- In Chapter 20, we are told about the difference between Jonathan and his father Saul!

- Jonathan knows God is with David!

- He knows he will become king!

- His friendship with David is more important than becoming a king!

- Jonathan keeps assuring David that he will do everything to protect him and to warn him whenever possible!

- They make a covenant between each other so that David will about Jonathan’s household if he dies because of his loyal love to David!

- Finally Jonathan tells David to flee because Saul wants to kill him!

- Here we have a good example of a father who acts badly and a son who does the contrary!

- That’s what we call free will!

- In chapter 21, David asks the help of a priest Ahimelec!

- At first, Ahimelec is afraid!

- David invents a story and he asks for some bread!

- He gets holy bread reserved to the priests!

- He also gets a sword, the sword of Goliath!

- And he keeps going away from Saul!

- A servant of Saul is there!

- In the books written by Moses, Moses is the Israel’s leader chosen by God!

- Then In the book of Joshua, Joshua is the new leader!

- He is trained by Moses!

- We are told about Joshua in Exodus 17!

- There Moses tells him to choose men and fight the Amalekites!

- And Joshua defeats the Amalekites!

- And God tells Moses to write as a memorial in the book that God will completely erase the Amalekites!

- And God tells Moses not only to write it but also to repeat it to Joshua!

- Thus God choses Joshua!

- In Exodus 24, We are told that Joshua is Moses’ attendant!

- He gets up with Moses when Moses goes up to the mountain of God to receive the Law!

- In Exodus 32, Joshua hears the noise done by the Israelites and he tells Moses there is the sound of battle in the camp!

- Thus Joshua has nothing to do with the spiritual prostitution, of Israel!

- Again in Exodus 33, we are told that Joshua is Moses’ minister and attendant!

- As we can see, Joshua is second after Moses!

- Thus the continuity of the leadership of Israel is well organized before and after the arrival at the promised land!

- Thus it is completely different of the time of the book of Judges!

- Then a judge is chosen by God and at his death, God chooses another one!

- And it happens again!

- But God’s promise is accomplished!

- On the other side, we can’t say the same about the Israelites!

- In Numbers 11, we are told that Joshua is Moses’ minister from his youth!

- In Numbers 13, Joshua is among the 12 spies sent to Canaan!

- First he is called Hoshea (meaning savior or safety) and Moses gives him the name of Joshua (Yahweh is deliverance or opulence) !

- Only Joshua and Caleb give a good report about Canaan!

- They say that God will give them the land !

- They are the only ones to get into Canaan !

- In Numbers 27, God tells Moses to lay his hand on Joshua and he chooses him to become the new leader of israel !

- Thus everything is well organized by God !

- In Deuteronomy 31, Moses transmits the leadership to Joshua!

- And it is according to God’s will!

- Moses tells Joshua to be courageous and strong!

- And God will never abandon Joshua as he did with Moses!

- And God tells Moses about the future prostitution of Israel!

- And everything that is going to happen in consequence!

- Thus everything is well organized so Joshua can pursue Moses’ action and conquer the land of Canaan!

- He will prove to be a good leader!

- But no more!

- Then God will send Judges!

- And after that, Israel will ask for a human king!

- What an abomination!

- They can only think about acting against God!

- They were really lucky not to be erased from the earth!

- If we can call that to be lucky!

- You can read all the book of Joshua!

- He does everything according to what God says!

- He always goes straight away, never to the the left or to the right!

- He is so different from the rest of the Israelites!

- But he has a good teacher in the person of Moses!

- And he could see what happened to him because of the Israelites!

- He couldn’t get into the promised land because of one mistake due to the Israelites and their obstinacy!

- And they would obey God when he was alive but as soon as he died they opposed God!

- Life was so easy under the leadership of Joshua because he kept faithful to God!

- But the Israelites didn’t care, they never understood anything!

- They were always looking for troubles!

- Yes, Joshua was the leader of Israel who freed Canaan from the other nations thanks to God!

- Thus Joshua is put as an example walking continuously with God!

- In fact, there was no one like him in Canaan!

- And he acted that way from the very beginning!

- And he knew how the Israelites were!

- And before dying, he kept warning them!

- That’s also what we have to do!

- To warn people again and again!

- Listening to God’s word and not to man’s tradition!

- And it is not possible to stop otherwise it means being guilty!

- May I ask a question to everybody ?

- I will let people time!

- Then I will answer too!

- There is no trap!

- WHAT IS ALL THE BIBLE ABOUT EXCEPT THE FACT THAT IT IS GOD’S WORD ?

- There may be different answers depending on the elements we have!

This shows the Fallacy of those claiming those days were 24 hours!
Genesis 1:5, "God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day."
Genesis 1:8, "God called the dome Sky. And there was evening and there was morning, the second day."
Genesis 1:13, "...And there was evening and there was morning, the third day."

... and so on for six days.

It seems pretty clear that those days were 24 hours!

This shows the Fallacy of those claiming those days were 24 hours!
"Evening and morning" means 24 hours. For example, Genesis 1:5-6, "God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day." The Hebrew day begins at sunset and continues for 24 hours.

  • At the end of chapter 21, David goes to the Philistines to King Aʹchish of Gath!

  • And to be accepted among them he acts insane!

  • Thus gradually David learns how to survive by playing tricks!

  • We can imagine how useful it will be when he becomes king!

  • But power corrupts!

  • And you start to forget your youth!

  • And you start to think you can do whatever you want!

  • And you start to forget Yah·weh!

  • In Chapter 22, we see David who keeps following Yah.weh!
  • He goes where he is told to go by Yah.weh’s prophet!
  • On the contrary, Saul does according to his own will!
  • He keeps going away from Yah.weh!
  • When he is told about Ahimelec, he wants him and all the priests of his father’s house to be brought to him!
  • And he accused him of conspiracy!
  • He doesn’t care about what Ahimelec says!
  • And Saul tells his guards to kill Ahimelec and all the priests of Yah.weh!
  • He opposes Yah.weh, he fights Yah.weh!
  • And he thinks he won’t have a very bad end!
  • This attitude is so usual!
  • And then people are surprised when they have a very bad end!
  • How blind!
  • But so was Israel!
  • And Judah !
  • And mankind!
  • And as if it was not enough, he strikes Nob the city of the priests and destroys everything!
  • Men, women, children, infants and animals!
  • But he will pay for that and his sons too!
  • Yah.weh’s justice!
  • And Yah.weh’s day won’t be different!
  • Yah.weh’s justice!
  • It won’t be any surprise even if for the majority it will be a surprise!
  • But it is written everywhere in the Bible!
  • Always the same warning!
  • And they don’t listen!

  • In Chapter 22, after the murders of the priests, one son of Ahimelec can escape and goes to David!
  • And David tells him that he will be under his protection!
  • David adds he is responsible for the murders because he saw Doeg and he knew he was going to tell Saul!
  • Thus David assumes his responsibilities!
  • He is a man of honor!
  • But he will become king!
  • And gradually he will lose this quality!
  • It is something difficult to get!
  • But when you get power, it is also easy to lose!
  • It is like accurate knowledge!
  • It is hard to get it!
  • You need to study the Bible a lot!
  • Because the Bible is multidimensional!
  • But it is difficult to understand that!
  • People usually prefer to stay at the surface!

  • In Chapter 23, the Philistines are fighting against Keilah!
  • So David asks Yah.weh if he must fight against them!
  • And Yah.weh tells him to go!
  • But his men are afraid!
  • So David asks Yah.weh a second time!
  • And Yah.weh tells him to go!
  • There we can see that David tries his best to follow Yah.weh’s will!
  • He does not do it according to his own will!
  • But when he becomes king, gradually he will start to act according to his own will and not according to Yah.weh’s will!
  • And then he will get into big trouble!
  • We must not forget the example of David!

Does everyone agree that the 6 days in the creation story were 24 hour days as we recognize them?
