Does entering into Jesus' rest mean we're to give up the Sabbath day? Is the 4th commandment part of the moral law of God?

Can you show me any law or ceremony that Jesus did not fulfill?
The Talmud is trying to tell exactly how to obey each command, like how far they can walk on Sabbath. Are you trying to write a Talmud for Christians?

Is your definition of the word fulfill actually destroy? Christ said he destroyed nothing. Everything in the OT Christ did in a more complete better way. He fulfilled the office of the priest, and that office is in operation today with Christ our High Priest. He gave His blood to pay for our sin, before it was the blood of innocent animals. Christ fulfilled this millions of times better.

William Miller set a date for Jesus return and he wasn't a SDA at the time and as far as I know SDA has never set a date for Jesus return as we believe no man knows the day or the hour of His return.... not sure where you are getting your facts.
No, but then they claimed the 1844 date was correct and twisted Miller's date setting into Jesus entering into the heavenly sanctuary. Another bogus idea to feed the "flock".

the next time you tell me I am bearing false witness against you when I say that you think you have to keep the Sabbath to be saved, I will point you back here.

and Christ's way? He said " come to Me, all you who are weary, and I will give you rest ".

he did NOT say " rest on the Sabbath ".
Good! This post says nothing about salvation. Salvation has to do with faith and says nothing about works or what you decide about the Sabbath. If you find such a scripture please post it, many would be interested.

Christ said many things, including "come to me", "follow me" and "I am the way, the truth and the life".
Are you saying that because Christ will give us rest we must never attend church? If so, I don't think that is the intention of scripture.

what you are trying to do here is make Sabbath keeping a " required option ".

there is no such thing as a required option.

either keeping the Sabbath is a part of Salvation through Christ or it is not.

i't can' be both.

So tell me the different between rest that Jesus give to us and rest in sabbath.
Like i said Christ is the centre of all that is Good. The Sabbath rest is good because we give up our time and priorities to spend with Christ and get to know Him. We can do this anytime (morning, afternoon for a week or an hour) but God chose a day in every week (the 7th day not the 1st or the 3rd), a day specifically set aside and made Holy so that we can spend time with God without distraction. Rest in Jesus is something we have when we realise that He has forgiven our sins, that peace we experience from being in Him.

God in His divine love seen how work and play could cause us to not have enough rest, (spiritual mental and physical), so He gave us the Sabbath.

Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Im afraid you have have totally misunderstood what I wrote. Maybe if you reread it, real slow, it will become clear to you.

By the way, was God tired when He rested the 7th day? Or was He trying to teach us something?

Would someone please explain to me if I have this right? 1) The Mosiac “old” covenant was the Decalogue (10 commandments plus all the ceremonial law); 2) those in Christ are now under the new covenant (under the law of Christ which is to love God and to love others, which sums up the law and the prophets); 3) the new covenant did away with the old covenant; 4) there are parts of the old covenant that can been seen in the new covenant (to love) but none of the ceremonial things (including keeping any sabbath days (including the weekly Sabbath))... thanks🙂

Act 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
Act 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

God will wink at our ignorance, if you are sincere, but if we know the truth and chose to reject it we don't have an excuse.
God will talk to our hearts and will reveal the truth when we are ready.

The royal law and the ceremonial law are not the same.

as 2:8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
Jas 2:9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
Jas 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
Jas 2:11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
Jas 2:12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.
Jas 2:13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.

Exo 19:25 So Moses went down unto the people, and spake unto them.

Exo 20:1 And God spake all these words, saying,

Exo 20:2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Read on and you can see if there is any distinction made between the Decalogue and the rest.

Or you could cover yer bases and observe the sabbath.

About Covenant
So many are saying " Don't you realise that we are living under the New Covenant now and shouldn't be keeping the sabbath?"
No one can deny that there are Old Testament statements which refer to the Ten Commandments as a covenant; however, it will be our purpose here to show that the Ten-Commandment law was not the Old Covenant which was abolished.

What is a covenant?
There are many types and forms, but basically a covenant is an agreement between two parties based upon mutual promises. All through the centuries God has dealt with His people on the basis of covenants. He is a reasonable God, and he invites, "Come now, and let us reason together." Isaiah 1:18.
One covenant between the Father and the Son has not changed. Jesus offered Himself there in the vast eternity of the past as the "Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." Revelation 13:8. He agreed to become the atoning sacrifice to redeem man, should Adam and Eve choose to sin.
The terms of that eternal covenant have never been changed or superseded. Although many other covenants have been established through the years, the simple provision of salvation through faith has remained in effect through all ages, for all mankind.

The covenant which has caused the most misunderstanding, though, is designated as "the Old Covenant" by the writer of Hebrews. He also describes the institution of a new covenant which has some very important advantages over the old. Here is how he describes the two:
Heb 8:6 "But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: ... For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away." Hebrews 8:6-13.

From what you have read so far how do you justify that the 10 commandments are not part of the new or are gone altogether?

Heb 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
Heb 4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
Heb 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. Joh 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. Mat 12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

Where does it say that the sabbath is part of the new covenant?

Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

So the new covenant is "Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers" yet it still contains keeping the sabbath according to unamazingSDAfacts.org.

Mat 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
Luk_23:56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.
Act_13:42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.
Act_13:44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.
Act_17:2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
Act_18:4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.
