Sorry you dont get the point you qouted oone verse to speak about slaves not keeping sabbath but have to go to other verse to say that other commandments are to be kept not the verse that you first mentioned hmmmmm

naughty naughty you should be consistant but here is a verse you should alsoo explain be able tp me
Hebrews 4

King James Version (KJV)

4 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
UMMM And why weren't they able to enter His rest? You really need to back to chapter three.

Hebrews 3

19 So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief.

yip you are correct unbelief in keeping the sabbath that is one

There profane His sabbath trangressed his covenants etc

same as people are doing today the are in unbelief that they are to keep the sabbath thus will not enter into that eternal rest

you have to enter into the first rest to entrer into the eternal rest

Salvation is not dependent on keeping the sabbath

Salvation is by God's Grace alone!

I keep the Sabbath because it pleases God!

Does your earthly fathers grace and forgiveness depend upon following his every command? I hope not. If not then why would your Heavenly Father who is perfect require you to obey for you to receive His grace and mercy?

Would God rather have you keep The Sabbath out of fear of losing salvation? Or would God be more pleased with you keeping the Sabbath out of love obedience and respect?

I do think it is a sin to not keep the Sabbath but salvation is by God's grace alone. Sin is what receive salvation from. So if sin prevented salvation, then salvation would not even exist

What does going to church on Sunday have to do with the SABBATH in the first place? Go to church is a gathering of the believers on the first day of the week. THE SABBATH WAS A DAY OF REST it was not set aside as a day of gathering together of believers. Under the Mosaic law you were NOT SUPPOSE TO GO ANYWHERE.

Exodus 16

28 Then the Lord said to Moses, “How long will you[c]refuse to keep my commands and my instructions? 29 Bear in mind that the Lord has given you the Sabbath; that is why on the sixth day he gives you bread for two days. Everyone is to stay where they are on the seventh day; no one is to go out.” 30 So the people rested on the seventh day.

So please tell me where it's OK to go out on the day that you observe the Sabbath? No where did God say it was NOT OK to for believers to gather together on the first day of the week. But you do have that restriction for the Sabbath itself.

Why were not to go out and for what why did God mentioned that because of what
hmmm read the whole chapter my friend

Acts 16:13
And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.

Yes by God's grace anything is possible. When I was young I lied... How many among us have desired someone sexually, to simply think this is adultery... What about the thief on the cross beside Christ whom Jesus said would see the kingdom of His Father? He had clearly violated God's Commandments.

Simply I would never sin and disobey God purposefully. That said my salvation is by grace alone.

Does that kinda make sense?...

I am not suggesting it is pleasing to God to not observe the Sabbath... Simply saying disobedience does not mean you can not receive God's grace.

I do not believe we are worthy of heaven or grace.
We do not earn or deserve salvation...

Salvation is simply by the grace of God

Daniel by the way I really love you

I also have to say we both agree 100% that The Sabbath should without a doubt be observed and kept...
I don't think it is required to receive salvation but the good news is if it is I am fine in the end because I always observe the Sabbath out of love for Christ!

please know I love you and feel you are more knowledgable about scripture..
i trust you and learn from you too

God bless,
lexi

Romans 3:24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Romans 2:13

King James Version (KJV)

13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

Galatians 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

hmmm i wonder if the sunday keepers can explain this

Are we Justified by law and grace or grace alone

In reading Romans 3:24 I really think it means by faith because to me Grace is given to all those who accept, believe in and follow Jesus. Though it's tricky cause can one accept Christ and follow Him without doing His work.. For me that's a no.
It is like I am contradicting myself, but I think works are part of following God, while salvation is still God's love and grace.

The Galations scripture seems to me to not be a law of the ten, unless it is putting no God's before God... I'm kinda confused by it and would need to read the surrounding text to know for sure but I take it as anyone who is consumed by following the law has not committed to faith and loses the grace of our Lord. Mostly I think it would be referring followers to put their faith in Jesus and His grace not in deeds...

Please clarify if I'm totally missing the point :)

  • Romans 3:28Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

  • Romans 5:1Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

your are correct is is not about the ten commandment many see law and automatically think ten there was the law of circumsion that was disputing there
[h=3]Galatians 2[/h]King James Version (KJV)

1 Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also.
2 And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.
3 But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised:
4 And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:

What was the bondage to be circumcised

Abraham I believe like David was by faith... Correct me if I'm wrong

[h=3]Romans 4[/h]King James Version (KJV)

1 What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?
2 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.
3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
