For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps, who committed no sin , nor was any deceit found in H is mouth ; and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously; and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.

For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit; Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you—not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,

Looks like Peter preaching the death and resurrection of Jesus.
But during Luke 9:6?

how do you treat them differently, specifically in the present context: discussion about soteriology ?
It would be about being a kinder, gentler, less aggressive Holy Roller. I`m a pushover at heart when it comes to women and kids and not ashamed to be old fashioned. I`m a relic from the old America back in the twentieth century.

intricacies of timelines really have no bearing on this. at just the right time, Christ died for the ungodly.
i'm sure in your own mind, you sound cool & froody.
It`s a shame that you don`t live up to your Sunday penance. Even more so that you lack the courage to explore his contention with an open mind. Just a snarky response that doesn`t even begin to refute what he is saying. Again and again you show me why I choose to ignore most of your questions.

I don't see anywhere in Scripture that tells us to treat men and women differently in discussion about Scripture. Perhaps you think it's okay to have two standards.
I could post up scriptures for you but I think Ill pass and leave you to your darkness.

Your attitude is terrible. Where is the fruit of the Holy Spirit in your life, because it certainly isn't in your posts here.

Gal 1
15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,

16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

17 Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.

18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.

You are assuming Paul went directly to the gentiles.
He went to Arabia to sort out and be instructed by Jesus and the Holy Spirit The Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.
meanwhile Peter had also received the revelation of the gospel to the gentiles.

But later in the council in Jerusalem,It was PETER who spoke of the gospel to the gentiles with Paul present and silent.

I didn`t assume anything, I just didn`t address it. I said Paul was preaching, I didn`t say to who. You don`t know your scripture or your history.

Acts 9
15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:

Paul`s mission to the Gentiles isn`t a secret in Acts 9 and he is in Jerusalem so of course he is preaching to Jews. Peter, his dream and experience with the Gentile is just a preperation for his help in supporting Paul. Peter didn`t have a crusade to the Gentiles until late in his life after Paul was already dead. As far as Paul`s silence in Acts 15, he always subordinated himself to the 12 and the Jerusalem church. Plus the bible says this: "For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible." For all his talent Paul was neither charismatic or a good public speaker. All good reasons for him to let someone else speak for him at the Jerusalem council. Your post proves nothing except that you like to add to scripture.

And your attitude is good? Like Paul, my speech is contemptable at times but I don`t think any of you boys have room to talk. My response to this message board spam is unfortunate but it reveals little about my life. You along with some others are the ones who force me to fight for the right to speak. Don`t cry when you feel my sting.

And mostly, you`ll have to forgive me Dino but I`m not going to provide a lesson on how the Bible says to treat woman to a bunch of guys who have mocked me and treated me with insults and disrespect. Not happenin :cautious:

Is it that hard for you to agree to disagree politely?

All of us reason in part here. There is no need to go LOL, or "you people", when others view scripture differently from you.
well I am laughing because of the ridiculous twisting of scripture

do you prefer Paul's calling people accursed for preaching a false gospel?

shrugs

you are not viewing scripture differently. you are literally creating your own scripture and it is not inspired by the Holy Spirit

however it is most likely inspired

To people who disagree with what we believe in, we might consider them doing "ridiculous twisting".

But we don't see things "as they are", we see things "as we are".

It takes a certain degree of humility to recognize that "Hey I am only seeing from my point of view and my view may not necessary be the correct one. If I really put myself in the other person's shoes and understand where he is coming from, he might be making sense from his point of view too."

I have to admit I am a bit amused to see a Pauline Christian get accused of Galatian error. Can anybody say irony ? I never would have thought I`d see it. My fault really because I pushed Peter`s side instead of Paul`s  It`s been fun working with you.

well I'm not falling for that line

all you are really doing is asking people to be polite while you misinterpret scripture and preach a two gospel system that does not exist

where does the Bible tell us to tolerate a false gospel and understand where the purveyor of the false gospel is coming from?

nowhere. we are told to contend for the faith

maybe brush up on some things Paul had to say

But we don't see things "as they are", we see things "as we are".
no dude. the gospel transforms people to see what Christ says

you seem to have a very secular and humanistic approach which is not biblical

listen...perhaps you should understand that those who understand there is only one gospel, are never going to consider another gospel

your social gospel or two tiered system is not anything that needs consideration

quite a few people have refuted the op mulitple times and he is just playing games with his troll like behavior

we have all used scripture while he continues to fabricate the line that we have not

neither of you are honest about what you are doing...you are just superficially polite, while underneath, you are doing what Paul said was accursed

there is no way to be polite when you take that into consideration

going to discontinue to respond to you as well

right

from the time women could not vote and were basically considered property. the time a man could hit his wife if he felt like it and she had no recourse. stuff like that.

that kind of pushover

Complaint can be mutual. I`m not seeing much in the way of scripture here. Nothing to promote your contentions.
