Stop playing with the word of God and confusing definitions please... you're sowing more and more confusion on here. Just stop please! I have not seen recently someone that stubborn and even on this forum, thinking he is the only person enlightened on the forum, in addition to that. So deluded.

31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

I didn't change a word. Just stop trying to make this verse fit what you believe.

Proverbs 15

29 The Lord is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.

Do you go to please man or to worship God? You do not have to tell anybody, including the members of the church. It is between you and God. Keep it to yourself, God is the only just God.

Fine I hope what i will say next will help you understand, ServantofGod. I didnt want to say this, but you all have given me no choice. I have been a Christian since i was 5 years old. However when i entered puberty i began struggling with the desire to crossdress. This is WRONG!! I need to stop, but it is something i struggle with. No, it is true i dont do it out of spite, i do it cause it is fleshy desire and i feel as if maybe i was born like this, or with a tendancy. Regardless, its wrong! I will not justify it. I would be a fool to justify my own sin. Its wrong and i know it and im trying to stop. I have struggled with this for 7 years. But i am trying to fight against my desires and live for God. That is the difference.
That is your walk, sir. Every man must work out his own salvation and be fully convinced in his own mind in doing so. If the OP decides to go straight, then so be it.

Is there any other SIN that is so openly praised, like being gay? Do people give parades, parties and get applause for cheating, stealing, evading taxes, murdering, molesting, etc? Satan is a liar who whispers 'It's ok. GOD created you that way. Your pituatary gland is sized different. Those holy roller church folk, they're just homophobic!" What makes me sick is that gays think the world needs to stand, salute, accept, and cheerfully praise them because they are lustful with others of the same sex. There is no such thing as a gay who doesn't touch or want to be sexually aroused by someone of their own sex. GET THIS STRAIGHT....GOD does not smile on sodomy. HE created a rainbow as a symbol of HIS promise to not destroy the earth again by a FLOOD; not for that rainbow to be blazenly exhibited as a bumper sticker to tell the world "HEY, look at me..I am a HOMO!

Claiming Bible knowledge is not salvation. I knew the bible for years before conversion.

We had a lesbian, who was not in a current relationship and more towards the male side if you know what I mean, start coming to our church...I allowed her to stay and our church welcomed her with open arms...Her not her SIN, but Her...not one of my folks ever judged her, told her she was living in SIN, scolded her or separated from her...they simply loved her with the Love of Christ.

I could tell the messages were working because I could tell she was being undone by the love of the God shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost.

Her salvation happened at a small connect group meeting in a home, led by, one of my very spiritually mature couples.
She asked they call me to come over as soon as she received Jesus.

She told me that for the 8 weeks she had been attending, she was consistently overwhelmed by a love she had never known.
I was unconditional and so deep that it made her undone. She wanted that love more and more.

She shared with us that night how as a child she had been beaten and sexually abused by men in her mothers life...by 13 she was homeless and working the streets as a prostitute and at 18 was taken in by the "mother" she never had, who got her into porn and taught her all about lesbian love and abuse. At 24 she was strung out on drugs and had been arrested for dealing and was on bail when she attempted suicide. 6 months after that attempt and with no hope, she wondered into our church and told us that she drove by the church for 20 minutes fighting God about going in. She finally said, fine I will go in, and if you are real God, the guy talking better have on a red and white striped shirt...and if says hey we are glad you are here, then I will know you real.

I was planning on wearing a blue shirt that night, but my wife had been worshiping God and praying before service and said, nope, wear the read and white striped shirt, so I did. I was in mid message when the door opened and she walked in and made her way to the front row. I stopped and said, hey, we are glad you are here! and continued.

That woman is 29 today , married with 2 kids, and with her husband runs a ministry that reaches out to teens engaged in porn production and prostitution.
Well I rejoice over the fact that this person was changed. But am I to accept your testimony of this woman's changed life and the method used for the proper procedure regarding such cases over the changed man in the Corinthian Church and the method that Paul prescribed for sexual immorality? I think not.

You can't base success on one hypothetical case, but you need to follow the prescribed procedure outlined in the bible and leave the rest up to God. And who's to say that following your prescribed procedure for handling such matters wouldn't leave a person living in sin the rest of their life?

One thing I might add, it doesn't sound like this woman was openly convinced or boastful about her sexuality being ok and perhaps the Spirit was already at work within her. With that said, I probably would judge each case individually and pray for discernment in the matter. However, open sin, whatever it is, should be confronted in Christian love with humility and love.

Hi,

Did this Christian say he committed sodomy or that he is "open?"

At least now you're making your hatred plain! You would kick him out too!
Are you calling Paul a hater too? Do you not believe Paul? Are you a universalist, everyone gets to heaven even against their own wishes? I must conclude that I think your ideas of love and hate are misconstrued.

Paul's immoral man in Corinthians was already planted in the church at Corinth, not a lost person coming in for hope. Surely you can see the difference. If the young woman had been planted in the church and was known to be a daughter of God by her fruit and lifestyle and then admitted she was leading a life outside the church as a lesbian, it would have been handled totally different.

It also seems to me you think the prescribed policy in Corinthians is for anyone coming into the church who is living an immoral lifestyle, is that what you meant to write? Because that is not at all what is said, much less what the Epistles of Corinthians are about. Think church and church member correction and it might open your eyes.

For the record she was not the only one and I would imagine a lot of those the Lord sent to us at the church would love you despite you calling them and their conversion "hypothetical"

If Paul was living today, you'd classify and crucify him as a so called "universalist" as well. Yes I believe all men are saved, because my Lord said He would!

What do you think "new" is? Do not judge this flesh as all there is, but look past the veil and death to see us all made in His image! That is where my eyes are set in EVERYTHING I do!

Why do you profess to believe in the bible's instructions when you make the choice to cherry pick verses about being against homosexuality and choose to ignore the instructions to murder adulteresses, which are found in the same book? It's because you make a choice to, the same way I make the choice to point it out on a Christian forum on a thread talking about homosexuality being an abomination (as in Leviticus). It all seems rather pertinent to me, and while you'd probably like for me to divert my attention away from the issue at hand and go on some silly back and forth about the merits of an atheist counter-arguing with a Christian by using the bible, your response shows your obvious unease at the argument I put forward, since you chose to focus on the poster rather than address the content of the post. The reason you're uneasy is because you can't argue with the logic.

If you follow some instructions from Leviticus because they're convenient and don't follow others out of aversion to their moral repugnancy, its pretty obvious you make the choice to just follow whichever parts of Leviticus take your fancy and ignore the ones which don't. Hence, any opinion you have on homosexuality being repugnant by virtue of its biblical condemnation in Leviticus is quite disingenous and something I will consider sufficiently inconsistent to disregard entirely.

Please find a new argument, or be consistent in your views and admit stoning people to death for wearing clothing of mixed fabric (Leviticus) is just as valid a teaching as hating homosexuality (Leviticus).
This exhibits a complete lack of knowledge and understanding of how this Law was dispensed. Reading your post would make one believe that Israel was nothing more than a bunch of vigilantes dispensing justice with a hanging rope. NOTHING could be further from the truth.

If one were accused of a capital crime, that person had to appear before the Priests, witnesses were called and if the situation were not clear cut and obvious, then they called on God Almighty to show the judgment. If the person were adjudicated guilty, then the penalty was dispensed according to the instructions in the Law. The Priests used the instructions to carry out justice exactly as God instructed them.

In Leviticus, the Laws that were given and the justice dispensed was much more equitable than that of today. Do you think that Eric Garner received justice? Do you suppose Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu received justice?

There are actually very few Laws that demand capital punishment. Thieves were to restore what they stole with an added penalty.

Now, let's see you put your money where your mouth is and show us where Leviticus says to execute someone for wearing mixed garments.

The OP is looking for a church that will openly accept his sexual orientation. This isn't some guy coming off the street curious about what the church is about. He says he knows what the bible says about homosexuality, and he's not look for the church or God to change him, but wanting to change the church.

Also, what is the main purpose gathering of the saints, is to evangelize those that are there, NO, although this may happen, it is for corporate worship and to teach those there to evangelize and to send them out.

That is true. Now ask yourself, do you literally hate your mother or children? Then I suggest you seek understand of what He means by this.

For those that would like to know, this is the crucifying of the flesh in your mind. No greater love there is than for a man to give his life for others.

You know what my kids got from me for Christmas? Nothing. Do you know how that makes me look to their moms? My family? But I sacrifice for them, taking on the reproach in order to raise them in the path of the Lord. They do not have to live this lifestyle of ours where it's survival of the fittest.

I know what it means. Not to put your closest family members or friends above Christ and His commands. It has nothing to do with Christmas, you are so whacked. I never thought I'd meet a liberal universalist and a legalist all in one. wow...

I do not have to accuse of anything. Your words do. Surely if you are judging and condemning by the law, you will be judged and condemned by the same!

Are you a sinner? If so do you see yourself saved as such? But of the gay man you exclude from the love you have of yourself in which, being a sinner, you STILL see saved! Thus anyone who hates his brother is a murderer!

Flaming Spirit now Servant of God, are we telling the truth there? I dont think so. I exclude no one.God does! You cannot continue in a gay lifestyle and have hope of heaven.Thats what the Bible says, end of story. You cannot continue any sin and reach heaven. But we are talking about homosexuals because that is what the OP brought up.
