inward, and part of the commonwealth of Israel.

Unless it is speaking of the millennial reign of Christ when the kingdom is restored to Israel when God gathers all the Jews from the nations, and leaves them none of them in the nations anymore, and will make a full end of all Gentile nations, but not make a full end of Israel, but she will not be wholly unpunished for her sins and iniquities against God,and God will not hide His face from the Jews again, and they shall know the LORD their God from that time forward, which cannot be a past prophesy because Israel is not in the truth as a nation, and there is still Jews in the nations.

Israel is blinded in part, until salvation is no longer available to the Gentiles, and so all Israel shall be saved.

But this happen because Israel as a nation accepted Jesus,so the new covenant can only be by confessing Jesus, and His salvation.

Israel is the Church, and everything given to them, and a Gentile can belong to it.

Many new testament (new covenant) Christians are trying to walk in and see Jesus through the old covenant and it doesn't work. We have the Holy Spirit who leads us into all truth. The law is no longer our school master. The born again Christian has a new spirit and has the Holy Spirit. To depend on the law is to ignore the ministry of the HolySpirit and the finished work of Christ.

"To depend on the Law" this is strawman, obedience to what He says is depending on Him...

Just being real, not trying to be mean, while that soulds wonderful nad Im sure is all the rave as church, it is not true accoriding to Yahshua and His disciples:

John/Yahanan 14:15, “If you love Me, keep My commandments.”

Mat 11:27-30, "All things have been delivered to Me by My Father. And no one fully knows the Son except the Father, neither does anyone fully know the Father, except the Son and those whom YHWH wills the Son to reveal. Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light"

1 John 5:2-3, "By this we know that we love the children of Yah, when we love Yah and guard His commands. For this is the love for Yah, that we guard His commands, and His commands are not heavy."

1 Yahanan /John 2:3-7, “And by this we know that we know Him, if we guard His commands. The one who says, “I know Him,” and does not guard His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever guards His Word, truly the love of Yah has been perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. The one who says he stays in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked. Beloved, I write no fresh command to you, but an old command which you have had from the beginning. The old command is the Word which you heard from the beginning.”

The Mosaic Covenant tells Israel how God created the world to work well for humans, it is a contract promising blessings to result from actions it defines. The new covenant adds to that, giving us a knowledge of what of our actions bring about the blessings put in our hearts through and Holy Spirit and giving us Christ for our repentance and forgiveness from sin.

Hebrews were established to show us God, we are adopted into Israel. God does not make it rain on only Jews leaving gentiles dry, it rains on both. Hebrews were given a special blessings because God used them for our benefit, but God is our Father as well as the Father of Israel.

Do you believe that Christians must abide by the terms of the old covenant?
If not, must Christians abide by any of the terms of the old covenant?
If so, how do you interpret Paul's letter to the Galatians?

Why do you say "must abide"?

If you choose to abide by how the Lord who created you and saved you tells you because you love the Lord and know it works best to follow Him would you put on a long face saying I must abide?

Paul was an observant Jew. He never instructed anyone to rebel against the Father, ignore His guidance and blessings God promised.

Of course the covenant was made with Israel, but as Paul rightly said to the Gentiles at Ephesus that they too were included in the covenant promises by faith:

Eph 2:12 remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

The question of the covenants are really important because many Christians don't understand what it means. I was saved for 40yrs. and never heard of us being in any kind of new covenant that changed from the old testament. Our family believed and still do (I don't) that the only difference is we don't follow the Jewish laws and traditions of Jewish ceremonies., or sacrifice sheep and goats like they did. We had different kinds of "traditions" as Christians.

The deeper meaning of no longer depending on the works of the law worked out in our flesh for our right standing with God is major. Today Christians are saved by grace through faith in Jesus but many are living by their works. We also need to LIVE and walk by grace through faith by the spirit because of Christ . That is what we are called to.. Faith in the finished work of Jesus and not our unfinished works of daily life here on earth.

Walk IN the spirit-man (new creation) directed and lead by the HolySpirit. This cannot be done by our flesh (old manner of life and living) It must be done by our new spirit man made in Christ when we were born again.

Romans 8:1-2

Therefore, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus.

2 [/SUP]For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of death.

FOR THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHIRST JESUS HAS FREED ME FROM THE LAW OF SIN AND OF DEATH.

Dodge. Please answer the questions as asked.
our entire line of thought is not in line with God's thought. If you went to the Lord and asked if nyou must abide by what He says you would be told you were given free will to do with your life as you choose.

In the book of Acts we are told of Christians who checked Paul said against what scripture (OT) said. They would believe Paul only if he agreed with scripture and they found that he did.

If you are finding disagreements then scripture nwould have you throw Galatians out. I find none.

I find disturbing your previous posts combined with your unwillingness to answer basic questions regarding your beliefs. It sounds to me as though you are confused about the clear distinction between the old covenant of Mosaic laws and the new covenant in the blood of Jesus.

Lawyers and judaizers can't understand the New Covenant.

First of all they don't even really want to understand.

And second the bible says why they don't understand. In a few places.

John 3:18-21
[SUP]18 [/SUP]He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
